Moved from LA to Texas.
I give these guys 5 stars because they are polite, they work hard, and in the end they are true to what they promise. I needed to move my mom from Ponchatoula LA to Cypress TX. It's about a 5 hour drive. Nick was the guy who quoted a fair price and made sure everything went smoothly. His guys Dave, Daniel and his father in law Maurice all were polite and hard working. Maurice tells some funny jokes and keeps the day going. They wrapped all the furniture well and the move went great! The time quoted was a little under what it turned out to be, but my mom had a lot of stuff! Nick was very fair in his price and even offered a few discounts at the end I would use them again and recommend them to others.
Good, but not Excellent.
Nick is definitely the backbone of this moving company. He is respectful, conscientious, and careful with all of our belongings. Nick was communicative, especially during the transport of our belongings from Louisiana to Texas. One thing to know is that Nick hires additional labor to load and unload. The crew we had in Louisiana was careful and great. Abba Movers fell short of an additional star from me because of two reasons: 1) Nick's father in law, Mario, who helped in the move, complained excessively from Louisiana to Texas. When we first called Nick for the move, we invited him to come out and estimate, but he indicated he was able to estimate on the phone, sight unseen. Mario complained about how much stuff we had, and how much he was "loosing money." Yes, we ended up paying for additional out of pocket and then some over the binding estimate. 2) The crew Nick hired on the Texas side was a little hard on the belongings. Although only one lamp ended up broken, the Texas crew banged furniture into door frames. All in all, the move was smooth, but we would have welcomed a little less complaining from Mario.
Best movers I have ever had!
Abba Movers definitely provided the best moving experience I have ever had! They were professional, friendly, on-time, efficient and moved all of my items with the utmost care. I have moved many times over the last two decades and Abba Movers was without a doubt the best moving campnay I have ever encountered. The best decision one could make regarding their next move is to hire Abba Movers. I would give Abba Movers more than 5 stars if I could!
Very Professional and Affordable!!
Abba Movers is a small company based in Baton Rouge. We were relocating within New Orleans so we were pleasantly surprised when we found out that they also have a location in Metairie. We were skeptical to use this company because we had never heard of them before, but were encouraged by the great reviews on Angie's List, Yelp, HomeAdvisor, and several other websites. This was the absolute best money that we have ever spent on a moving service. They showed up on time and moved our entire house in half a day. All of the movers were super-efficient, very careful, and skilled in moving our belongings. Not once did any of the guys complain about anything we asked them to do and we could tell that they really loved their job and were passionate about providing excellent service. At the end of the day, the job was less than what was quoted and over $400 cheaper than the quotes we received from the bigger companies. This move could not have gone any smoother; it was a completely stress-free and enjoyable experience. We have already referred Abba to 2 of our friends and will tell everybody we know about them. And don't let the cheap prices fool you, they are fully licensed, insured, and bonded. Thanks Abba for an outstanding move!!
