Quickly and efficient
They worked hard, quickly and efficiently to get my job completed. I would definitely use you all again and will tell anyone I know that is moving to call! Thanks again for making moving into my first home effortless and easy!
Handled with care.
They wrapped everything with tarps and in plastic. They moved everything like it was nothing. It was all handled with care.
Worst service and moving company.
Dont go with this company. They are a rip off. The gave me a estimate of $2,500 and the day before the moving they increase it $1,500. Also never gave me a day or time for the moving,I have to keep chasing them and no one got back to me. Very unprofessional and irresponsables. Don’t waste your time and money go with a responsible company.
Major miscommunication.
We were moving from SLC to Kauai, Hawaii. We were told they take care of outer island shipments and it was included in the price. Not true. They called me on the day of our shipment arrival to Honolulu and told me that I had to be there in person to receive the shipment and send them to the young brother (completely another company) at my cost. Over last 2 months, I have called them multiple times, telling my shipping address is in Kauai, not Oahu. If this was my misunderstanding, somebody must have corrected me. But, nobody responded nor corrected that till the day of my shipment arrival. No apology was given.
Do not get tricked by City Moving.
One of the most disorganized, rude, and inefficient companies I have ever come into contact with.
1. I was quoted $4,489.20, once my belongings got packed (by an entirely different company, which also happened to be their competitor, Hercules Moving), I was given the price tag of $7,138.00. This was after I updated my packing list to detail everything I owned. Do not believe their quotes!
2. They showed up 2 days before their given "pick up window" with no warning nor apology.
3. They quoted 4-7 weeks for delivery from New York to Hawaii. It is now been 8 weeks with still no response on when my stuff arrives. My stuff was waiting at the LA port for over 5 weeks, because they supposedly needed me to fill out a form to load it on the Matson Ship. This was never communicated to me by either my account manager (still have no idea what this person does) or the dispatch team. Instead I was berated by their staff explaining that it was my fault, not theirs.
4. The company is so large that the account manager has no idea how the rest of the company works or how to get ahold of them. Their phone numbers kept changing, with their explanation that they were changing phone companies. Sadly, when they have my things hostage- I would want to know how to contact them. Understand that City Moving is only a booking company, so they make promises that they often do not have the ability to make. This is very frustrating.
5. No customer service. They are rude, often only giving the phrase "that is not how things are done around here" rather than understanding I am a high paying customer that should be treated as such. When asked what I should do, my account manager said there is nothing he nor the company can do, but would recommend writing poor recommendations- that is the only way they will hear you. So here I am.
