  1. Terrible Company. Beware

The actual price you end up paying is twice the quoted one by Sam. Delivery date would not be 1-10 business days as their contract says. Mine has been over 10 days, and this company disappeared with my items. They are not answering the phones nor replying to my emails. I am not sure where my items are or how to get them back. Lies all around.

  2. Amazing price fast delivery

We got flooded by sales calls after looking for some help online. Everyone I spoke to wanted a small ransom or the bid was much lower then I thought and it was really frustrating. Sam came out to our storage and looked everything over. I was happy and hired them on the spot. I really didn't believe them when a 2-7 day delivery window was given since the distance was over 1000 miles but they got it to us in 4 days.

  3. Did a great job

Had to find some help with a last minute move. The price was good and they only took a few days to drop our stuff off. My stuff had already left before I saw these reviews and got worried but we couldn't have been happier with everythin.

  4. Con artists. Beware!

I was moving from a 3br HOUSE in Missouri to storage unit in Kentucky. I was quoted $2,300. I was told to pay a down payment of $687 and then have a money order for $801.50 at pick up and then $801.50 at delivery. I was led to believe that was it.

The movers get there and Sam says we have more than what's in the contract. The quote I got was based on TEN items and 100 boxes (500 cubic sq ft). That's ridiculous to give a quote that low for a house. He said it will be approximately $1500 more. He's talking about "fuel surcharges" and everything that should have already been in the quote. Now we're up to $3800. After the truck is fully packed, we're doing the paperwork, the $2300 move is now $6,000!! He calls his boss, he wasn't budging. Their favorite words are "Have you read the contract". I got some charges taken off and my balance is $4600 now.

They picked up my things Aug 31 and delivered Sept 22. The semi driver gets to my storage and walks the property and found a way to try and get more money. He said he can't make a last turn to get out. He said he can get two shuttles and load them but I would have to unload by myself. If he unloaded, it would be $1500. I screamed I'm not paying a penny more than my balance. He said "Did you read the contract". He offered to call his boss, I refused. He said "Do you want me to call the police". I said "please do".

The storage facility offered me a unit at another location about 2 miles away. He unloaded. When he was leaving, I heard him just relentlessly blowing the horn. I walked back to see the problem because I thought he was in distress. A pickup truck was parked by their unit but they were not on the property. The AAA driver was stressing out. He eventually got in the truck and was able to make the turn the same way he could have before trying to get another $1500 out of me at the other place.

Avoid this company unless they come out and do an in person estimate. Don't believe a word they say over the phone or email.

  5. Very bad company.. avoid it!

I moved from St. Louis to Birmingham. I spoke to Steve Wright in Feb, who was super nice. He said that my home stuff will be delivered within 5 days. He said they are NOT broker. I signed the contract. They picked up my home furniture on Thursday June 18th. Then I moved to Birmingham on Sunday because I was under impression that my home furniture will be delivered on Monday June 22nd.

I called the AAA family move and the boss answered my phone. He is so rude and disrespectful. He said (did you read the contract? Go read the contract then call us after 7 business days-June 30th). I told him Steve wright told me without 5 days! He said I don’t care what Steve said! The manager name is Anatoliy Yakovlev. He is rude and very disrespectful.

So I waited until June 30th then I called then. Remember this guy (Sam Kosukhin) who is the biggest liar is the wold after Steve wright. He said if you read the contract, it might take to 21 business day. I have contacted few legal authorities who stated that 21-days does not apply to my case as the distance from St. Louis to Birmingham is less than 500 miles and should be delivered within less than 7 business days. So if Sam tells you 21 days, tell him “you are liar and this is not true unless if it’s >1000 miles”. I used to call them everyday and emailing them, until Sam sent me this email (see attached picture).

So I sent companies to BBB Kansas who actually communicated with AAA move family. The AAA moving company uses the same lies more and more about 21 days and they are not breaking the contract. They are insisting to show their stupidity and they think the people are stupid or idiot. However, on July 5th they delivered my home furniture (17 days after picking up my furniture).

