  1. Do Not Use This Company Ever.

Office will quote you a price and his name is PETER!! When movers show up they will load your stuff and change the price after it’s been loaded. The movers will break stuff and not mention anything. Calling the office and having them answer is impossible. If you want a stressful move call these people. All your troubles begin after these movers have dropped your stuff off and move on to their next victims. Still trying to have their insurance company pay for our damaged 60 inch Tv and few other items I guarantee I will never ever see replaced. Stay away people. Read all the other reviews on google and this site. Don’t stress yourself out. Moving is already stressful.

  2. Awful Company - They should be out of business.

NEVER use this company. They are a big ripoff and damaged or lost almost everything. The packing went well, but what finally made it here looked like it had been thrown off of a truck somewhere. How do you lose a large gun safe for two weeks in Texas and it show up all banged up and the handles missing? How do you loose a king size mattress and box springs?? How do you break a head board in half and take it to the customer?

  3. Please do not hire these liars, scammers and theives.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY – THEY ARE LIARS, SCAMMERS AND CHEATS! I moved from California to Michigan in January 2018. After doing some research online, I got a call from Bob Lewis, who came across as helpful and caring and concerned about my move. He took the time to explain the process to me, went through all of my itemized possessions so he could provide a quote, and most importantly, warned me about hiring a company that used third-party carriers. He insisted that I be careful about this and be sure to only hire a moving company that handled your belongings from door to door. I was grateful for his help, but ultimately wound up going with a different company that provided a lower quote. That company, Trans-United Movers, turned out to be a total nightmare (for full disclosure, I’m reporting them, as well). They, too had warned me about companies who used third-party brokers, so imagine my surprise when Trans-United did just this. Imagine my bigger surprise when they turned out to be B&B Transportation Services!

After realizing that I had been lied to by both companies, it was too late. I had already provided two initial deposits to Trans-United. When the movers from B&B showed up, I had already left town, but had a friend there to meet them. The movers asked her to sign the inventory sheets BEFORE they had even been filled in. She refused, of course. They then said that I had to give them a check for $2,109, which meant that it, combined with what I had already paid for the initial deposit, ALREADY exceeded the TOTAL estimate I had been quoted by Trans-United. Plus, they told me that I’d had to give the movers $1,403, in cash, when they arrived with my stuff in MI. This means that I was being charged $1,626 over the original quoted price. Unfortunately, when a moving company has all of your belongings in their possession, they can steal from you in this manner, if you ever want to see your things again.

I immediately followed up with my contact at Trans-United, who vanished into thin air as soon as my checks were deposited. I then tried Bob Lewis many times. He kept saying he’d help me figure out why there was such a huge cost discrepancy, but never did. I’d call his number, random people would answer and promise to help, I’d never hear back, and then I’d talk to someone else, who would say the last person I spoke to wasn’t able to help but that they could, and then . . . nothing. I went around in circles for days until a woman there put me in touch with Carolina in Customer Service.

After weeks of what had already been a total nightmare, a new nightmare began. Carolina told me that the reason the price was so much higher than my original quote was because the quote was based on me having 73 items/boxes, but that when the movers got there, there were actually 170. I explained to her – multiple times! – that this was absolutely, unequivocally impossible. I had a small one-bedroom condo, I had already gotten rid of a lot of my stuff, shipped some of it, etc., and it was completely unrealistic that the amount of stuff I had was 1 ½ times what we originally thought, and that the number of pieces of furniture was so much higher than that for which I had been quoted. To go from saying 73 to 170 – it boggles the mind that someone would think this would even be a remotely feasible explanation. Seriously, it stretches the limits of incredulity.

Based on all of the lies that I had already dealt with between this company and Trans-United, I knew I was being ripped off and lied to again. I asked Carolina to email me the documents, since all I had received were unclear photos sent via text the night of my move. She kept saying she sent them. I never got them. I had to ask her about SIX times to email them, and she always claimed she had. I had even provided an alternate email address. Eventually, she told me to “check my spam” and that I “must be having problems with my server.” Never once did SHE call ME to find out if the documents arrived. She never offered an alternative, like to fax or FedEx them. She never said she was sorry for what I was dealing with, and that she’d try to figure out the problem and how she could help. She also gave me some completely contradictory information on the status of my stuff. She once said it was sitting in their warehouse in CA, but the driver said it was a day away from MI. One time, she said she was going to put me on hold and contact the driver . . . but then I heard her talking to a co-worker about the turkey and mayo sandwich she had for lunch. When I realized I was clearly NOT on hold and had been lied to again, I said “Hello?” to get her attention and she said “You have to be patient ma’am!” It was so rude. She was the worst, and everything she did and said reinforced my belief that she knew her company was stealing my money and not doing a thing about it.

