  1. Don't use these guys

    The opposite of a stress free move. The movers accidentally knocked our sofa into the wall, leaving a (4"x4") hole in the sheetrock wall. It was a mistake they made - not a big deal in and of itself, but the company's response has been atrocious. It cost me $700 to get the hole fixed, so I filed a claim with Ameritex to get refunded and sent them the receipt. They told me it was not covered by their policy and sent me a check for $100 instead. Very disappointing that they would not cover something that was clearly a mistake on their end. Would never use these guys again. If they accidentally knock into your garage or damage your house in any way you will be responsible for the damages! Would think twice if you are going to use them, if you can afford to cover for their mistakes. I had a small move, so the $700 I had to pay to get the wall fixed nearly doubled the price of my move. They could have kept me as a customer by reimbursing me for their mistake, instead they have lost a customer for life.

  2. Showed up 30 hours late

    Stress-free move? More like move-free move! We booked them for Sunday and despite three calls confirming our move date, they didn't show up on Sunday. In the morning, when they were 3 hours late, someone in the office assured us they would be there within the 7 hour window we were given. We woke up early to wait around all day without a call that they were going to be late or cancel. After noon nobody even answered at the office. Nobody ever showed up. On Monday they tried to re-schedule and kept lying to us about when they would be there. Eventually they showed up at 4:15pm Monday, 30 hours late. Movers themselves were good, but the customer service could not have been worse.

  3. The worst experience ever

    This company is anything but “stress move experience”. The crew showed up with a truck way too small and did not speak English. They did not respect our requests to load the truck in a way to protect our itens, and complained about us to their supervisor. Our rugs got to our new house all vender and full of uneven surface, our kitchen items broke, our furniture was severely damaged, and our new house got dents on the walls and baseboards they even damaged our brand new refrigerator that was installed on the same day by another crew. Their supervisor called us due to his crew complaints about us and did not take our side of the story. They did not offer a second trip to pick up the other items that did not fit in the truck that was way too small and not properly loaded to optimize space. They even treated us like their were doing us a favor and were very disrespectful when speaking to us. No refund has ever been offered for all the headaches and damage caused us, regardless of our complaints. Please do yourselves a favor and never hire these guys.

  4. The Title a stress-Free is just Click bait

    This was the most worst and stressful moving company there is. They gave me a window time 8-3 and said don’t worry, we will call you with a shorter window the day before your move. They called me the day before my move was scheduled. They gave me a shorter window 8am-11am. Everything seemed fine until the actual day of the move. The day of the move 10:13am came I was worried, so I called 3 times no answer I called again, They advised me that the arrival time will be 50 minutes. (That was past my window time)

    I really needed to move this day and obviously I could not go with another moving company at the time. 50 minutes passed by. I received a text that said your driver will arrive in 62 minutes (yes this was after the 50 minutes) the actual arrival time was 2:36pm (absolute worst)

    Yes 2:36pm. So now let’s get into the Move: They knocked my thermostat off the wall so hard, it fell downstairs. I asked what happened and they stated they didn’t know, no one knew. They end up dropping my dryer outside in my driveway on the ground from the truck. I ask what happened, they didn’t know. When it happened they looked around to see if anyone was looking. I have ring video and he captured the whole thing. I tried to report it soon as it happened ( of course there was no answer) before they arrived they told me that they do not unplug or plug any appliances. So when the dryer fell They asked if I wanted to have them plug it to see if it work. We are already on a time schedule for them to unwrap the dryer bring it all the way back in the house and plug it up imagine the time. Then I advised them I was told that you didn’t even plug up any appliances. They just looked at me. I told them to put it in the truck I will be making a report to their boss. Now on to the location, I confirmed they had the correct address, they asked did I want to follow them or they follow me. I said I will follow them. I started following them, they were going the wrong way (kept adding time) I had to get in front of them and tell them to follow me instead. Then after unloading everything to the storage, I called their boss again to report the dropped dryer. They said I need to take photos of the damaged ( remind you the washer & dryer was the first thing to be placed in the storage) I said I have the entire video when it was dropped. They wanted pictures. I’m getting my house built I didn’t plan on taking anything out the storage for 6 months. Long story short The moving company name was stress free Movers this has been the worst and stressful move ever, needless to say I will never use them again from my move to the new house they will not be getting my service. The cost was over 1000$. I ordered 3 men and a truck. The completion time was around 11:40 PM. So 2:36 PM till 11:40 PM (9hours) I had something planned this day, since I was told the window was 8-11a. They showed up 3hrs later. All they had to move was to 2 Bedroom sets,1 living room set, washer and dryer, 1 treadmill and boxes.

