  1. Fraudulent, Deceptive, and Unresponsive

    Do not use this company. Ryan Gold uses deceptive and fraudulent business practices by falsely advertising as a mover when in reality he is a broker who hires third party moving companies (that are not properly vetted) to facilitate your move.

    I hired Dedicated Van Lines in November 2021 to move my goods from California to Washington DC. I believed Dedicated Van Lines was going to be in charge of my entire move as they present themselves as a full-service moving company on their website. A third-party company picked up my goods in California. They arrived significantly later than expected and did not have the adequate supplies to pack my goods. For instance, they used damp/dirty towels that I had been using to clean my apartment the day of my move to wrap my TV and desktop computer because they did not have moving blankets to wrap fragile items. When it came time for payment, they also disputed Ryan’s contact, stating that I owed them more money than indicated on my contract and that Ryan was stealing money from them.

    I contacted Ryan TWO WEEKS after my goods were packed in California, simply asking for an estimated delivery date of my goods, and it took him over a week to respond to me. He kept acting like I was being demanding and unreasonable for simply asking for an update. To be clear, I wasn’t pressuring them to hurry up and delivery my goods—I just needed to ensure I had an estimate of when my goods would arrive so I could reserve my freight elevator and ensure I could take the time off work to be available.

    A separate third-party moving company hired by Ryan delivered my goods. The first load of items they brought into my apartment included a box of goods that DID NOT belong to me—I could tell immediately because it was packed in a different type of box than all my goods were packed in. The sticker had another woman’s name on it and when I told the mover, he seemed skeptical that it wasn’t mine and agreed to take the box back to the owner. At this point, I have very little faith that that box made it back to its actual owner because I am missing approximately $1,200 worth of household goods and nobody—not Ryan, the company from California, or the delivery company in DC—has been able to locate the goods or reimburse me for the items. I think they probably just get rid of them or take missing items for themselves because it is cheaper to pay the claim (which they have yet to do) than put in the work to ensure the goods make it back to their rightful owner.

    After trying to get in touch with Ryan several times about my missing goods, I told him via email that I would be leaving reviews about my experience working with him and filing a complaint with FMCSA. No surprise, this got me a response from Ryan where he told me, “An experience of itmes (sic) being missplaced and needing to be located isnt something that is special to your case or our company” as if that matters….? I am very understanding that things get lost, but his lack of responsiveness, assistance facilitating the claims process, and deceptive business practice are extremely problematic. Ryan has stopped answering my calls, texts, and emails, telling me to work with the moving companies directly, which is getting me nowhere because the delivery and pickup companies HE CONTRACTED OUT are both pointing the blame at each other.

    If Ryan is going to act as a broker, he should see his commitment through the claims settlement process but he has gone completely MIA for me. Do not use this business. There is nothing more disheartening than trusting someone with all your good, them losing them, and then them gaslighting you into acting like you’re being ridiculous, unruly, or difficult to work with when trying to right THEIR wrong.

    I looked for a moving company as I wanted to find a company I would be satisfied with. I was completely satisfied with Dedicated Van Lines. They analyzed my needs, were very polite and patient. They asked where items should go and I felt I got value for my money. I have since recommended to a friend who is moving next month and would use them again.

    The team arrived on time, handled our belongings with care, and worked efficiently. We were able to complete our move in 4.5 hours. They even helped my dad move some heavy couches up the stairs. I reached out to a ton of companies and Dedicated Van Lines provided the most affordable quote. I'll will certainly recommend this company to all my friends!

  4. Fabulous Moving Company!

    Dedicated Van lines was amazing! My original mover never showed and I had only 2 days left before I had to be out of my apartment. By the grace of God I called dedicated Van lines and I am so glad I did Ryan reassured me that he could move me and Woody who actually moved me did everything in his power to lessen my anxiety. Wonderful group of people I recommend them highly. They're polite, professional and certainly extremely capable. Wrapped all of the soft wood furniture and the wrap the couch. Just a fantastic job. So thank you dedicated Van lines.

  5. Great and professional service!!

    Great and professional service!! They had the truck packed in no time. They were also really clear and friendly. When we arrived at the house they were very intent on getting every box in the right room, and even assembled our bed in like 5 minutes without being asked. Price was also better than other places we got quotes from, and David and Darren was super easy to work with.