I eventually received my items in MI. There were missing and damaged items/furniture, but only 83 items were delivered. Not the 170 that Carolina kept insisting they picked up in CA, thereby increasing my cost by $1,626. I either want my money back, or would love for these mysterious 97 “extra” boxes and pieces of furniture to reappear. Since there’s absolutely no chance of the latter happening - because they NEVER EXISTED IN THE FIRST PLACE - B&B owes me $1,626.

I sent many follow up emails to Bob Lewis and cc:d Carolina and never heard back. After the third one, I got a response from Carolina providing an email address where I could log my claim for my damaged and missing items from my move. That was the last I’ve heard from anyone at B&B. Between these two companies, I was scammed out of $1,626 and haven’t heard a thing from either of them to try to make this right. They know they’re ripping people off and stealing from them during what is an already-stressful experience. The amount of frustration, anger and stress on my end was unbearable, and to be treated so callously is unacceptable. I had recently been diagnosed with MS, and I have no doubt that the stress, fatigue and emotional toll that this took over the course of nearly two months exacerbated my symptoms. This certainly doesn't make my experience any worse than that of anyone else who has written to complain - these are just vile people with no morals whatsoever, who have set the bar of human decency about as low as it could possibly go. Please, DO NOT use this company. Avoid them at all costs.

I reported them to the BBB, and have yet to receive a response. Based on the stats that BBB provides, they very rarely follow up. I do try to feel sympathy for people who are so incompetent, uneducated and worthless that they can literally contribute nothing to society except their dishonesty and thievery. However, that isn't an excuse for illegal, arrogant, condescending, dishonest treatment of innocent people who simply want to move in a hopefully stress-free way. I have no problem taking this as far as the Attorney General, or even filing a lawsuit if this company, and Trans United, do not respond with an appropriate resolution. Honestly, it's not just about the money they scammed; I don't know how they're allowed to be in business at all. DO NOT USE THEM!!

  4. Liars.

If I could give zero stars I would! Items picked up and packed professionally in Visalia CA to be moved to Warner Robins GA. Told I could store free for 30 days. Called to arrange for delivery. You can’t make ANY arrangements! They call you 12-24 hours before they’ll deliver it. I travel for work. They don’t care. Was told items would be put back together. Nope. Worst moving company ever! DoNotUse.

  5. If I can give no star I would! Be ware of their BAIT & SWITCH tactics!

If I can give no star I would! Beware of their BAIT & SWITCH tactics! They will quote you a really low awesome price $1700 and then when you talk to them over the phone they will ask for a complete inventory. They will then double the quote price $3200! After that they will show up at your place and then start taking everything out of your place. Now while most of your things are already sitting on your driveway they will tell you that you will now have to pay $5000 to $7000 when they deliver to the destination location and when you refuse they will leave everything outside. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL & Scrupulous PEOPLE!

  6. Run don't walk!

Stay away from this company. I was quoted a price with an estimated pick up and delivery date. I have a 774sq sq ft apartment. No appliances were being shipped. Bed with 2 nightstands (no dresser), and front room furniture was mostly ladder furniture. The loveseat and two chairs were standard wood frame no recliner, no sofa bed and a round dinning table with 4 chairs. I was quoted $1,300 to move these items from LA to Vegas. On the day of moving about 8 guys show up between 6am-7am. After loading everything on the truck, they lie and tell me I have 7,000 lbs of furniture and the new cost is going to be $4,200. I called the company at least 20 times that morning but no answer, with 8 men outside my door and all my property hostage on their truck I was forced to pay the additional amount. On top of that, instead of delivering on the scheduled date, they arrived at my new place the next morning intoxicated to deliver my things, and again tried to charge extra. When I was able to get a hold of Adam Hanley, the person who booked the reservation, I was told he would look into it and after it was crickets and he is no longer responding. I'm still in the process of getting my money back. This company has been a nightmare and they essentially extorted additional money with all my property hostage. I wound up paying nearly $3,000 over the quote for a one bedroom move from LA to Vegas. DO NOT USE THEM!

