  1. Service.

    Terrible service. Misrepresented abilities and made promises they could not keep. I had to help unload heavy items as only one small man showed up to unload. I will never recommend or hire this company again.

    They were on time. Very pleasant and were very efficient and loaded truck in record time. Price was great. Would definently recommend them for your move.

    Central Maine Moving and Storage moved our offices. They were fast, friendly, and very efficient. It was an absolute pleasure and all of our stuff was very well cared for. The movers were friendly and professional. I would use them again.

  4. Central Maine Moving and Storage - Worst Moving Experience We Ever Had.

    We contracted this company for a local move taking place in November, 2016.
    The driver was miserable to deal with. He got the truck stuck in a ditch. Meanwhile the crew was standing around wasting valuable time.
    This driver lied to us about broken items. They broke the ears off a hand carved bear and would not admit to it, until everything else was off the truck and we are tired.
    Also, he put a cabinet with glass in the belly of the truck, where they generally store their tools. They broke it, and tried to tell us it was delivered. Next day, when I noticed it missing, I called the company, and was told that the item and 2 other items were still on the truck and would be delivered within 10 days. On November 26th, the driver, Matt, called and I asked him about that cabinet. He coldly replied, IT BROKE APART AND WE THREW IT AWAY. I was angry. Then he hung up on me, and came by and threw the other 2 items on the driveway and drove away. We had to collect those items ourselves. When he called me, that day, I asked him why did you lie to me, why did you throw the cabinet away, why did you hang up on me and why did you throw my 2 other items on the lawn.
    He replied, YOU SHOULD CHECK YOURSELF INTO A MENTAL HOSPITAL. YOU ARE CRAZY!
    This is fine way to treat a customer who paid almost $5,000 for a move!
    I complained to the the General Manager, Mike Morin and to the owner, Ray Lynch. Both men were miserable to deal with and had no sympathy whatsoever.
    I had to file a claim, which they sent to the insurance company.
    We lost $500 of the claim amount due to the deductible. The owner, Ray Lynch and Mike Morin failed to return any further phone calls.

    In addition to all this, during the move itself, the crew urinating in our bushes, and stole items from our refrigerator.
    We should have checked them out before hiring them. I suggest to anyone reading this, that they should check out any moving company they hire.

    I don't want what happened to us to happen to anyone else out there. This is why I am writing up this truthful review.

  5. Moving from Bangor to Kittery Maine.

    Company gave a good estimate, came on time, worked quickly, politely, carefully and safely to get all our goods on the van. The team was friendly and attentive to our requests and helped with packing that we could not finish. Our goods went to two locations and the crew packed each item into the truck for its final destination. The delivery occurred the next day as the destination was 180 miles away. This crew was also punctual, polite, patient and cheerful as they moved boxes and furniture around our new house. They completed the unpacking in about two hours. Again, they were clean and careful. It was a pleasure to have their help for this somewhat complicated move. I would recommend this company to anyone. I have moved over a dozen times and this was certainly a most positive experience. Our sincere appreciation and gratitude go to Central Maine Moving and Storage.

  6. Customer service complaint.

    I called in on 3/5/14, to make arrangements to have my belongings moved from Brewer to Bangor. I spoke with a woman whom scheduled the moving for 3:30 pm on 3/6/14. She said verbatim " we usually call to confirm a day before the scheduled date, but being that I am on the phone with you now and it is the day before , we won't need to call you again." Ended the conversation with saying they'll see me at 3:30 tomorrow (3/6/2014).
    Today, as I am leaving my place of work I turned my phone on and had 2 voicemails from Tammy Smith (from 3/6/2014)saying that they had to change the time to 7am 3/6/2014 .*note I left work at 1pm which is 4 hrs earlier than the time I'm supposed to leave, specifically to get ready for the movers.
    I then returned the call and spoke with Tammy Smith. She asked to put me on hold and came back and said that they can do it at 2pm. By this time it was 1:25. I still had not reached brewer, as I was en route to , in order to clear the entrance etc got the move. I explained this, and was subsequently placed on hold again. Once the conversation resumed Tammy Smith came back and said that they could do it at 3 and that it would now be $100/hr instead of the $90/hr I was quoted, initially. I asked why the rate increase and she said because they made attempts to cApeak to me to confirm. I then reminded her that we did confirm yesterday and was told there would be no further calls needed being that we scheduled yesterday which was a day before. She lied and said we spoke TWO DAYS ago now. First time I spoke with this company was yesterday 3/5/14. I then asked to speak with the owner and was connected with the operations manager , a male by the last name Sanders or Saunders and he said he was the one who ordered the rate increase , and that I was wrong and the staff there were right.
    I did my everything I was supposed to do. The errors, disrespect of calling a customer a liar, last minute schedule chAnges was all on the part of the company. I'm being charged a prorate for everyday my belongings are in this apartment, I left work early which means less money earned in addition to this company erring and then attempting to get more money out of me for their inconveniences.
    This was one of thee most unprofessional and messy experiences I have ever been subjected to when dealing with a "business" .
