  1. No boxes upon arrival.

When the crew showed up to pack and move the apartment from Metairie to Baton Rouge, they had no boxes. Luckily, a neighbor had some. After being told that the check written beyond the deposit was going to be voided and mailed back, I discovered that it was deposited. Until I was aware of that, I made a Walmart to Walmart transfer. I had to take off of work early to retrieve the cash so the bank account wouldn't be overdrawn.

  2. Allstar Movers bad service.

I wrote to the Houston, Texas bbb about my experience with All Star Movers, 8135 Jack Rabbit Road, Houston, Texas. The service agreement was that they would pick up my furniture In Radcliff, KY. on Nov. 17, 2013 and take it to Orlando, FL. by Dec. 20, 2012. I sent them $1,500 to pay towards the total agreement and the insurance of $4,000.00. The delivery date had pass, I called them and they said they were broke down. Ultimately, they didn't come until the 20th of Dec. 2012 at 11:30 p.m. The two men who unloaded my things stayed they had to pick up my things from a storage in West VA.. I paid to have my things come non stop to my address not to be put in storage. When they unloaded my belongings, when I examined my belongings the surunk that I had made in Germany was damage and pieces were missing, dishes were broken and missing, many of my tots had been dumped out and rearranged and missing with clothing and personal items that cannot be replaced, my DVD was missing, along with laptop. The driver ask for $240.00 for packing materials that was not used, he said the $240.00 would be deducted from my total. I sent my claim paper work to Bianka in the claim department at All Star 02/05/2013 no reply, called Bianka daily and left message to return my call, no return calls, I then called Andrew in customer service left a message to return my call no return call. All star movers would not return phone calls. I called the BBB in Houston, TX. to complain about Allstar Movers the BBB sent them a registered letter requesting information on my complain Allstar Movers never responded. This has been a nightmare! If you are planning a move I recommend you do not use this company.

    Service cost: $2,200.

  3. A star movers.

A star movers moved my house belongings from Houston Texas to Bloomington Indiana. I was quoted an extremely low price in comparison to what other movers had quoted me. Lesson is, you get what you pay for. They were supposed to arrive at my house at 8am and walked in at 10:30am. I called at 9am and they told me they had to change a tire. I had to call them, they did not provide the courtesy of providing a phone call. Upon arrival they did not have any extra boxes, tape, or any items other movers had as a back up courtesy. Towards the end of the move they became very impatient saying they needed to leave in order to get our things to Indiana (although they were reminded that they showed up late). They simply replied that we were not completely ready to move. (We had boxes in the kitchen that needed to be taped) As a result, several items where left behind in which I had to throw/give away.

  4. Complaint never resolved.

Several weeks ago I wrote to the bbb about my experience with All Star Movers, 8135 Jack Rabbit Road, Houston, Texas. I told you about the agreement that they would pick up my furniture In Chesapeake, Va, on Dec. 17, 2012 and take it to Hugo, Ok, by Dec. 20, 2012. I sent them $1,000 to pay towards the total agreement of $2,214.97. I turned in my notice at work, and checked my children out of school and packed all my belongings and was ready and waiting. On the 17th, I called them and they said they were broke down. Ultimately, they didn't come until the 20th at 9:30 p.m. The two men who loaded my things stayed on their cell phones the whole time. They threw their trash on my floor and after they finished loading at 11:30 p.m., they came to my vehicle and demanded $240.00 for packing materials. They said it would be deducted from my total. I left for Oklahoma and arrived in 24 hours. I called All Star daily. They finally arrived 3 weeks later! They arrived at 12:30 a.m. And unloaded our belongings in the dark. When we examined it, my new dresser was busted, my other dresser was broken, my totes were dumped out and rearranged. My Dishes were broken and my wii, DVD player, and children's piggy banks were missing. All star movers would not return phone calls. I sent them a registered letter requesting a claim form and they never responded. This has been a nightmare!

  5. Movers.

This started as an average move. I was told I would have my stuff a week after they picked it up. That was over a month ago, and it still has not been delivered. When they were late, they did not call me to tell me they were running late..I had to call and inquire on my own. They said there was a death in one of the drivers family..fair enough. A week later I had to call again and check on my stuff (still had not received a call from them to tell me they were running late.. again). They said my things would be  delivered 2 weeks from that second call because they were going back to the east coast after having gone all the way to Oklahoma. Calling a third time, I was told their transmission broke. Long story short I still have not received my stuff.  This sounded a little fishy so I looked them up on the BBB (definitely should have done this prior to hiring them). They received an F on an A to F scale. They have 55 complaints, several of which are still unresolved.  I hope this helps people make their decisions on hiring movers..do your research prior.