  7. Re-think the industry.

This company is representative of the whole of the moving industry. They bank on the stressful moving decisions to make money.

First the representative I spoke with(Peter) setup the booking and requested an "inventory". He knows what he is doing and therefore knew I would underestimate my possessions. He gave no information on how to make an appropriate estimate. THIS IS THE LIE! You do NOT know how to make an estimate on your possessions and it will cost you a lot. The 1 star reviews are accurate. I made the reservation and of course the weight came out higher.

Furthermore the moving company is very disorganized. The loading crew supervisor told me it was a dedicated load. That means the truck it goes on is the truck it is delivered with. This was a lie. My stuff was sold to at least one other moving company before arriving to me.

These movers do not care to know the most basic tips of proper moving. One of those being the proper towing of motorcycles. They tied mine down too tight and blew a fork seal. Really basic stuff if you are a professional handler.

Let me sum up with this. I know moving sucks. After all the lies a Pod will be cheaper. Two pods would have been cheaper. Get with companies like them and save yourself the cost and headache. If you are going to go with a moving company then do a lot more research than I did. Call/research 20-30 companies and do not put your phone number out there on broker sites. You will get every jackass company with a truck or two calling you. As consumers start putting your money into companies like Pods. Hire a packing crew locally if you need to but get it shipped with a pod style service.

  8. Across country move.

Poor communication. Does not follow through when they say they will call. They do not meet deadlines as promised. They arrive when they want to, not the 2 he time slot as promised. Apparently there drivers do not know how to read maps! Very rude and inconsiderate.

  9. Thank you B and B.

I must say that I really enjoyed my experience with B and B. The quote was fair, the guys were nice and everything arrived on time. I feel like I got the service I expected. Not more not less and when it comes to moving that's all I can ask for. I moved from Los Angeles to Atlanta.

  10. Worst company.

This was worst transport company to deal with. They quoted me less and last moment they increase the price. That's also ok but when they reach here they lost my 2 boxes and mattress. And they didn't refund me also.

  11. Horrible experience.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. I contracted for a four man team n two men showed up with a truck half loaded with someone else's things. The one mover was a guy who never moved before who cried and whined about his wife who was a drug addict who kicked him out. The second guy showed up in flip flops with a hernia. I had to purchase a hand truck from the Home Depot CB the men refused to move my furniture without one and their truck did not have one on it.
The men took two days to move my things in a hour radio us bcc it took them at least 35 min to move each item. They took several cigarette breaks in between. I was assured by the sales associate who I scheduled the move with that they would have a ladder on the truck to access a crawl space above the garage n they did not so I had to borrow one from my neighbor. They charged me per piece and did not move all the items that were contracted to move, however, no adjustments were made to our bill.
I had to call the company several times throughout the move to complain and at one point they threaten to terminate the move. The movers broke my grandmothers China, which has been in our family for generations, our new headboard..snapped the leg right off, our adjustable bed, our $4500 leather sofa, another sofa leg and they never even wrapped our furniture. The worst part is that we had to move many pieces ourselves..if we wanted to do that why would we hire movers in the first place?? Do yourself a favor and avoid a major headache, hire any moving company besides this one.

  12. Worst Type of Moving Company Out There.

I wish I could rate this company negatively because I would. Before making a move across the country, I first worked with Alan Douglas (moving coordinator) because he would not stop sending follow up emails, so I figured they were reliable. I REGRET NOT LOOKING UP ANY OF B&B TRANSPORTATION’S REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING THEM.

Alan told me that it would take 7-10 business days for my boxes to arrive. After I agreed to work with B&B, I stopped hearing from Alan. I left voicemails and send emails to Alan, but he never returned any calls or emails. I still have not heard from him.

