  1. Horrible

They left a dump in my new toilet without flushing, damaged most of our walls with careless moving , and broke some valuables, and left a mess . Do NOT give these rats your stuff to move

  2. Nightmare

Nightmare. Packers arrived with one experienced individual and 2 clueless 18 year olds doing summer labour. Items were missed, valuable goods smashed, furniture broken and some items packed things they shouldn't. But it gets worse - Baileys uses 3rd party (MSS) for things like disconnecting fridge/washing machines, moving light fixtures and TV.s This firm failed to turn up both for packing and at destination, charges thousands for minor tasks, didn't have the right tools and had an aggressive poor attitude. Don't go near this hot mess. My experience was the absolute worst.

  3. Bailey's Allied Centennial Colorado Movers

In February 2021 we booked our move needing storage for 3 months. After meeting Norm Ihme we felt comfortable to pay a deposit and scheduled pick in Colorado. The furniture was picked us as promised on March 3 and 4th. On May 13 th, we notified Norm Ihme of the final address and to move on or as close to June 15, our closing date. We signed the paperwork and paid in full. Our contract stated It would be loaded on 6/14 and delivered in 5 days. On 6/16 the driver, nice man, very hardworking, called to say he would deliver on Saturday, June 19th, and," oh by the way" he had not been able to get all of our furnishings. The person assigned to our move, Austin did not call to tell us of the problem and quickly passed us to someone who said they would speak to us every day--that has not happened either. On June 19th driver did deliver, boxes of china, no china cabinet, no beds, no sofa, no chairs, no table --and they describe the books and company china and clothes were "our main shipment" to prevent fines from federal agencies. Since that time Baileys cannot, will not, give us a date the furniture will be picked up and delivered. On Friday, June 9, they said Allied "home office" had given approval for "crating" and sending by a 3rd party. Since this the message 8 days ago, no craters available and no movers available. It has been 6 weeks and if we complain, they say we are being abusive --that they do not want to hear about our missed work or inability to get settled. Either this is the most mismanaged furniture moving company out here or they have lost our furniture. They will not allow us to speak to anyone but "customer service, who are trained to say, "there is nothing we can do" and no, you cannot talk to the owners. They have our furniture and they have our money. We cannot plan travel, we cannot set up our offices. I know it is a busy time, but if they could not deliver, they should have said that at the beginning.

  4. Moved to Utah

I have heard they are a good moving service within Utah, if you are well known or famous. For the rest of us, a disaster. We had so much damage, it’s mind boggling. We also have quite a few items missing. I don’t know if they were stolen/broken or they tried to hide it/didn’t fit in a box they were packing, so they threw it out. Some items missing were valuable and others were parts to things, making sone furniture and other items ruined. They packed their trash & empty tape rolls though for me to throw out. Would NOT recommend this company. Even antique items I specifically told them how to pack were damaged & not wrapped well. Some items that were breakable had no paper at all. Most paintings and framed items were damaged in corners. Worst move ever, and I am sad about family items ruined. I can buy a new couch, but I can’t replace family pieces or pictures passed down.

  5. Long distance move with storage.

I would highly encourage to look elsewhere for movers. We used them to move from UT to NV with several months of storage in between. When we received our furniture in NV NOTHING was protected. 80% of our furniture has been damaged. Some of it to the point that it can't be assembled and others badly damaged. They can't put out beds together as they are missing the hardware. Somehow they even managed to break dumbbells. I have no idea how that happens. We found broken pieces and all sorts of parts laying in the We paid A LOT of money to have PROFESSIONALS and the experience from start to finish has been nothing less than amateur hour. Trying to get a date scheduled for delivery was also a painful process. We would go days without a call back only to find out someone was out sick. We just started unpacking the dishes that we paid to have them back and they don;'t appear to be any better. I'll update this once we see what happens with the claim process.