  5. Many damaged items

    The crew worked hard but broke a leg on the couch, several rips in a leather king headboard, broke the kid's dinosaur lamp, scratched two drawers on the jewelry armoire and broke one of the legs, destroyed our fireplace/entertainment

    center ( had to be trashed-gouged and fell apart beyond repair, chipped the corners on two bedside stands, and several gouges in the two coat racks. Yes we had their insurance but it does not cover any fiberboard parts of furniture with some fiberboard parts. They pay by the pound for the other things. So we got $240. for all the damages. Not enough to replace anything but the lamp with some left over.

    The part about the fiberboard parts is in the tiniest of print that I couldn't read when I signed because I didn't have my glasses. (I am a senior) . The insurance process is difficult -

    they want pictures, receipts, weight and dimensions of all the items, They do not pay replacement value. They will only accept a written letter - no phone calls or emails. Pictures must be clear.Took several weeks. Price was 50% over the estimate and had to be continued the next evening as their truck was too small.

    This company is such a scam when it comes to refunding you for broken items. Their movers ended up breaking my 65 inch curve Samsung tv, and offered me a measely $107 dollar check that I will not be depositing. They have a stamp on the check that says upon cashing the check I'm releasing them of any liability. Well truth of the matter is I'm not releasing them of anything. I'm disappointed I called this company and was assured that they had the equipment to move a tv and they ended up breaking my tv that cost me $1,300 and change in 2017 or 2018. The process to acquire this upsetting check was 2 MONTHS and some weeks. Save you your items for a different company and don't use ameritex they don't refund you correctly.

  7. Most stressful move ever ! Deceptive pricing !

    “Stress free move” this has been the worst most stressful move to date . The move is scheduled for 2-5 pm .they call at 9:30 to say they are on their way . I call the office stressed out cause they can’t come early cause I don’t have the elevator reserved till 2-5 as clearly stated when I made the reservation . Ok so then they agree on 1 pm and I say ok again on the unload part we don’t have the elevator till 2-5. They text that they are coming at 12:30 pm again to early . I tell them they have to wait till 1 . Takes 20 minutes to load and now we are super early and have to wait for the dock off the clock. It’s 2 they get it unloaded and I go to pay of which I already paid a $50 deposit on . They charge me the 2 hour minimum of $250 . Well they refused to apply my $50 deposit and told me that was a trip & truck fee. Total deception calling it a deposit .

    I will never we recommend them or use them ever again. So I paid $300 for 45 minutes of a move . Stay away unless you want to get ripped off.

    Move with Ameritex was worth every penny in addition to fantastic customer service. We wouldn't have asked for more professional and courteous moving team. A truly great moving experience. Will be referring them to everyone we know.

    I recently used ameritex moving and I could not be happier. They were very personable and careful. They came to my house and assessed how much I had to move. In the end they did so much more than expected. Would not use any other moving company.

    After talking to too many none sense moving companies, I finally talked to someone from Ameritex and I could immediately tell that this company is serious and professional.

    After a reasonable quote, we have decided to work together.

    From there, the company sent the documents for me and the landlord, all was clear and set up.

    The day of the move, 2 very nice and pro guys arrived and ready to move my stuff. They were super careful with the breakables, very organized and fast.

    The movers had quite of a drive and moved all back in the new place, rebuild the bed frame and all was smooth and perfect.

    The price and the professionalism of the company is a go-to.

    I highly recommend them.

    Our team, Alex, Ron, Marvin were amazing. They were in constant communication before arriving. They arrived on time got right to work formulating a plan. They had to navigate moving a third floor apartment and first floor apartment, and a storage facility into a home. They were flawless, quick friendly and professional. These guys did what it took to get the job done and never complained or made excuses. They were amazing. Highly recommend.

    Saw reviews on here, used previously another company. Went for something different. Crew was polite and kept me informed of situations as they developed. They were friendly and helpful with last minute re-arrangements. Recommended.

    Experience was wonderful. The movers were quick and efficient and didn't waste any time They were careful to not track in dirt and my final cost ended up being less than my estimate.

    I had a great experience with Ameritex movers, inc. The movers were very thorough and professional and they took extra care to make sure our furniture was moved properly and not damaged. The price was reasonable too. I highly recommend this company.
