  1. Ace has no idea who is in your house.

All movers are subcontractors and free to include whomever they want on the job. My belongings sustained extensive damage. Documents were falsified to pay for crew members that did no show up. Horrible.

  2. Relocation from Elgin, IL to Bloomington, IL.

Ace World wide out of Elgin, IL provided an estimate through phone video and gave an estimate of $5383.00. After loading the truck up they informed me that it was over 3000 lbs. and more that 20 boxes more than estimated and now we had to pay $8414.00. More than $3000 more. I was unbelievable SHOCKED! I had to come up with $3000 more! Then the storage for 2 weeks went up from $500 to over $800 because they then told us we had to pay for the whole month! When we unpacked some boxes the had more packing paper in them then items. REALLY! When I tried to contact the person, Adam Harvey, who gave the estimate he keep on ignoring more calls, then ignoring all my e-mails. I told him ignoring me, would not make me go away. Never hire this company. When you get an estimate it should be more on target. I think they are just scamming people out of their money. All this is complete fact. No exaggerations.

  3. Move from Connecticut to San Diego, CA.

ACE provided an estimate prior to loading the truck in Connecticut and increased the stimate by almost 50% in San Diego because of weight. We were never informed that the estimate will be changed because of weight. ACE stated that we have to pay the extra cost otherwise our households will not be unloaded. Be wise and firm the cost before allowing the truck to be loaded.

In addition the scheduled 9:00 AM unloading did not start until 5:00 PM, the driver that was supposed to be present with the list for inventory did not show up until 9:30 PM and asked that we sign that all items in the list are delivered!

  4. Household move.

During a move from Wisconsin to South Carolina Ace failed to deliver our furniture on time. There was a lengthy delay. They damaged a number of pieces of furniture and would not take responsibility. They lost feet off of a few pieces of furniture. I see why the other reviews were written - I wished I had seen these before deciding to work with Ace. Be smart - stay away from Ace.

  5. Do NOT use this company.

The following are our major concerns with a moving experience that was far more traumatic than necessary. I highly regret our decision to go with this company purely because they could move us on the dates requested.
    1) though all items were shown to the estimator on walk-through, the charges were much greater than 110% of estimate, likely due to packers putting significant amounts of unwanted materials (broken appliances, etc) from stated "safe zones" in the house into boxes and movers doing the same
    2) dates were entered wrong into the computer on multiple occasions, causing last minute changes to the schedule; relocation specialist failed to communicate the time of arrival for the van at destination and origin
    3) packers independently contacted their bosses about certain items they "would not move" which then started third party contracts that were not followed through with due to union restrictions (safe movers) and others that were followed through with though we did not consent (crating a piece of burned corian); resulted in move being complete with a proxy because they had to come back later to collect an item
    4) the packers who were sent were actually van drivers and were extraordinarily unprofessional in how they dealt with the customer and how they dealt with our items, failing to wrap items that needed to be wrapped, calling the stuff they were packing "s**", packing boxes over the weight limit for lifting, packing heavy items on top of light weight or breakable items, failing to pack up items from the garage saying it was the movers responsibility
    5) damage was sustained to both the origin and destination home due to carelessness and laziness of movers (failure to protect flooring, failure to lift objects over obstacles)
    6) van driver went above and beyond to take a few remaining things down that needed to be transported (only good thing)
    7) van driver did not have electronic scanner to verify delivery of all items; therefore a very expensive piece of equipment that was boxed up has been stolen and the moving company refuses to pay the claim for this item
    8) we were never sent a packet with important information about the move and have therefore only serendipitously found out important information about claims and policies, important information is being used against us for the movers to not claim responsibility on claims
    9) movers were unprofessional, asking for owners to buy them lunch, provide them water as well as being haphazard in how they handled items.

  6. Bad experience.

I had forgotten sentimental items in cedar
chest it was stolen. I had delayed delivery
along with lost boxes. Had several employees
one the driver deceive me on the lost boxes
I guess to pacify me saying they were found.
This company denied the theft even after I
filed a police report as directed.Only one person packed the MB. I had to file claims on
    delay and lost boxes.