I’m FURIOUS with how the company’s employees were trained. The customer service representatives LIED TO ME EVERYDAY when I had called them (3 straight weeks, Monday - Friday); they told me that my boxes were being picked up from the warehouse “tomorrow” more than a dozen times. IF THEY WOULD HAVE TOLD ME THE TRUTH FROM THE BEGINNING, I would not have been so upset.

Finally, after 27 business days… my boxes get delivered to my house (all smushed up and bent out of shape). I have CLEARLY LABLED my boxes “fragile!” with a sharpie on bright pink scotch tape used to tape the box shut (not to mention I wrote all over the box, “fragile!” “very fragile!”. The first box I open has broken glass and a broken durable vase. I am not going to try to fight this company and get my money back - I just want everyone to know my experience with this company, so they can avoid broken items and an outrageously delayed ETA.

IF this is how my things were going to be treated and was going to take this long, B&B needs to tell their customers AHEAD OF TIME, so I can clearly choose another company. THIS COMPANY DOES NOTHING BUT LIE AND DECEIVE THEIR CUSTOMERS.

  13. Stay away.

This was a complete disaster. Everything everyone experienced I had as well. The company scammed us for another $400 ( prior to the $4o discount ad my stuff was not received timely ) after trying for $850. The pick up team said the $400 was for a permit to drive to Missouri. The fee did not exist and the paperwork says all fuel surcharges taxes tolls and mileage included in original price of $1297.00. I talked with Missouri state and they advised this was not true re permit and what they were likely collecting was fuel surcharge / tax for interstate but when I read the co re g to him he said the line that states this is included and to see if company had IFTA. When I called their office they said yes they believe the trucks had IFTA tag so this was a bogus fee and they said they would call back after calling the state of MO. Never happened. Total joke damaged collectibles because the placed a box of weights on them, missing antique dishes ( not on replacements limited so I can't even replace them) and missing other things like wine, kitchen items and new Pyrex glass food storage used twice). Fake emails no reply phone calls -all lies. Many of my items were reboxed and I am making a police report because some reboxed items protected info and I can't get anyone to tell me what happened when my stuff sat in a warehouse for 20 plus days before it was loaded. Don't let Bob or anyone else at the booking end convince you the bad reviews are disgruntled employees. I am a real victim who has not now nor will ever work for a place such as this. I am filing a claim with the Federal DOT and making a complaint to the CA Attorney General as well. Through my course of questioning I found out the federal government is cracking down on these types of household item hijackers. Do not use them.

  14. Con artist.

Complete hustlers and swindlers. Over charge, lie, takes forever to arrive, break your item and pretend they didn't. They don't deliver, they sub contract it to a company who suck. Try to find ways to charge you more money anyway they can. Their protection plan is a joke who won't cover the value of your stuff and pay pennies on the dollar. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, no matter how desperate to may be. You are better off paying trusting local drug addicts instead.

  15. Horrible.

We called and got a fair quote, moving from ca to ok. Talked to Bob who was friendly and talkative. When I gave the almost $600 deposit they gave me a date. Alright, the next day it was 2 days later.. Okay and then the estamated time was 8-930 am okay, wake up early and noone until 1130 am. The main guy was on his phone arguing with his girlfriend for the longest time while our stuff was being hauled out of the house. We told the movers what to take and they missed a few boxes, because it was an over the phone quote the guy tells us it will be $1000 more, but because they were going by weight we knew it should be less than the over the phone quote we decided not to take our bed or table. We had a change in plans so we didn't have an adresa yet but were told they can hold our stuff for a month no extra charge. We called after 2 weeks almoat a week before the first to give our address, apparently the receptionist never documented this and when we called a week later she told us we never called and yet in the same call she said she didn't have a truck yet and that's why she didn't call us yet to set up a time. So, another week passes we bought our kids new beds and bedding, fans and kitchen items so tonight I get a phone call saying the mover will be here tomorrow and we need to have 790 cash in hand so I call the company and leave a message. Avout 9 pm I get a call from someone that said if we don't have the money they will auction our stuff to get there money. Im pregnant and am stressed becauae he threatened us twice over the phone when we were asking if they can hold onto it until we get paid, I just have a credit card. Whew, do not use this company he made the threat after we asked to re weigh the load because it shouldn't have been as much.