I will not discuss that most of my stuff have damaged but I didn’t file claims with them because I prefer to stay away from them

    My advises:

1- avoid this company. They are nice until they pick yo your furniture. Then they are rude, disrespectful and not honest.

2- they are broker. They are not real company.

3- if you got screwed and they picked your furniture already, file complaint to BBB Kansas as they are very helpful.

4- file complaint to fmcsa. (It’s good for long term to destroy their career)

5- send them emails everyday and keep that for the record as you will need these emails if you file a lawsuit again the company.

Just remember, stay away from this company. Don’t be fool with the good reviews on google as they paid money for advertising company for that. Also the company employee wrote good reviews about themself (for example Sam Kusukin who is the biggest liar after Steve wright wrote a good review about himself!!) see the attached picture. Go with Yelp and bbb reviews.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me at hassanalkhawam87@gmail.com for any questions about this company.

We had a need for temporary removal and storage of our upstairs furniture and belongings, and AAAFamily did an excellent job. Their crew was professional and friendly. They were also careful with our furniture and floors during the moving process. Would highly recommend!

  7. Poor moving experience.

If you are looking for a good moving company, don't use this one. I checked with the Dept of Transportation but missed checking with the BBB which turned out to be a horrible mistake. Initially, my sales rep, Alex, was responsive, engaging, and professional. Alex made me feel comfortable and gave me the impression that AAA would take care of my furniture. Put down my deposit on April 7th and my furniture was scheduled to be picked up April 18th. The driver picked up my furniture and that is when the issues began. Here are a few of the highlights:

-The driver shared that now that I had paid my 2nd payment, I would not hear from Alex anymore.

-I was also informed that any positive reviews were paid for by AAA and were not from real customers.

-Typically, moving companies ask for a 5 day window to deliver your furniture. The driver told me it would take 7-10 days for me to receive my furniture but it actually took 14 days. No one had mentioned it would take that much time. Had they done so, I would have selected a different company as I was ready to receive my furniture on April 20th, 2 days after my furniture was picked up.

-As the days passed by, I called Alex to get some follow up and he NEVER responded to me again.

-13 days after my furniture was picked up, I received a phone call from a woman by the name of Ann who told me they were ready to deliver my furniture on May 2nd but the truck needed 16 empty parking spaces to park. Ann called my apartment complex and was told a semi would not be allowed to come onto our property so I had 2 options: rent a truck myself to get my furniture from them or pay an additional $645 for a "shuttle" service. Where they would reload my furniture onto a smaller truck and deliver to me. I suggested they park the truck in the back parking lot that belonged to the coffee shop. Ann told me they cannot park on someone else's lot without a signed and notarized letter giving permission. Since we are in the middle of dealing with COVID19 there is no way I would have been able to get that in less than 24 hours. I asked to speak with Ann's boss, to see if I get them to pull on the back lot since I spoke with the manager. Ann told me her boss was out of the office and then he picks up the phone less than 10 seconds after she put me on hold. I was then told the truck was too large to park on the back lot. I felt like my furniture was being held hostage. I agreed to pay the additional $645.

-Sam has been helping me through this process. He authorized the shuttle fee to be reduced to $350.

-Ann called me several times and every time she called, she told me a different total for the balance I owed.

-My furniture was delivered the next day in a Uhaul truck with my mattress holding my furniture in place because the truck was too small.

-The boxes labeled fragile was delivered upside down, boxes were crushed, some of my items damaged. The content of several of my boxes were opened and DUMPED to larger boxes. I found later why some of my items were repacked; as I was pulling my clothes out of the bottom of a box, I realized that all of my clothes were wet. At some point, my boxes must have gotten wet and no one informed me.

Next time I have to move, I will be selecting a moving company from Angie's List.
