  1. SCAM

This company is a scam! The company name registered with the DOT based on the DOT # I was provided is American Patriot Moving LLC; however, they operated under PowerPack Moving and Storage during my contact with them.

The broker PowerPack Moving and Storage failed to show up for my scheduled move. The date was supposed to be 11/9 or 11/10. On 11/10, I called PowerPack Moving and Storage several times to see when they would arrive however they failed to answer any calls. Finally at this point I needed to hire another company as I needed to leave my apartment by 11/10. After I scheduled another mover, PowerPack Moving and Storage called me back and I advised them that I had hired another mover as dispatch had failed to contact me. PowerPack Moving and Storage informed me they would refund my deposit of $596. After I arrived in Florida I contacted PowerPack Moving and Storage to receive a refund on my deposit for services not performed; however, the claim was denied after 2 weeks of the agent telling me the claim was with billing.

In summary, PowerPack Moving and Storage took my deposit, failed to provide the service, and finally failed to return the deposit.

  2. SCAM!!!!!! Do not use

SCAM!!!!!Please, Please DO NOT USE these people they are liars and thieves. They are only out to steel your money and they deliver no services. When I first called them, Jason gave me price, a price that was lower than other peoples, but they told me they gave us a veterans discount and because of COVID. Benjamin also said that they have their own guys and their own trucks, neither are true. He also told me that the truck would go straight to my house, which it does not. He also gave me his direct line so I could contact him with any concerns. That was a number that never went anywhere no answer, no voicemail, nothing. I was told by Jason that I could cancel anytime and get my deposit back. 1 week before the scheduled pick up and get my deposit back. That was not true either. The lady in the office Maya knows off the top of her head, verbatim what lines in the contract are there to screw you and steel your money. (How she sleeps at night I have no idea, but maybe she is just a bad person) The first time I spoke to Jason I gave him a detailed list of what we had. Jason gave me a price of $1,700. 3 days before the pickup, I updated the list, in detail with Josh. I even mentioned the couches being large. Now that everything was packed there was more than I had expected, about double more. The price more than doubled to $3,600 which seemed fair since we doubled what we were taking. Gave Josh another deposit. The day of pick up comes, the movers that where not park of American Patriot showed up and raised the price to $5,986. I called and talked to Maya and she told that they can charge what ever they want. Since the movers were there what else could I do. I was talking to the head guy and I asked how long it would take him to get to our house in Colorado. That is when I was informed that he was not going to Colorado. He explained to me that he would be loading my stuff and taking it to a center where it would be unloaded and stored until a truck was going to our state. Then it would be reloaded and taken where it would be unloaded at another center and stored there until someone was going up closer to our area. Then it would be reloaded and unloaded at my house. He had no idea how long that would take. That is 6 times furniture and breakables were going to be loaded and unloaded. My stuff will be destroyed. I told him never mind I can not possibly take a chance of my stuff being destroyed and/or lost with all that loading and unloading. Now I am out $1,750 and have no movers. American patriot refuses to give me my money back. They did nothing but lie and steel from me. They said none of things at the sales pitch were said to me, but they were because I asked these specific questions. I had written them down so I wouldn’t forget to ask one. Everything about their business model is to deliver no services and keep peoples deposits. Maya is a horrible person. All she does is repeat the “screw you clause” in the contracts. Please I am telling you they do not deliver what you pay for,Everthing is a lie that comes out of their mouths. DO Not USE, and for the love of God do not give them money.

  3. Delivery

My move started out being a nightmare but I want to Thank Nina Cyr for stepping in a saving the day. I waited a month and a half for my furniture dealing with Maya and she stepped in and I received my furniture in two weeks. She was concerned and understood how I was feeling. Thank you Nina for being an over seer. Appreciate you.

  4. Horrible Company

Our move more than doubled even though we shortened our inventory; movers put a hole in the wall at the first house and did not say anything; we were quoted 14 days, but did not receive our stuff for over a month; truck driver drove over our main water line and broke it, and the company did not want to take responsibility for it. In fact, they told us it was our fault for letting the truck on our property; boxes marked “fragile” were smashed and contents broken; broken pieces on our sleep number bed. This is just a few of the issues we have had. I sent my coordinator a 911 text the morning the truck delivered our stuff (Nov 3), today is Nov 18 and I still have NOT received a call from Benjamin with American Patriot Moving. Shameful customer service.

  5. Do Not Recommend.

I gave them 2 jobs one for a full house move 4 bedrooms and another for a pick up at a storage facility with misc furniture for my new home. The first was a complete cluster with it ending my having to call the police after being extorted for more money or I will never see my stuff again. Two movers that finally showed up at 10pm and worked until 9am. The second, pretty simple stuff pick up some items in storage and bring across the country. Guys show up, they didn't read the inventory and didn't want to take all the stuff unless we paid him $2k more - asking my family how much cash do you have on hand. My family called and said they didn't feel comfortable having them take anything and at the pointofthatcall he left saying something in another language and got in truck and left. American Patriot does not screen their movers and as far as I can tell 100% are crooks. When I called I was told I can't get my money back because they showed up. Both companies they used had a HORRIBLE reputation with nothing but bad reviews. The bad thing is you don't know who is coming until the day before. They undersize the jobs and say its the program they use.