  6. Excellent Experience.

I have used Bailey's on several occasions, Janel and her crew are easy and accommodating. The crew is careful with my furniture, carpets, hardwood flooring and walls. They take extra care in putting down protection before moving any wheels or furniture on the floors or stairs. They are careful to secure items in the truck and treat my furnishing as if they were their own. I highly recommend Bailey's for your moving needs locally or internationally.

  7. Poor packing.

I worked with Bailey's as a local agent for a long-distance move with Allied. That involved them doing the estimate and packing. They were quick with the estimate and were reasonably priced. Packers arrived early and were done fairly fast. However, packing wasn't as professional as I had expected. Boxes came undone. Tape was barely stuck down. Some boxes were overloaded. There was no bubble wrap. Some boxes were minimally packed. Most boxes bulged. Boxes were piled in doors, over cooling vents, and in hallways, making access difficult. Items were packed that I indicated were not to be packed. Labels were not left for loaders. I was charged the full amount two days before the packers even arrived, not "on delivery" as was indicated it would be. I never heard from the coordinator after the bid except when I contacted him. Nothing on the day of. They acted like everyone knows how to do a long-distance move.
After unpacking, I have found antique books simply thrown into a box, books thrown on top of other miscellaneous items, books bent and damaged, single plastic items wrapped in layers of paper and other breakable items with scarcely any, and broken kitchenware. Do not use these people for packing! It was clear the packers just rushed the job to “get out of here early”.
The drivers/loaders were excellent and should rate 5 stars, although their truck was much too large to effectively fit anywhere. Unloading wasn’t as smooth because of the different crew - caused damage to interior walls. Overall Bailey's as a company could do with much improvement and especially training in packing.

  8. Awful!!

When the movers showed up at my house, I thought this was probably the best thing to ever happen. I was quickly proven wrong. The remainder of the three month process as I moved states was horrendous. I received phone calls about where to deliver a car that wasn’t my own and they shipped my things to the destination state a month earlier than agreed upon. When I was finally ready to move in, I spoke with the coordinator about delivery and when it never arrived on that day I was charged an additional $150 to deliver it on a Saturday because I couldn’t take an additional day off of work. Horrible and unqualified service and much more expensive than quoted.

  9. Terrible service.

Terrible customer service! These guys did not do as they said they would. No accountability at all for the service they claim to provide. I cannot tell you how disappointed I was to have had to deal with them!

  10. My nightmare move.

Let me tell you this will be an experience you will never forget! This company SEEMS very professional but when the job is finished, you get all kinds of surprises! Damaged furniture that they will not repair OR replace, a quote that is just an idea of what it MIGHT cost, not responsible for any problem which you might have.
Let me tell you what happened to me in the Readers Digest version. They moved my furniture which when they left (the same day) I noticed that my mattresses were torn all down one side. It was not like that before. They broke an angels head off of a family heirloom, they broke a leg on my pinball machine.
I contacted Kasey, and told him of the damage and texted him pictures of the damage THAT SAME DAY. At that time, I was told that I had to pay almost $400 more before they could do anything. I told him that he was nuts and I did not agree to pay more than what I already had paid..$900! He said until the entire bill was paid, they could do nothing. I told him that we are at a stand still. I want my items taken care of! Well there it stopped for about a month or so. Then I get a notice that they are going to send my bill to collections. In the end I had to pay and they did nothing!
I am now going to go to the BBB to let them know how this joke of a company runs their business. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

  11. Excellent Move Experience.

Earlier this month I moved from Sandy, Utah to St. George, Utah a distance of approximately 300 miles. Baileys handled the move and I could not have been more pleased with the results. They arrived and delivered on time as scheduled. Mr. Armando Carrillo was the driver and team leader of the move who was very cooperative and helpful. They took extra effort to lay down cover to keep things clean. There was no damage; every aspect of this move was excellent. Thanks, Baileys.

