  1. Do not hire this company.

    Such a horrible experience in all ways, thousand of dollars worth of damage to my furniture, received someone elses items that were never picked up and received $72 for the furniture damage. The cross country delivery was 5 weeks late. Very upsetting experience.

  2. Stay clear from this company!

    Many problems with this company. They stated delivery would occur in 10 to 14 days but it was 34 days. Most of my furniture arrived damaged as well. Also there was only one person to unload the truck when it finally arrived. Please do not use this company.

  3. Run Away From Them.

    I'll start by saying that everyone says "there are no good moving companies"..Well, D&J LLC takes this to another level. They win the award for worst company I have ever dealt with in my life.

    If I could give them zero stars I would. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are a bunch of scammers, thieves, and their customer service is non-existent. They honestly act like they're doing you a favor to take your money and deliver you shards of your belongings..assuming you actually receive it at some point. They DNGAF about you once they get your deposit.

    I hired them because their agent, Jorde Hosang, was very responsive. I have to say, he was the only not-terrible part of this whole experience.

    Long story short, they BROKE or LOST absolutely everything I own, including completely shattering my flat screen TV that they charged me to pack on my behalf. The corners of all my furniture is chipped, dented or broken. They were the most expensive estimate I got by a long shot, but due to Jorde's responsiveness I chose to book with them.

    They ended up charging me double my original quote (so double the already expensive quote I got) when you consider all their misc add-on fees (or bribes in this case). They also conveniently "lost" the one box they packed for me (by the way, they insisted on consolidating some smaller items, charged me for a wardrobe box and tape. Therefore they knew the exact contents of this box), which included my new Dyson vacuum, some antique silver, a couple framed pieces of artwork, a small rug and a paper shredder.

    I should have listened to the negative reviews..I'm kicking myself for using these guys, and more so for trusting them when they said that "the negative reviews are only because of the fires in California, which caused a backlog in our warehouse. But we can assure you that everything is OK now"..that's complete BS. Also, double check the positive reviews - the "authors" have written a myriad of super-positive reviews for a ton of moving companies. They're either bot-generated, or people that are paid to write fake reviews.

    I'm now dealing with a 3rd party for the claims on my stuff because that's what they're insisting I do. D & J LLC. does not care about their customers, and they act like they're doing you a favor to take your money and break/lose your stuff. Oh, and they insist on taking cash at the end, and won't start unloading the stuff until you pay them. So you have no clue that everything is broken/stolen until they're paid in full.

    AWFUL COMPANY. AWFUL PEOPLE.

    I'll make an update to this review if they do anything to make this right. But as of now, I would have honestly been better off to sell my stuff for pennies on the dollar and re-buy it in my new location - at least then I wouldn't have had the financial cost and stress/angst of dealing with these people.

    RUN AWAY. Literally, book with ANY OTHER MOVING COMPANY.

  4. Miserable experience.

    The sales process:
    The sales guy, Richard was very friendly and helpful. He told me exactly what I wanted to hear, even when it contracted the contract. After I paid my deposit he vanished. He became non-responsive as soon as things started to go wrong.

    The pick up process:
    Richard had set me up with a pick up time frame of 2pm - 6pm on December 22nd. I got a call from the driver around noon that day stating that their truck had broken down about two hours away from me and the earliest they could get to me would be 11pm. I did not want men that I don't know in my apartment at 11pm, so we rescheduled for 7am on the 23rd. When the driver did not show up by 7:15 am, I called him to find out where he was and he was still asleep. Three men showed up to move my stuff at about 8:30am. They were all very nice, but extremely unprofessional. Here's a few examples: When I opened my fridge, one of them looked in and asked if he and his two other guys could have water bottles. These were Smart Water and they cost about $2 each, but it would have been awkward to tell him no. A different guy asked if he could use my restroom and of course I told him yes. About 30 minutes later I made a comment to him about leaving the seat up, and he just laughed and walked away. He never put the seat back down. That same guy asked me if I smoke pot because he saw me smoking regular cigarettes. Lastly, they put a dog gate on my inventory list and they did not take my dog gate. That gate stayed in my apartment until December 30th. I was charged several hundred dollars more at pick up than Richard had initially quoted me.

    Trying to find out the status of my delivery:
    I was under the assumption that my items would be delivered prior to January 7th based on the conversation and correspondence with Richard. I started calling Richard and every other number I had for D &J on January 3rd, and no one could tell me where my items were. After more than 24 hours and four phone calls later, I was able to get Diego on the phone. He was unsure why none of his people could tell me where my items were because they were still at his warehouse. Diego frankly did not care that I was upset or deceived by Richard. At one point during our conversation he stated, "If you had a $10,000 move, you would have your stuff by now.” He did not care about my $3,000 move or the fact that it was nearly everything I owned.

    My delivery:
    I finally got the phone call that I had been waiting for on January 24th. The morning of the 25th, the driver called me and said that his truck would not fit in my apartment complex. I had to pay an additional $300 for them to rent a smaller truck to transfer my items into before they could make my delivery. As the two men were moving my items into my apartment, I noticed that NEARLY EVERY ITEM WAS DAMAGED. They tried to leave me with someone else's dog gate, even though they had been walking in and out of the one that I personally moved into my apartment weeks prior the entire time. Lastly, they lost my one and only irreplaceable item. It was a priceless painting that my grandma had painted for me and given to me as a gift. I know that it made it on the truck at pick up because I was charged $30 in packing materials for it. I was texting Diego pictures of every damaged item and told him about my missing painting and he did not offer one apology. He kept referring me to fill out a claim and at one point wrote that my damaged items, "didn't look that bad.”