  6. Absolute Thieves

    I saw the high reviews and they were able to beat every other quote I received. They were pretty responsive. I added things to the quote to actually get a higher price, so I didn't have any overages and was able to budget. I even took them up on their free service to FaceTime around the house so they could get the most accurate quote possible. When the day came, they were $7000 off. I did not purchase anything between the quote and move day. They were just way way off. Be very careful using them and be prepared to go over budget. Once they are done with you, do not expect a reply back either. They are a ghost

  7. Can't be trusted

    They don't necessarily move it themselves. They broker to whomever they can get to move it. The problems begin with a low estimate. I listed every piece of furniture I own and by moving day I had eliminated a number of items. True I had more boxes but not enough to double the size of the load when most of the load was furniture (and less than was in the quote). I had to pay double the estimate but there is nothing you can do about it once it is loaded on the truck.

    We were brokered to A to Z Moving out of Las Vegas. It is troubling when you are expecting a truck that says Dedicated Van Lines and you get an unmarked, rental truck with a guy with a thick Russian accent. My first thought was “is this for real”. I convinced myself to get past that and then they abused things including walls while moving stuff out, including dropping a nightstand so it rolled all the way down my stairs punching holes in the wall on the way down. By the time I got my goods delivered I had numerous broken furniture, boxes with holes in them, crushed boxes, and upside-down boxes. The foremen on each end, when challenged on how they handle things, simply didn't care and said "things happen" with a shrug and “it’s only stuff”. They threw boxes around like airline luggage carriers. On both ends, by the time they were done I just wanted to chase them out of my house. Unfortunately, I now am dealing with the claim process and my furniture will never be the same not to mention all of the mental anguish as you watch the way your personal stuff is treated and dealing with the process afterword. If Dedicated wants to have a good reputation, they should not deal with bad companies that do such a poor job.

    When contacting Dedicated at the end I got two replies. One, “we’ll take care of you” – they didn’t. Two – from someone else, submit a claim. Who knows how long the claim process will take and how much they’ll pay.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Dedicated Van Lines is the worst company. First of all they turfed my move to a different company, Alpine Van Lines Showed up in a dirty Penske truck. The price doubled on the day of the move. I was over charged twice for boxes . The worst thing was when my furniture was delivered. My King size mattress was wrapped in my sheets, full of grease, my 75 inch TV was damaged, broken dishes and furniture damage. When I called the company Ryan Gold would not answer or return my calls. Their reviews are fake. I give one star only because I had to.

    They showed up on time, did a good job and nothing was damaged. Our 1br apartment was loaded and unloaded the same day. I can't comment on their ability to pack, as we packed and boxed up our stuff ourselves. Pricing was fair.

    Worked fast and hard! Skilled at what they do! Showed up just before their actual start time and got to work. Very happy with our movers!

  11. Look Elsewhere

    Always be wary of a huge bunch of 5-star reviews, especially when the review dates are close together. It suggests that some (or all) may not be legitimate. I can attest to the wealth of negative comments in the one-star reviews because my experience in September and October 2020 with Dedicated are tragically similar. Begin with the first untruth from the seemingly sole employee of the firm, Ryan Gold, who answered my question about the type of mover they purport to be. He boldly stated that they are a full-service mover with their own truck fleet, employees and a hub in Denver. In fact, they are, of course, a broker, but you do not know that until the brokered trucking firm calls to tell you who to make the check out for the pick-up. By that time, Ryan has his deposit and doesn't answer calls. I had to trick him by calling from new numbers as if I were a new customer to get him to answer. In my case, the trucking firm, R&M Transportation, aka Energy Moving Systems, has a consistently abysmal rating across all customer review sites. With good reason. Again, my experience was typical. Late arrival on the second of the two-day pickup window in a commercial rental truck, without any paperwork, not enough packing materials, no tags to record the inventory. The furniture wrapping and loading, and pre-packed box (54 boxes) loading for a 1700 sq ft. condo took less than 3 hours, which would be exceptional except when I looked at my possessions in the truck, they were all piled up in a jumble, some furniture without any wrapping. Three weeks and 2000 miles later, the delivery crew, from a third company arrived in another rental truck. Unpacking was efficient and speedy after we wasted an hour convincing the driver that the balance was to be paid to R&M, not to them. I have made 7 moves with commercial movers in the past 10 years, and whereas I have encountered some problems with some of those movers, I can safely attest that I have not previously received my goods in poorer condition, and until now not had any boxes missing. With this move, virtually every piece of wood furniture had either scratches, dents or crushed edges. Two boxes remain MIA. Although I was delivered an open box from another move. I fully expect Ryan to write a rebuttal, but I will remind him in advance that we discussed all these issues shortly after the delivery and that he assured me he was opening a claim case to get my belongings back as well as compensation for the damaged or broken items. I waited three months to write this review, giving Dedicated time to make things right. Still waiting for a response.

