Eagle Global Carrier Review.
I would not recommend EGC. First, in the weeks leading up to the move, I could not get anyone from the compnay to call me back. I called every day for 4-5 days and left messages asking them to verify pick up time, payment, etc. It wasn't until I left a message saying I would call the BBB if someone didn't return my call that I finally got a call from them. This happened multiple times. Next, we were assured we would be the first pick up of the day and the rep said it would be between 8-10am. The driver did not show up until after 1pm. While at our apartment, he also asked me to run out and get him some coffee, which I did. He did not offer to reimburse me for it, which I thought was incredibly rude. They also charged me an additional $1200 the day of the move. This is just the MO for these types of companies. They quote you a price well under what they expect to charge you, then on the day of, they re-evaluate the estimate and upcharge you. It's sickening. The one good thing was that they got our things to our new location quickly, however, the driver on the delivery end tried to charge us again because the boxes weren't loaded on to the truck properly. We explained that it wasn't our problem -- his people loaded the truck! Lastly, they lost one of our curtain rods and said nothing to us about it, which means they didn't check the invetory list at all against what they unpacked. You are better off going with a more reputable company, even if their quote is higher. Ultimately, we paid much more than anticpated and were not at all satisfied with the customer service. .
Fast, Professional & Friendly Movers.
I typically do not do reviews but I was so happy with Eagle Global Carrier, it's only right. I work as a government contractor and have to move quite a few times. Excellent customer service and friendly, clean movers. These guys were freaking awesome! They called ahead of time on moving day and showed up on time. The movers wore clean clothes. One of my pet peeves is dirty movers around my stuff. They took great care packing and moving my items. They were so quick and efficient, my estimated quote ended up being less. If you're looking for a national mover, look no further. I will always use them from now on. I would highly recommend Eagle Global Carrier. Oh! I almost forgot! If you visit their "About Our Service" page on their website, there are tons of coupons you can use to apply to your move. Use them!
