Horrible Company.
This company sub contracted to Safebound Logistics when my items were damaged and missing America on move washed their hands of this. Took no responsibility but took my money up front. I have contacted BBB and writing reviews, for America on the move, Safebound logistics and CSI Claims.
Horrible company!!
The beginning of August I was contacted by Jake from America on the move to get a quote. We had gone back-and-forth about pricing and finally had a contract put in place. The Friday before the move we had reviewed the inventory and at that time I let him know that I needed a little bit more space as they were more boxes than I had initially thought I would have. We updated the inventory and I paid another $700. When the movers arrived August 25 the movers didn’t have the new paperwork then the foreman informed me that the cubic feet that America on the move estimated was significantly less than what he thought I would need. America on the move estimated me needing 700 cubic feet and the foreman was estimating 1300 ft.³ It wasn’t even close to what America on the move estimated. Mind you what was on the inventory was exactly what was there on the move out day. The error was on the part of America on the move estimating significantly less than what the foreman had said as a result it was going to cost me an additional $2000. I had a binding contract and so I was surprised when they were asking for more money so I called customer service and spoke with Melissa. While I was working on figuring things out with Melissa the movers up and left without even letting me know. She called later that day and offered a different company to move my stuff the following day but because of all of the issues I did not feel comfortable Using this company. I asked for my deposits to be returned to me as services were not rendered and the movers left without even telling me… I never refused their service. I had mentioned that I would be making a yelp review and contacting the Better Business Bureau and she threatened me saying that I better not do anything that would result in me not getting my refund back. Melissa called me back this morning, August 26th, and informed me they would not be giving me my money back. I paid the company approximately $1600 of which they are refusing to give back to me. This company is a scam… I would absolutely never recommend them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This has been nothing but a headache since I started our move. Key points: they guarantee your price won't go up unless you add on items. They doubled our price AFTER they loaded it on the van and forced us to pay it, regardless of a signed contract. They unassembled everything, and once getting to our new place told us "I have no idea who told you we put things back together for you, I'm just a driver I have no tools". They LOST and BROKE 30% of our things including: a king size bed frame, large dresser, coffee table, large wall clock, ottoman, bedside table, desk and much much more. We got zero refund for any of this.
Other things that were frustrating: we put a deposit on credit card, but the rest had to be paid in cash at the time of delivery. No one told us this, so we were forced to come up with thousands of dollars in cash the day they came to get our stuff, which was at 4pm when they originally told us they were coming at noon (most banks close at 4pm, by the way). They had an additional last minute charge of >$600 for "wrapping furniture". Almost everything we paid to wrap had dents/rips/scratches in it anyways (including a rip in our couch, dents in the space heater/fireplace, dents in the coffee table-the parts that weren't completely broken) So what was the point of paying that much?
I cannot say enough bad things about this company. I have so much regret for booking with them, please save yourself the trouble. Wish I could give negative stars.
Awful service.
This company is just a broker for another company. They do not care about your move. The let you know the pick-up day just a day before the pick-up. Any prior adjustment or quotation you made with this company does not mean anything, when you talk to the actual mover. Customer service yells at you, hang up the phone on you when further explanation is requested.
Do not book them for your move. You will taste a hell in this world.
Poor experience would not choose this company.