    Their sales people set unrealistic expectations, their movers are unprofessional and will damage and lose your items, the coverage for damaged and lost items is an insult and the owner of the business does not care. I told Diego that this has been a heartbreaking, miserable and infuriating ordeal for me and has has not offered one apology or showed me that he cared at all. I wish I had never done business with them.

  5. Movers were amazing.

    The performance of D & J Moving movers was amazing. They took exceptional care towards my valuables, wrapping them in properly and packing them in boxes to ensure safety. They brought my wife’s bulky piano in as good condition as before the move. She was very delighted and thanked me so much for electing to move with D & J Moving. Plus they did not leave any mess behind. Do not risk the safety of your properties by giving them to any other company.

  6. Treated me well.

    D & J Moving are very nice people. We needed to move all our belongings into storage to give room for construction and then back again into our house. The company did everything for us. They treated my three children very well, and I appreciate. It was an amazing experience – D & J Moving are the experts in moving customers with a smile. The movers were humorous throughout the process, and my kids enjoyed their company. D & J Moving movers fulfilled their promise to deliver my things on time and in good condition. I paid very reasonable fees for the top quality service, and I recommend them.

  7. They did not disappoint.

    Moving with D & J Moving was one of my best decisions in 2019. Previously I had used a mover who messed with my hard earned things as nearly all my stuff were destroyed in a fire that caught the truck that was ferrying my things. D & J Moving, however, gave me a totally different experience. The movers cared for my belongings like their own. They communicated promptly, so I always knew the status and the whereabouts of my things while on transit. They delivered on schedule, and so I had no time for any anxieties. Everything was brought in excellent condition, and I promise to give more business to D & J Moving because they have earned my trust.

  8. Satisfaction guaranteed.

    The two movers who came to pack and load my things were approachable, and yet very professional. They were as well very respectful in the way they treated me and my valuables. I am very inquisitive, and I asked them many questions, especially the move coordinator. But these guys were never annoyed, they responded to all my concerns. Even during the planning process, they communicated splendidly and patiently communicated through emails. The movers were punctual, as a matter of fact, they came a little early. After assessing what needed to be moved, the guys earnestly embarked on the task at hand. Their awesome organization impressed me and I had no worry about the little things. These guys are pros seeing how fast and yet effective they disassembled, packed and loaded my stuff.

  9. The movers were fantastic.

    The movers were fantastic, very skillful and friendly. I was totally satisfied with what they did for us. Their salesperson was very honest and helpful, and it allowed us to plan well and, in the end, we were given I think some of the best movers in GA. Wherever you are in Atlanta, Savannah, Augusta, Marietta, Athens or the rest of Georgia, D & J Moving is highly recommended. I now know why D & J Moving is a top rated and most sought after moving company. Their service was irreproachable. They all demonstrated excellent moving skills. They worked hard, and I want to thank them for accomplishing the work on time.

  10. Dishonest low lifes.

    They are the biggest scammers and cheaters. Jen Justin you cost me so much money and four months later to get my damaged belongings. I hope you go out of business.

  11. So Reliable.

    You are the best and there is no doubt about it. Compared to the other relocation companies I have used in the past, I find you so reliable. Your perfection and reliability were evident in the way you kept your promises. You arrived early as agreed. Additionally, the final payments were not so different from the initial. These and other factors give me reasons to hire you out next time.

  12. No more Doubts.

    I have always been sceptical about the long distance movers. Most of my friends said their services were awful. As such, I feared for my properties. Luckily enough for me, I managed to relocate with lots of ease, thanks to D & J Moving. It was my first time hiring them out and yet they performed so tremendously. The services were marvellous and I was happy to the end. You can trust me to hire them out next time.

    Thank you so much, D & J Moving team. You did a commendable job relocating me to Illinois. The whole process was exceptionally good. I was touched by your attitude. You were so passionate about the entire relocation. The team handled the job as if it was a hobby rather than a job. Additionally, I did not fail to notice the expertise you employed in ensuring everything fitted to plan. You did an amazing job and I will always be grateful. If you need extraordinary relocation services, I would best recommend D & J Moving.

  14. Move From Hell.

    This company has wronged so many families and individuals with their unacceptable horrific business practices. A class action lawsuit should be filed against them. Their crude offensive immoral standards of doing business needs to be STOPPED.

  15. 3 months later and we don't have our items.

    We contracted with D and J moving on July 16th to move from California to Florida with Richard. We paid all deposit timely and left California looking forward to seeing our stuff in 30 days. A NIGHTMARE occurred. We contacted them on August 16th with the new address and they said they will have everything to us in the next two weeks. Two weeks came and left. Over a month later after several phone calls and emails, we were told our items were still in California, our beds, living room, my daughter bed, our kitchen appliances, our clothes, our lives. The lied to us for a month and the lies continued. Another month passed and we still didn't have our items. More lies were being told to us and my daughter felt "homeless". Andrew avoided us and Richard lied to us. We received a promise from Richard and another lady that we would be compensated for the now 3 months of promises and lies. Then the said oh no we will not be compensating your again for the inconvenience. PLEASE PLEASE do not use them. I will be filing a lawsuit because this is wrong and I will do my best to ensure no one else have their lives be torched like this!