  7. On-time, Great Service, Great Value.

The sales person was very knowledgeable and friendly.  The service was perfect.  The packing crew was clean, respectful and effective.  They didn't take any longer at packing then they had estimated.  My stuff showed up on time, packed correctly and professinoally and undamaged.  I couldn't be happier with Ace World Wide/Atlas Van Lines.  I've moved 8 times and have used Ace World Wide 5 out of the 8 times and I have come to realize you get what you pay for in the moving industry.  Ace did GREAT.

  8. Unhappy customer.

I was very disappointed with my recent move with your company.  Here are the issues I didn't like.  At time of packing we went over what had to stay, Everything I told them was packed and moved and I had to pay shipping to return.  Deliver time.  Boxes were wet and dirty.  Not put in the right rooms, bed frames mixed up in different rooms, king and queen parts all mixed up.  Our white carpet was extremely dirty, they didn't put down protection.  Garage was full from front to back with boxes that didn't get brought in to the house.  None of the beds were set up.  Head of the move told me the company would come back and pick up empty boxes I just needed to call them.  I did that and it has been a month now and of course I never heard anything back.  Seems to me once you have payment your customer service goes to crap!  When I pay over $2700 for as move I think I should get better service than what iIreceived!  Very Disappointed. .

  9. AZ to WA Move.

1, Loading day took six hours. I know we had a lot of stuff but they really did not appear to be moving with much purpose. 2. Unclear communication in regard to whether or not a separate shuttle (extra $576) would be required at destination. One message from the sales rep, another from the relocation coordinator. 3. At destination: Many screws, pegs to enable reassemble y were missing; it was suggested I go out to Home Depot to get extra screws. While I was out, the movers found some that would suffice and finished the assembly. 4. Bookshelf missing two shelves; pending claim submitted. 5. 10 days from pick-up to delivery. Overall grade: C.

  10. Missed my quote by $1,128.79.

In April of this year, I began looking into job opportunities in the Sacramento, CA area. As part of this process, I interviewed and received quotes from three nation-wide moving companies. The company I decided to use was Ace World Wide in Cudahy, WI. The sales representative I dealt with, John Donovan, gave me the original non-binding quote for $3,506.24. Mr. Donovan revised the quote down to $2,938.24 based on the elimination of five rather large pieces of furniture from the original quote. Only after my household belongings were in transit to California was I informed that Mr. Donovan's quote was severely inaccurate. Ultimately, I paid Ace World Wide $4,067.03 - a difference of $1,128.79. During a phone conversation with Mr. Donovan, I asked him how he could have missed my quote by so much. His reply was simply "I don't know". I highly recommend that anyone considering using a moving company only accept binding quotes. Against my better judgment, I chose this company's non-binding quote based on Mr. Donovan's assurance that his quote would be accurate based on his twenty-six years in the moving business.

  11. Ace world wide screws veteran.

These people are aweful. They were contracted by the Army to pick up our household goods and place them in their storage in Fallsington, PA for 1 year while we were overseas. Upon our return, our goods were either damaged or missing. We had $800 worth of damage. I sent before and after pictures to the person who handles the claims. She assured me that they would send me a check. Month after month past and no check was received to replace what they broke/lost. Then, my calls and emails were not being returned.
When I file a complaint with the BBB the response from ACE was, "We are only responsible for $147 and since the government never paid, we are not paying for any damages."

This is not the way to treat their customers. I would tell everyone to stay away from them.

  12. Ace World Wide movers HORRID.

Ace Worldwide is Awful. The movers/packers were dirty with their language and dirty (unkempt) in appearance. Smoked. Stained my couch and lied that it was not their fault. The van was filthy and old. The person handling reimbursement was unprofessional, Kimmie Loeffler and behaved like a [EDIT]. The mover was simply a liar.
