  1. Terrible service and refuses to refund money

We recently used this company and they did a terrible job. We had more damages to our furniture than the fee for the move. We settled on an amount and they asked that we send a check for the whole amount and they would delete our credit card charge. They never deleted the credit card charge and kept both payments. The owner Jon is very belligerent and after promising to delete the charge once he received the check- now refuses to do so. So he kept both. Now we have to go through the credit card company. These people are not honest business people.

  2. Local Move Boca to Wellington

Great service Crew was very careful and wouldn't let us lift a finger. On time and on Budget. I have referred Father and Son to many friends and colleagues. A total delight

  3. Father and son movers.

The movers broke the glass of a sofa table, that cannot be duplicated by any glass cutters in the area. They moved 6 glass top tables and broke the most expensive one. They said the company would pay for replacement, and would send a claim form. After 2 weeks, and several phone calls to the company, we were told that it would not be covered because the contract states that they are not liable if they did not pack it. We did not pack it, they handled the move entirely. A broken piece of glass, the cost of which to replace in a plain cut is $350. We are out the money, and they lied for 2 weeks about covering it. Irresponsible, dishonest company. We were moving 1.5 miles away!

  4. Not happy.

This was my first big moving experience, in that past I have always done it myself. Now that I am married and my husband is in the military I needed to move all our things to TX, to far for me to do alone. I booked with Father and Son because I was so overwhelmed with all the companies contacting me for estimates and the girl I spoke with from father and son really made me feel much better about the move. She gave me a great price over the phone and I signed the contract right away. 4 days later when I had my schedule for all my things to be picked up, another company showed up! Father and son never informed me that they hired this other company to move my things instead. This was a company that I had already spoken to and DID NOT want. At that point I had no choice, I had to get in my car and drive to TX that day. The other company then informs that it will be almost double what I was quoted over the phone and that I have to pay cash (which I did not have ready because that wasn't an issue with father and son). Needless to say it has been well over a week and I am still sitting in an empty apartment. Very unhappy! I will be moving a lot over the next who knows how many years with the military and I could have been a very loyal customer. When I emailed my concern to the father and son rep that was so nice and helped me, I got no apology or response. .

  5. Charges and cancellation.

Was told security was refundable if cancelled, was not told at any time that a binding fee was not refundable. the binding fee cancellation was in the contract after I submitted  the contract. the contract was set up as such you submitted before all the particulars, NOT at the end of the page which would have viewed everything before signing.

  6. Stolen Desktop.

Please do all your research before using this company ,they are very unprofessional and dishonest .After the verbal abuse and disrespect from the driver me getting my stuff was such a disaster dealling with unprofessionalism .This company had the nerve to try to steal my brand new desktop and lied saying that it never left my point of pick up ..The truth be told after going through extentive emails and filling as many complaints and even getting the police involved I guess they were sceared off and made up a foolish lie and said that my desktop was dispatched in their office in Atlanta and was sent to me by certified mail. Be very careful with this company cause if I did my homework before I hired them I would never have used them with all the bad press they revieve . I am thankful my computer was recovered but I am not done with them by a long shot because they are to dishonest and will continue to take advantage on us paying customers ..

  7. Move on 12-23-2011. BAD COMPANY.

This was an awful experience. They showed up at 3:45. I was promised they would be there between 12 and 2. The move was small, it was over by 5:30. I was charged $368. I was told that was minimum amount. The salesman did not tell me that there was a minimum. I was told it would be about 200 to 300 dollars. I was charged for one hour drive time, I was not told that I would be charged for that when I booked with salesman Jason. I spoke to owner and complained and he was nasty and told me that they would not complete delivery until I paid in full. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL.

  8. Unethical Opportunists.

If you are going to use a moving company steer clear of Father and Sons Moving and Storage Company. In September 2011 at the recommendation of someone else we had the misfortune to use the services of this company. Not only did they not adhere to the time quoted to us they managed to damage every piece of furniture. At one point when confronted with obvious damage that occurred in front of us, we were told "It was just a crack and not broken". No attention to any detail whatsoever, furniture moved on its top and set on the floor this way, bent metal table legs, scratches, gouges in walls and on and on. If you use them do so at your own peril.
