DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY -- I had a deplorable experience with BellHop. They are using the old bait and switch… estimate 4hrs at an attractive price, use an inexperienced team thereby doubling the time and cost at the risk of your pockets and your belongings.
I used the company on October 16th 2021 to move 45 seconds away (literally) from one apartment building in the same complex to another. I was quoted 3 – 4 hrs based on the furniture and belongings. It took the team, 4 hours to load up the truck from the first location. What should have been a 3 maybe 4 hour move, turned into an 8 hour move resulting in thousands of dollars worth of damage: a broken 55” TV, broken bed frame, broken fireplace TV stand, severely damaged bedroom suit, damaged dining room table, scratched and deeply chipped bookcase, broken lamp. Additionally, the items that had to be disassembled and reassembled at the new location were not reassembled correctly… HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Long distance move
If I could give a zero I would. This was absolutely the worst experience ever. They sent a team of inexperienced children who didn't even come prepared to disassemble furniture, didn't use dolly or safety gear, didn't wear masks, were just there to run the clock and scam us. You better take two trucks even if you don't need it or your stuff will be left because they don't do their jobs and the company won't take responsibility for it. They didn't wrap or protect any of our brand new furniture and damaged all of it. They will not give you what the damages are worth and will not negotiate even though they break the contract and will just send you to collections. No customer service, just a scam company run by kids who could care less about you or your belongings. Too many complaints with BBB, don't use this company!

If I could give zero stars I would. I will never use or recommend this company. If you're needing movers. Here is the name and num of A+ company Freeman Sevices 214.428.5620. Was unable to schedule with them on the date needed to be moved so i screwed myself and went with ?
I wouldn't recommend bellhops to anyone
I wouldn't recommend bellhops to any friends or neighbors. We had the worst experience. Our movers were late, one of them didn't wear a mask, and they were painstakingly slow. I was told that bellhops was a white glove experience, it was quite the opposite. One of the movers left halfway into the job because he borrowed his mom's car to get to the job and she needed it back. That left one mover to move everything for about three hours. I called the company for them to send someone else, they sent him, and then he left 30 minutes later. He eventually came back and the two of them finished the move. EIGHT HOURS and $1,400 for a one bedroom apartment. Did I mention that I moved less than one mile away? Truly ridiculous. They also broke the elevator. In the end, customer service refunded SOME of my money, but I will never get the time wasted or the anxiety back. If you're looking for movers, please, look elsewhere.
Terrible.
Do not use this service. They damage my chest. They did not have the tools to breakdown my items. I had to leave, and had to have someone else come out. Overall, this was a terrible moving experience for the money that was spent. I was given a five percent discount for $300 dollars in damages and additional cost because of their lack. Do not, I repeat do not use their service.
Do Not Use For Your Own Safety.
Please ensure you fully read the terms of service for bellhops when considering booking with them and take this sentence very seriously- "You further acknowledge that you may be exposed to situations involving Third Party Providers that are potentially unsafe, offensive, harmful to minors, or otherwise objectionable, and that the use of Third Party Providers arranged by Bellhops is at your own risk and judgment."
I was quoted for a dedicated truck for my move from Chicago to New Jersey in Mid April during the height of the pandemic. When the driver showed up at my new place he had 2 double pallets worth of freight in the box truck that he could not remove. Not only was I disrespected for nearly 2 hours by this driver, he requested that my unloaders lift my stuff over their head and walk over pallets to unload, proceeded to tether his pallets to a railing on my loading dock and drive forward, had to then take the freight to New York City to drop off in order to be able to unload my stuff, leaving me to wonder for hours if he was going to steal my stuff or expose it to the virus, and then returned at 9pm to have 3 men in and out of my apartment at late at night because of all of it. In addition my bar cart, coffee table, and bed frame were damaged to the point that they could no longer be used.
The third parties that bell hops use to complete their moves do not have any regard for ensuring your stuff is not damaged, your safety, or any one who may be helping you's safety.
Horrible Company.
11/15/2019 They broke my king size headboard in half. Admitted it. Sat headboard on sloped driveway and stood around chit chatting while it fell over. It should have been wrapped and secured. Filed claim. They offered $60 for repair. It's an antique bed worth over $2000. Truck showed up 30 minutes after movers. Truck lift broke. Had to wait on 2nd truck. They won't return my calls. Poor standards. Do not use.
12/19/2019 This just gets better. They now offer $150 for the repair that costs $215 and gave me until December 23, 2019 to either take the deal or walk away. It costs $65 for me to file civil claims suit.
12/19/2019 I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau. They would rather be trashed thru social media and go to small claims court over $65 difference. Shows you what kind of integrity these people have, or lack thereof.
Don't use.
These guys are crooks, they left half my stuff, and wouldn't refund any money. I had to hire a second company to go back and finish the job.
Ripped off.
Inflated my bid to almost double.
Damaged my house and furniture.
Senior disabled vet.

2 broken TVs with ZERO compensation.
The 2 men moving my TVs broke them, bellhops refuses to cover them and charged me 430 to move a bed 2 tvs and a console. Everything got broken due to the lack of care. It is documented by management the 2 men were fighting prior to and during my move.
