Estimate Was Terrible
I can’t recommend East Coast Movers to anyone seeking a mover. They recently moved us from Calabash to Florida. They gave us an estimate of the cost to move us. When the time came, we were required to pay approximately $2,200 more than was originally estimated. They refused to unload our furniture until we paid. Since we weren’t prepared for the total they gave us, we had to put the total on our charge card, which they charged us an additional $181.00 for doing. They talked to us twice after loading our furniture and never once mentioned the additional charges! If I could say one good thing, the crew was very good.
Local move within North Carolina.
We used East Coast Moving LLC located in Shallotte, NC. They were very accommodating. Very organized, professional and efficient. They packed and unloaded our furniture. The workers were very nice and knew what they were doing. They wrapped everything and were very good about cleaning up after they unpacked us at the new house. We will use them again and highly recommend them.

We were extremely pleased with our move from Shallotte, NC to Richmond, VA. Both the packing and unloading were performed in an excellent manner. Everything was on time at both ends of the move. The movers were very professional and helped us with all of our requests during the move. Movers were polite and enjoyable to work with. They handled everything with care. We recommend them highly.
Efficient, Professional, & Detail-Oriented.
Amazing service! Had to schedule a last minute move from North Carolina to South Carolina, was met with outstanding customer service. We rented a 2nd floor apartment, which had a loft. The movers handled the stairs wonderfully, they were extremely careful and considerate with all of our possessions. We have a spiral staircase and needed to move some larger items, like an oddly shaped desk, to the loft. The movers offered expertise advice on how to safely move the items to prevent damage to the item or the apartment. This company is proficiently detail oriented, courteous, and professional. I highly recommend giving them a call for anything you need moved!

Horrible Experience!
East Coast Moving in Shallotte, NC placed red inventory stickers on my furniture and the ink from the stickers bled into my furniture and I cannot get the ink out. When I contacted the general manager, Carrie D Partello, she tells me that this could not have happened so she refuses to pay for the damage. The problem I have is not the damage to the furniture..it's the fact that East Coast Moving will not accept responsibility when the problem was clearly their fault. Lack of accountability and responsibility is not what I expected.

I recently used East Coast Moving LLC for my move from Florida to North Carolina. Everything we spoke about over the phone sounded wonderful. The day of move was a completely different story. We scheduled the pickup for the morning, I had a flight to catch later that day. After they were 2 hours late for our arranged time, I called their office. After calling for over an HOUR!! I ended up having to postpone my flight for the following day and stay with a friend for the night. The truck finally showed up 4.5 hours later!! My estimate for the move was $2650, and after they loaded all my belongings onto their vehicle they told me it was going to be an additional $1700! I was outraged and tried to call the company again..no answer..go figure. I went along with it and caught my flight the next day. Once I got to NC I called East Coast Moving LLC, and I actually was able to talk to a representative. They told me that if didn't pay they were going to sell my furniture to pay for the difference. I was without my things for over 2 weeks!! After exhausting all the options that I could I just ended up paying the extra $1700. I wrote this review to save others the time, money, and headache that I experienced..YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!
East Coast Moving is the best!
This was our first experience with movers as we have always moved ourselves. We researched movers in the area and selected East Coast Moving LLC based on their great reviews, and we were not disappointed. We were a little apprehensive about using movers but Chris and his crew far exceeded our expectations! They were courteous, fast and efficient and took great care to protect our furniture. The crew was very professional. We will definitely use them again in the future!
Excellent experience.
Had a wonderful experience with East Coast Moving. This is the second time I've used them within a couple of months and I could not have asked for more. They were on time, courteous, careful and everything was as promised. They arrived on time and worked constantly while they were there, so I wasn't paying for any down time. They will be my "go to" movers should I ever need someone again. I hghly recommend them.
Move.
From the first time Carrie came out to my home until all the furniture was delivered, the experience was great! Chris oversaw and worked the move. He was super. All of the men were polite and very careful.
There was nothing too much to ask. Chris even set my Grandfather clock!

Great moving experience.
Moving is a notoriously bad experience, but East Coast Moving made it go lightning fast and efficiently. We learned about East Coast Moving from neighbors who had recently moved and who each gave excellent recommendations. The entire moving team was professional, patient, competent and very pleasant to work with. Carrie was even there to calm me down and reassure me a few days before moving when I was having a stressful pre-move meltdown. On moving day, everything arrived safely and well packed with not a single thing missing or broken. They were also super-efficient in returning a couple days after the move to retrieve all the empty boxes piled up in our garage. We highly recommend them and would use them again in a heartbeat.
Professionalism.
I can't say enough good things about East Coast Moving. They were professional and very bsiness like. They took execellent care of my belongings, Wrapping that was breakable. They arrived on time the day of moving and anpacked exactly where I wanted them to. I would highly recommend them. And, the were very reasonable!
Best Move We Ever Had!
This was the best move we had in the 12 times we have moved. The crew was prompt, careful with our belongings, professional and friendly. Everything was wrapped and padded. They even padded a full glass panel on the side of my front door before they started unloading.
Can't believe we've been here a week already!
The crew did a fantastic job with the move. I unpacked our last box yesterday and not a thing was broken or misplaced. Considering he had to pack it all up, store it, and then repack it, travel down to Florida and unpack it, I expected that something would be broken or misplaced, but all was just as we left it. They were so careful with our things and very organized. Moving is stressful, but both you and the crew inspired confidence the whole way through.
