  1. The best movers ever.

Aaron's affordable movers are the most kind and trustworthy movers. Whilst moving my bedroom I dropped my wallet . The mover saw and immediately handed me my wallet. All my cash and everything was still in it. Iwas completely satisfied with these guys and their rates were fantastic. I highly recommend Aaron's from Orange county.

  2. Brian Oldham dba Affordable Moving and Storage.

I would strongly recommend against Brian Oldham dba Affordable Moving and Storage of Macomb, MI as their service is poor and tactics are dishonorable.

  3. A Nightmare Move -.

This business is located in Nova Scotia.

A little over a week ago, my family and I moved into a new house. I had booked the move with Affordable Moving and Storage and I have to say it was a nightmare. I booked the move almost 2 months in advance, and then confirmed that the movers would be at our old residence on the date and time I had booked. I received confirmation via email.

What happened on the day of our move was a disaster. As we were moving, we had our phone disconnected. Because we have our voicemails emailed to us, I received a voicemail message around 8:05 (the movers were expected at 8am), There was no ID associated with the number and all the voicemail said was "Hello". Not who it was or why they were calling. After about 10 minutes, we decided to call the number back and had to leave a message. The call was returned within 5 minutes. Turns out it was our movers, who, according to the person we spoke to, tells all customers that it is their policy to call clients 15 minutes before the time of their move to confirm that they are still needed. If you don't answer, they send your movers to another house. We were NEVER informed of this policy. But, upon our calling them back - only 15 minutes after they were supposed to arrive, they had canceled our mover!

After some strongly worded discussion by my husband (I was too angry to speak with them), they promised to send more movers to our house. 20 minutes later we get a call that the new truck and movers would be at our house by 9:30am. They showed up at 10:30am. And, it was a much smaller truck and only 2 movers (we had requested a large truck and 3 movers). And to top it off, they tell me when they arrive that they do not take credit cards (only e-transfer or cash). Another policy we were not informed about. Then they actually asked if we wanted them to leave instead of help us move!

In the end, the move took 8 hours and 2 trips back and forth across the bridge including time in rush hour because they showed up 2.5 hours late. And it was only 8 hours because I was at the new house helping them unpack things to make them move faster.

We demanded a discount, and then gave us $10 less per hour. The movers thought that was good, I wasn't happy with that so I had them call their boss. Their boss "was too busy to talk about it"!

This company has zero customer service, zero communication, and if anyone was ever considering using this company to move I would tell them to run away in the opposite direction as fast as they can. Affordable Moving and Storage is a terrible moving company and I would only recommend that you never use them.

  4. Affordable moving and storage @ 3415 La Grande Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95.

This is a business located in Sacramento California---DO NOT HIRE, not even to move a dog house! First DO NOT HIRE this joker, keep away from him.  He is a liar & given a chance or a reason, he WILL lie to you. He lied about the cost, we paid and then he held our property for ransom, demanding additional money before it would be delivered.  He (or his three stooges) went and opened the box containing a $695.00 HDTV for some bizarre reason (he has NEVER responded as to why it was opened); we did our own packing, we totally secured the tv with a blanket and used "corner" protectors (those thick foam corner things) and when I opened the box, the corner things were at the bottom, the wrap used was gone, the blanket was gone and the TV had sustained a massive bit of damage.   To cut this all short because it is a very involved tale of Saxon's deceit & lies..DOT refuses to act on this, he only wants to give me 10cents per-pound (weight of tv) for a freakin' brand new $695.00 HDTV.  The pallet started off weighing 975 pounds, weighed by transporter when picked up and upon delievery weighed 1120 pounds--how in hell did that happen? He also didn't include two boxes and when asked in an email (about both issues) it took him about two weeks to reply.  I never got explanation to weight and he claimed he had to remove the two boxes due to height issues.  If I hadn't numbered the boxes, he would have gotten two boxes, for free, of our stuff, as I am sure he'd never had told us .He has NEVER accepted and admitted responsibility and acts totally arrogant about the whole deal. RUN AWAY from this liar and just know that he is a totally unethical businessman.    .
