Cross Country Move.
I am amazed to find these negative reviews because I had such a good experience with these movers. I had a"small" load, (10X10) move from Chicago to a little mountain town in Colorado. The contents were pieces I inherited from my parents who had recently passed on. It was a stressful time, and being 1000 miles away added to the confusion. KUDOS to Vincent in the office who took every call, gave me complete information and answered my questions! Anywhere movers met my sister at the storage unit and they were thorough and careful with the antiques moving them to storage. The move west was done in the timeframe promised.
Anywhere contracted with East-West movers for the overland trip and the day they arrived was like a party because they were so friendly, professional and just plain fun. There was NO damage (amazed with so many fragile pieces) except a lampshade I had packed myself. Ha!
My five stars are sincere!
Just Run Away!!
JUST RUN AWAY!! For the full story read below, but for the short version. The movers stole my wedding ring, watch and bracelet. The company also does not tell you of all these extra charges until they are there to pick up your stuff. I was charged $880 more then what I was quoted. Some of my Items came broken and the best part is that the managers will not answer your calls and the company offers you no help. I am filing a law suit as we speak. Full Story:I contracted Anywhere Moving and Storage to move me from Chicago to Texas. I was assured by Vincent a salesperson from this company it was a reputable long standing company. We had several conversations back and forth and emails where Vincent said they had been in business for years and that I had nothing to worry about.I was told by the moving company I had to have all my items boxed and ready to go because anything they had to pack or box would cost me more money. In fact they provided me with a binding estimate and daily asked me to update them on the items I was taking to ensure my quote was accurate. I had all my items packed and ready to go with the exception of my wedding dress and some clothes as they said they would provide me free of charge a special wardrobe box to fit my wedding dress and other clothing. The morning of move on Thursday, January 4th, one of the movers Javier called to say he was on his way. I immediately began to check everything to make sure everything was ready to go. There were a few personal items I did not want to go with the movers and I was going to personally take those items in my suitcase.One of which was my jewelry box. I checked my jewelry box which was on the shelf of my bedroom closet to ensure my jewelry was in there, more important that my wedding ring was in there. I wanted to make sure all my jewelry was in there again because I was putting this in my personal suitcase. I did not want that to travel with the movers. As I was looking through my jewelry box I saw everything was in there and then my doorbell rang. I ran down stairs to let the movers in. I left my jewelry box open on the shelf. I invited what I thought was the professional movers by the company in my home. There were three movers, Javier, Cesar and Marco.They were spread out in my home. I gave instruction to all three of what was staying behind and was to be taken. After they left I began to gather my personal items left behind to pack in my suitcase so I could leave. This is when I noticed by diamond wedding ring had been stolen and in its place they put one of my costume rings in my wedding ring box. In addition they stole my silver Kate Spade watch and a Pandora charm from my bracelet. Devastated and horrified I immediately called the moving company, but it was closed. So then I called the police immediately to file a report.I had just checked to see if my ring was there that morning and I confirmed it was. The only people in my home were the movers. The next morning I called the moving company promptly at 9a.m. I spoke to the salesperson I had been dealing with to book my move. He said he would speak to the Manager and call me back immediately. Two and half hours later I called him back because I had not heard anything. The salesperson Vincent said the manager said all he could do was talk to the movers and ask them to return it. I have since called the moving company everyday demanding answers and the manager refuses to speak to me and the company is not providing any help or accepting any responsibility.I have not stopped crying since this has happened. This is my wedding ring it has such a significant meaning for me and my husband. I can't sleep, I can barely eat. I am having anxiety attacks. This company took something so precious from me and does not accept any responsibility. The manager won't even call me. I trusted these men in my home and I was completely violated. In addition my initial binding quote from the company was $2500 then when they came to pick up my items they began to tell me about all of these other charges which moved the price up to $3130. Then when they delivered by items yesterday they said there were more fees another $250. The refused to deliver my items until they were paid. They stole my ring, watch and bracelet charm then threatened to keep my items unless I paid them some more money. Overcharged me , some of my items were broken. This has been an absolute nightmare.
Great Moving Experience.
Moved in a condo and decided to use a moving company and could only say the service and crew were outstanding! We bought the property this year and had to undergo moving again there's was absolutely no hesitation in calling Anywhere moving again. Very reasonable price, they did all of the packing, loading and organizing and helped to place boxes into each room in the new home. Very professional staff and absolutely no damage at destination. I would recommend them and if I ever have to undergo moving again I will definitely use them again. Nice team greatly appreciated.