  12. NEVER use Bailey's.

I would have given 0 star if I could for this review. My moving experience with Bailey's is the most horrible one I have ever had. Cindy, who is the associate at Bailey's, worked on my moving case and is rude, irresponsible and a liar.
I moved from the west coast to Salt Lake City last summer. The initial promised time was two weeks. By the day my household should be delivered, I got a call from Cindy and was told that they never found a driver to leave the west coast. Then it happened so many times that Cindy said they found a driver and my household was leaving but it turned out that she was lying every time. I ended up staying in the hotel for 5 weeks, which was extremely frustrating.
Bailey’s did pay my extra hotel staying according to the contract but the coordination by Cindy was the worst. I have been kicked out by the hotel once because Cindy didn’t reserve the hotel properly and I had to switch to another hotel.
I don’t understand why but my household was splited in two trucks and finally arrived a week apart so I know that they moved my household from one truck to another at some time point, which resulted in multiple damages. At the end, the packing of some of my furniture including my mattress which worth about $2400 was broken. When the movers finally, they are not professional. Just like other reviewers mentioned, they asked for water and sat on my expensive sofa during their break, which made me very uncomfortable.

So my advice is NEVER use Bailey’s!!

  13. Bailey's Allied Movers in North Salt Lake.

I have never moved across country before, and I was concerned about finding a reliable company after reading warnings and horror stories online about unscrupulous movers. But when I contacted Bailey's Allied Movers in North Salt Lake, I was reassured and delighted from beginning to end. Jared Jensen, my moving agent, was very professional and knowledgable and drove 180 miles into Wyoming to review my belongings and give me what I thought was a very fair and reasonable estimate.  He was able to give me the exact moving date I preferred.  Allen Bird, the driver, and his crew were extremely careful and responsible with the packing and scheduling.  I was especially concerned about a glass china cabinet which is both heavy and fragile. But they wrapped it carefully in moving quilts, surrounded it in cardboard, and then wrapped it in plastic. It had to go down a set of stairs, up into the truck and clear across country, but it arrived in perfect condition. We had the crew stop in Laramie as well on the way to Virginia to pickup some family antiques in a storage unit there. Maneuvering their huge van, scheduling pick-ups and deliveries for two families in one truck, and managing to get it all to the drop-off cities is a job that requires a lot of different skills. Allen, the driver, was a wonder of organization and driving, too.  The delivery was one day later than he hoped, but it worked out fine for us.  Our family had two drop-off houses twelve miles apart for our load, and Allen accomplished all the complexities with skill and professionalism--and I should add, pleasantness. I felt like he was an old friend by the time we got it all unloaded and had to say good-by. I would recommend Bailey's Allied Movers in North Salt Lake to anyone contemplating a long-distance move. They were the best from start to finish.

  14. Took over 3 weeks to deliver and told us it would be 10 days.

Our biggest problem with Baileys moving/allied van lines was the horrid time line they kept. They didn't ever find someone to pick up our things so it all sat in a warehouse for 16 days waiting to be picked up. We we're told it would be delivered 10 days after we moved. Day after day would go by and we would contact the company and they would keep adding on days. Finally they added on another week and we were just sitting at a friends house with nothing waiting for our things. We started demanding that they pay for things and they were a little stingy about what they would pay for. We had paid a ton of rent for an empty home that we couldn't use because we didn't have any furnishings. The same company did this to another member of our family just a week before. The communication was horrible with this company. We had to do all the calling and they would promise to call back but never did. They would promise to send us forms we needed and never would. We don't know how this company can stay in business while doing such a poor job. If you have any choice at all, choose someone else. Baileys has made our moving experience an absolute nightmare! Completely unacceptable way of doing business.

  15. Thieves who steal your possessions.

We hired Bailey's Moving & Storage at 400 North 700 West in North Salt Lake City, UT. 84054 to move us out of state. While I was out of state the sales rep changed the contract and disregarded what I had setup, to take advantage of my elderly wife. Don't use them if you want to see your precious items again. We were lied to by the sales rep and he told us we had the insurance coverage when he didn't add it. He told us one contracted price and lied about that. The new price was an additional $2,500.00. They stole a queen size four post bed frame, how could you lose something that big? To add further insult to injury the manger and staff ignore our calls for help and resolution. Never use this company for your moving or storing your possessions.