  12. NOT DEDICATED AT ALL!!!

    [NAME EDIT] at Dedicated Van Lines contracted our move to LA Transfer and Storage, and the pick up day went terribly. I told [NAME EDIT] about the issues we had and he promised that he would work with LATS to make things right for us. Around a week after we arrived in AR we found a house to rent so I alerted [NAME EDIT] of our new address. He told me that he would get our delivery scheduled with LATS and in the meantime he would obtain a detailed inventory from LATS to help with my concerns about some items possible being left off of the moving truck. I waited a week, assuming that [NAME EDIT] was working on a deliver schedule and inventory for us. When I contacted him again he couldn’t even remember telling me what he would do, and did not have any updates or documentation for me. That happened again the following week so I reached out to LATS myself, only to find out that [NAME EDIT] didn't call them and they were estimating at least another 2 weeks just to schedule our move due to them running out of trucks and drivers. It was almost a month before we got our delivery scheduled, and it was a full 49 days between pick up day and delivery day. [NAME EDIT[ started ignoring my calls when LATS continued telling me that they couldn’t schedule our move yet. He used religious holidays, family issues, and anger with LATS as a smokescreen whenever we touched based for the few minutes he would give me. He hung up on me multiple times and he never once produced any reliable information. It became clear that [NAME EDIT] had abandoned me and my family when he quit answering my calls, texts, and emails. That was a full two weeks before I got a guaranteed delivery date from LATS. I am working with LATS separately to resolve issues with them. I have not heard from [NAME EDIT] once since he abandoned us. This move was a disaster on multiple levels, but it was made much worse because of Ryan’s poor communication and ignorance. DO NOT TRUST [NAME EDIT] at Dedicated Van Lines with your family's well-being, he does not care about his customers at all!!

  13. Moving Review.. Negative 5 out of 5.. STAY AWAY GUYS

    The first two words that I get when I start to write this review are “STAY AWAY”. These guys are extremely unprofessional right from pickup, committing to a delivery date, communicating with the customer & deliver the goods.

    I signed up the contract with a guy called [NAME EDIT] – clearly describing the items that I’m moving including the boxes. Till the time I made the first payment they did sweet talk. Liam mentioned that I will get the delivery the next day and he committed to pickup on day after Christmas 26th. They messed up the pickup date and someone came to me without a wrapping blankets. The date got pushed out to 27th.

    Pickup crew arrived late afternoon and they took 5 and half hours to pickup, and finally by 7:30 PM they loaded everything into the truck. I offered them food out of courtesy and they kept insisting on tips. When I gave them tip, they argued it is too low and asked for more and more.. After they loaded, came the first boomerang – they doubled the price and they mentioned I have to talk to their front office who wrote the contract. I have no other choice but to pay.

    I asked them why it is double price, they mentioned I had additional items like iron board, cable roll etc which were insignificant. I had revised the item list and made an extra payment, but the pick up guys had the old contract.

    I called the front office ([NAME EDIT]) to clarify, he simply accused me of lying.

    HE USES “F” WORD AND HANGS UP THE PHONE. The management says that it happens sometimes.

    I kept asking them what the extra items are, there is simply no answer. They kept trying to extort as much money as possible. If there was anything extra, they should have informed before loading, but this is the way they operate, they take you to ransom.

    They took close to two weeks for delivery (initial commitment was one day) and till the time goods were delivered, there is no one to help. They kept saying it is in the fine print in the contract, I was ready for a little bit of a mess up, but not to this extent.

    Delivery – even more awful! They misplaced my power cords for my recliner, stole lot of items and didn’t even let me verify the items. God only knows what all they stole. They just place the washer / dryer – don’t hook them up so that we can check.. They also misplaced some key parts of my Fireplace TV Stand, refused to assemble it back. I mentioned I will not sign in the delivery confirmation slip, they said that they don’t need my signature.

    When I hook up the washer dryer with fresh connections, I found the washer is also broken. I don’t have any more nasty words for them.

    Seems like their contract is like a ransom to extort money and nothing else. If they delay your shipment by weeks, it is ok. If I’m outside when they turn up they will charge me delay charges.

    I’m complaining to BBB and even taking legal proceedings. I definitely feel they are not fit to be in business.

    If I have to describe this moving service in two words, it is no less than “HIGHWAY ROBBERY”.

    Awesome crew. Packed everything carefully and quickly. Moving is pretty stressful, but the guys made the experience bearable. Good communication, prompt arrival, extremely nice packing, solid handling of several large pieces of furniture, flawless assembly and disassembly. We felt in strong, steady hands.

    I had Ryan as my rep...he was very helpful...helped me in so many ways...treated me like I was a person and not just a client....very respectful and professional.....I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.....great rates and they take care of everything you don’t have to do a thing...just make the call to them....you will be satisfied....