I used Anywhere Storage and Moving for my move from Chicago To New York City, and a year of storage till I found a big enough apartment. It was delivered with about a third of contents missing and damaged on October 7, 2014, including all the hardware and key structural parts to my bed and shelves, making them useless, and a lot of painfully collected household accesories. Plus, they’d left me someone else’s box of clothes, which, after hours of calling and texting, they finally emailed a UPS label a month later, on November 6th so that I could schedule a pick up. I can only guess that whoever received my things in error probably didn’t wait a month for Anywhere Moving to pick up. The movers attempted to add a surcharge for additional steps to the elevator, but the wheel off the step-measuring device simply broke off in mid-count and they waived it. I spent hours following up with calls between Mike the driver and Vincent the office manager, who really did try their best, and sleazy Joana Perez, but didn’t not receive a satisfactory response from the company. Great movers.
I was recommend by my co-worker to use aw moving. I contact the office and Vince Wayne was my sells staff. He provide me with a moving quote. Then we confirm the moving date and a great professional moving team arrived to my house. They pack all my items and store in their storage. After I miss my goods they deliver it to my new house in Fresno, California in same condition they pick it up. The delivery semi driver was smiley and very helpful. They help me with setting up all the furniture in place. Thank you Ricky, Jose and Mike for packing my stuff very professionally. I will use and recommend Anywhere moving to every one I know.
Bait and Switch.
Cost to move tripled after truck was 2/3's loaded. Could not back out due to moving schedules. All items listed on move sheet were recorded as damaged when loaded, including new furniture. When the truck finally arrived at final destination, everything packed on it was in a broken, jammed slurry. Bikes were forced into a small space under the truck and paint, gears, etc. were damaged. Even the chains were hanging off the gears from being forced into this space. TV packing box had several footprints on it, as did other boxes, indicating that they were using the boxes as step stools. The pack job you see at pickup is the first of many. Your stuff is unloaded, then loaded again to other storage spaces and then onto other trucks and care is NOT taken. ADVICE: Don't use these guys. They are all that is bad in business.

Sales rep did not include full discloser of price at time of agreement. The moving people were good from 1st Class Moving however 1 item was damaged. Poor communication when I called for price clarification with response. I had to be the squeeky wheel. I would not recommend this company. .
Mental stress :-(.
I experienced bad service from that company. Initially they gave quote and took my things. Then later, they increased to 3 times the original price and asked me to pay 80% in order to ship. they were not ontime. they delayed by saying today 3 pm, 6 pm , 10 pm and then next day. Worst part is, they charged more because of their big truck and asked to pay addtionally to bring it in small truck. Totally, I got metal stress by selcting this company for moving and had very bad experience. .
Liars and Rude.
Day of move estimate almost doubled. Manager wouldn't take my call, finally spoke to her next day. Name was Joanna, she threatened to have my stuff pulled off the truck and thrown into storage. Then when my stuff arrived, my sofa was broken and then will only pay $120 for it and wont reimburse the shipping charge. Stay away .. shady business practices, bait and switch and jack up the price and if you complain you will pay with damaged goods.

This moving company is a sham! They will vastly underquote you over the phone to get your business and promise you this and that will be included in the price. But..SUPRISE..come moving day they will vastly overquote you and then KEEP your deposit!! I was so livid with this company I cried! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! THEY ARE LIARS, MANIPULATORS AND STEALERS!!