  6. Move.

A contract was signed with Am. Patriot Movers to move my studio apt. To be short, I would never use them again. As a broker all they want is the upfront money, they pass off the work then left me to fend for myself. The actual movers were 3 days late on the scheduled pickup, and it took 5 weeks to get a little over 300 ftsq. of belonging moved just under 500 miles. When another broker/mover has your stuff, you have no idea when it will be delivered, they just said you have to call them, not us. The original bid was and estimate, they due to the underestimated sq ft. of material the cost went up. They tell you this after your stuff is loaded and will not move it or unload it unless they get paid. There has to be better options, I will just use a U-hual next time.

  7. My parents move was wonderful.

I called American Patriot to move my parents, and I am so happy with the overall experience. They all were very cordial and professional. The movers were very careful packing, disassembling and moving the furniture. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use again.

  8. I’m very happy.

  9. Phenomenal Move!

The moving coordinator Ben was the first person I made contact with for my move. He was phenomenal. He is patient and extremely professional. I called several times for various reasons and he had an answer or a solution for some of the complications of my move. The move itself was amazing! The crew were very professional taking the time to wrap the furniture and were extremely careful moving the furniture inside the truck. All of my furniture and boxes arrived undamaged and the team did not leave until I was satisfied with the job. It was my first time using a moving company, & I will definitely call them again!

  10. Horrible Company.

They made an easy move terrible by making promises and then not delivering. 2-3 days delivery turned into 8. 8 AM delivery turned into afternoon. Price kept climbing. Don't use this unethical company.

  11. 10 Stars!

Genuinely, it is the best experience I could have ever imagined. To be completely honest, being a single father of two, I was very nervous about calling for moving help when it came to our personal belongings but the staff at American Patriot, beginning with my coordinator, made me feel completely comfortable immediately. The crew that arrived to pick us up were ridiculously fast in getting our furniture wrapped and well secured in the truck in no time. They made sure our furniture made it up safely up the stairs at our new apartment but something I tremendously appreciated was their asking and making sure things were where I preferred them to be. I'm embarrassed to admit but I asked them to move things around a few times to be certain I wanted them in those spots and they were incredibly understanding. This company is no short of fantastic and I feel truly blessed to have found them. Guys.. you have earned 10 STARS from me and I will do anything to make sure I can recommend you to anyone moving to show my appreciation! Thank you soo much!!

  12. Amazing!

Honestly they are an amazing company. Absolutely blown away with the professionalism I was shown. They handled my things with great care. Wrapped my furniture carefully so nothing was damaged, and placed everything perfectly in the spots I asked them to in my new home at delivery. So happy with them. I highly recommend them from direct experience with 2 moves.

  13. Fraud!!

I had high hopes for these guys, I really did. But they managed to dissappoint me even more than my first bad interstate moving experience, and for more almost 30% more money for half the distance too!

Scott Davis the rep talks a smooth talk, makes you feel at ease, like maybe these guys are different from all the other crappy movers out there, but NOPE! He promised set pickup and dropoff dates so I would book the job. Then they subcontracted my move and the guys who were supposed to pick us up were running a day late. Because I made a fuss (we had to leave the apt that day) they subcontracted our move to another last minute company (and didn’t tell us that’s what happened, we pieced it together after the fact).

Those last minute subcontract guys..named “moving-services” (they don’t even have a proper name!) are shady as hell..they charged us a ton of money and refused to have our stuff en route until we paid them and signed forms saying we wouldn’t dispute the charges. The customer service person Tina Brown was extremely rude. Their pickup crew was super slow and dropped a box and sat around and tried to get cash out of us.I was seriously worried about our stuff so the next day I emailed American Patriot, texted Scott, and called them multiple times and no one ever answered me or got back to me. They literally specifically avoided me. And I was trying to ask for help with a mover THEY contracted to us.

The shady mover’s drop off crew lied and said we had another 400-500$ charge we had to pay (the customer service person confirmed our account was all set) and then got to our home and refused to move our stuff up unless we paid. They finally started moving our stuff when my husband told them to just leave our stuff on the lawn and he’d move it himself..they did their f-ing job on the condition my husband helped them! So we paid a ton of money AND my husband also worked as a mover. I was seriously afraid for our safety.

We got our stuff, minus the iMAC and Xbox..as far as I can tell..I suspect the pickup crew. So yeah. I don’t know who needs to hear this, but: DON’T MOVE WITH ANY MOVING COMPANY.

  14. Great last minute move.

For a last minute move, this was great. Got stood up by my original moving company. I called around and American Patriot was the only company that was able to pick me up. The price was higher then the original company but what can you expect when you don’t have any more time, have to be out of the apartment and the company has to scramble to make this move happen last minute. Overall, great! I want to thank the entire staff and pickup team. You guys are life savers!

  15. Never Use This Company.

American Patriot has proven to be an extremely unethical company. Located OUT OF FLORIDA, it seems the company is using licensing credentials from another company under the same name from TN. The never showed up for my move scheduled June 9/10(two day requested window). They attempted to lie & say that they showed up on move date. After proving their dishonesty, I was promised a refund of my deposit amount, $707. I am still waiting for the refund. Very rude, unethical, dishonest people. If you value INTEGRITY, do NOT use this company. People should not be faced with so much foolishness during something as daunting as relocating, especially during a global pandemic.

    #DOBETTER #BeBetterHumanBeings #KarmaIsReal

XavierMaxwell the manager and my horrible, disrespectful move coordinator Benjamin Bentacourt were not very good people at all.
