  1. Really helped me in a pinch.

I contacted big boy last minute and they were able to help me move everything from my 1 bedroom apartment fast and efficiently. The staff was so helpful. I believe it was Shelby in the office who set my move up, and fit me in on the day I needed to move. The moving staff was kind and fast! Will use again.

  2. Piano and Pinball Machine.

They helped me move some very difficult items into difficult areas. Had no idea how I was going to be able to do it and they came in and made the whole process easy while taking great care of stuff that was important to me. Would use again in a heartbeat.

  3. Just say NO, unless you want all your furniture damaged!

Big Boy Movers based in Utah, but specifically the Vancouver, WA branch), was HORRIBLE, completely unprofessional, and very unresponsive. No equipment was given to the two people who were helping unload (no dollies (apparently that is an extra fee..), no back braces, no moving straps for heavy furniture.

The people who showed up looked like college kids that were just doing this for a summer job, and for one of them it was his first day/first job, so he wasn't trained nor did he know what he was really doing. The other person seemed to have some experience, but again, was not a professional mover at all! When they arrived, I seriously thought it was a joke. Like you two, are going to move my heavy stuff, without a dolly, moving straps, OR back braces?

It's been a series of unprofessional managers getting angry with me over the phone, for even suggesting that they provide their workers with a dolly for moving, as I guess moving staffers told the movers (if you can call them that) they wouldn't need one (I had 2 pods to unload..into an apartment.. so i'm not quite sure how it was communicated a dolly was not needed). On top of that, I was told (rudely) a dolly was an extra charge..

I've never heard such nonsense before in my life with a moving company.

I've had my dresser moved 4 times prior and it has always stayed protected until it was put into my bedroom in the apartment, and I've never had a problem.

Since they didn't have any assistance, AND after my recommendation of having them contact the company (Big Boy Movers) to provide extra staff to help them move it, since I knew these two people could not, they decided to move it anyway, and took all of my clothes out of the drawers to make it lighter. My clothes were basically put in garbage bags, and set on my floor, no organization what-so-ever. ALSO, they took all of the furniture padding and shrink wrap OFF before moving it, BUT kept the drawers in the dresser, which end up flying out and getting bumped against the concrete walls, and ground!

Again, I've had this dresser moved 4 times prior to this move, and NEVER have I ever had to take the clothes out of the drawers, or have the dresser unwrapped of it's protection before it has been placed in my apartment.

If you are using a company (e.g. UPACK) and need movers, do your research on your own, and hire a company on your own. Do NOT rely on Moving Staffers to provide decent moving companies for your move, or even think they would care if anything gets damaged.. that's how I ended up with multiple pieces of damaged furniture, and a lot more stress than ever needing during a move!

  4. Frivolous Charges Damaged Property.

We hired Big Boy Movers and had the female owner of the company come bid. We hired them. They showed up and said they couldn't get everything done by 6pm. We called to complain. They resolved. They bid us at $1100 for the move when we got charged it was for $1800. They never got the charges authorized by us. They resolved. We got a report from the owner of the home there was damages done by the movers. We contacted them to file a claim. They sent us a bill for $3800 stating these are our new charges. They retaliated. We went to BBB and filed a complaint. They salandared us and started they won't communicate with us. Problem NOT resolved! Their system shows an approved bill if you open it, even if you dispute it automatically shows you approved it just by reviewing it. They wont honor the original estimate, they over charge, they put charges on your credit card you didn't authorize, they left many of our belongings behind. When they are held accountable they will dispute or ignore your attempts at a resolution. Customers beware! The worst part is when they damage your property they will not make it right! They will force your hand into court proceedings..

  5. Over $5000 worth of damage.

Very careless movers. I found out after they loaded my items into a ABF trailer that they took 8 hours to do. On a 3 bedroom plus a den manufactured home. That one mover was experienced and the other two was not. They were new workers. They used the whole trailer to load my items. When it got to my location. Alot of my items were damaged. I had alot of Rosewood furniture that was damaged. One of the arms of the sofa was broken off. A large round at piece that I had from Venezuela that is a one an only was cracked across the top. And the strange thing about all of this. My wife and daughters had alot of these items wrapped with plastic wrap and blankets. In the last 10 years we have moved 4 times and used movers and never had any issues. So I told the company about this issues. This is what they told me. Well were sorry. But all we can do is pay you $150.00. The glass on one of my pictures that is broken is more then that. I have head board damage, rosewood end tables damage, teakwood desk top damage, numerous other items damaged. And they want to give me $150.00. Give me a break. This is a disgrace. People please DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY OUT OF VANCOUVER WASHINGTON. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT DAMAGE YOU'LL HAVE.

  6. The best.

I used this Company to unload my ABF trailer that was load by the same name company that is not affiliated at all. I talked to a gentleman by the name of Brendt and set everything up with him. He is branched out of Boise Idaho. We had to make about three changes regarding unloading time. It was no problem for them. They showed up on time and very professional. Three young gentlemen. They came in and asked me where things were going to go. I explained where. And they got to work. In a matter of 4 hours. They unloaded my trailer and put things where they were to be. Without issues. During them unloading I made sure they had alot of ice water because it was a little hot. And at the end. My wife and I made sure we gave them some money for there hard work. I would recommend this company to any one who would need a mover. They are very dependable and professional.

  7. Very Unreliable.

They sent me an estimate which I approved 9 days before my move. After a few days of playing phone tag, I left a message confirming my approval of the estimate. Three days before my move, I finally was able to reach a live person who informed me that they had booked the time I thought I had reserved.

Fortunately, I used social media to find good help at a better price.

  8. Simply the Best!!

Simply the Best!!         My company transferred me to our office in St. Louis so we hired movers to help us move things to a storage unit and were not impressed so we hired someone else to help us move the items from the storage unit on to the rental truck, even worse.  When we got to St. Louis we hired movers to help us unload the truck into our house, still not impressed.  I lived in St. Louis for a couple of months while my husband looked for a job so we had to do this all over again when he was ready to move his things, the garage and shed so all of the really heavy items. This time we hired Big Boy Movers and they were fantastic!  Even my husband who does not get excited about much was truly impressed.       They arrived early, they were polite, they were professional and they were not afraid of hard work, and work hard they did!  They followed direction when necessary and gave suggestions when necessary, they know how to load a truck and not waste an inch.  My husband was so impressed that he gave each of the workers a tip and he is not a tipper but he knew that they had earned it.       Hire these guys you will be very happy you did!!  .

  9. Stay away from these movers.

Moving staffers.com recommend big boy movers in utah,  my stuff was thrown in  the truck, everything was damaged !! I had broken chairs, a 2000.00 bed room suit ruined. I went to afb terminal to see my load and it was the worst they have ever seen !! I am going after them for damages.   I highly recommend not to use these people !!
