This is a SCAM
100% a scam, and they know it. I was moving apartments from one state to another. Gold Standard Relocation is a moving company broker (not actual movers). Once they knew my budget, they offered me an estimate that was just below my budget. But then once the movers came to pick up my things from my apartment, the price was over $1000 ($2600 vs. $3600) higher! At that point, you can't back out, so you have to pay, and they know it. Some of my things were damaged or lost during the move and they did nothing about it... They also promised me a specific delivery date, which was also a lie. I tried to get it resolved through customer service, and they strung me along for awhile and then started ignoring me. I consulted a lawyer who recommended I file a complaint with the Interstate Commerce Commission (https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/protect-your-move/file-a-complaint).
Gold Standard Relocation will quote a low price to lure you in, and then jack up the price once you're unable to back out. There's nothing you can do about it, and they know it. They are straight up criminals-- avoid at all costs!

Originally I was giving a quote for moving a studio/ 1 bedroom apartment at $2087.80 I was told the company had a truck heading in the direction towards my desired location after another move and they didn’t want the truck to come back empty, This was there reasoning for the discount and their competitive pricing. The representative stated I was doing them a favor because my move fit in-between two other moves and he would give me a discount. They stated that the truck would be departing in a few days and that I only had a few hours to secure the discounted price for the move. I gave an initial deposit of $517.46. After I learned this is a lie they tell potential customers to make their rates seem discounted, and create a sense of urgency to book in a short time frame to qualify the move as a short notice by their policy so they can deny a refund within their 72-hour cancellation policy.
Because I was rushed, I didn’t research The company before committing. With my research, I discovered the horrible reviews and a class action lawsuit for deceptive business practices and I called to cancel within the 72-hour window, but when I called to cancel the customer service person refused to refund my deposit. They stated because it was a short notice move and I wasn't entitled to a refund, even though the move was short notice due to the companies behalf.
I put down a $517 deposit and $750 (half of the remaining balance) at the time of the pickup. However, after all of my items were loaded on the truck my mother was handed an adjusted quote that was double what I was originally quoted. Originally, my balance was $750 left on delivery to pay. Now I’m being informed that I owe an additional $1400 due to the additional square footage they claim I used. Also during the pick up the movers asked for more money than what I was contracted to pay, my mother on my behalf refuse.
The moving company claimed I needed or used an additional 200 more cubic feet. Before the move, I used a 10 foot U-Haul truck which is 402 cubic feet to haul my items to the pickup destination. With their new quote, they are insinuating that I couldn't get all my belonging on a 10-foot truck U-Haul; however, I loaded everything on the Inventory list and still have 5 feet of space left on the truck. So I am more than aware that the extra 200 cubic feet The company is claiming that I used are tactics to inflate the price. Also my bedframe is listed as four separate pieces. Another tactic to increase the Square footage so they can increase the price.
My items finally arrived August 1 and my stuff was BROKEN, dirty and had MISSING BOXES. Some of my expensive Apple electronics were damaged and some missing. My picked up on June 23, 2021 and i was to be delivered on July 6, 2021. Per the contract, the items were to be delivered within 7-21 business days, which would have been July 22, 2021 but my items were delivered on August 1, 2021. On July 21st I was told that I would be delivered within the next three business days of course that was a lie. On July 21st (which was the 21st business day) I was told i would receive a discount per day that they are past the 21 business days as well, but of course that was a different story on August 1 when my items were delivered they carrier refused to release any of my belongings unless I paid the full adjusted price upfront and then stated that gold standard would reimburse me. gold standard and their carriers used this tactic of blame each other to get away With scamming their customers. Of course on the day of delivery I’ll called Golden standard multiple times and I was unable to get an answer to get the refund from the carrier on my delivery day, because of this I refuse to sign any releasement paperwork.

Never got our stuff moved despite a large amount of money being dished out. They hired a thief to move us, but they aren’t responsible. Promised a tiny refund not even 1/16 of what we paid, and still waiting. There’s no actual “owner” to talk to. Get the run around and delays for resolution. Stay clear!!! Huge scam!!!
Long distance move crooks!
They get you hooked in with a low ball quote and then they showed up and wanted twice the amount at the door. It was already expensive with the original quote at 6k and then asking for an additional 6k was ridiculous. We turned them away at the door and then they kept almost 1k stating that we refused the service! Of course we refused the service when you are trying to rob people blind. Talked to Sam and the best that he could do was refund 15% of that charge which is a slap to the face for them doing absolutely nothing. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!!

So this company does not stand by its quotes, EVER. The people they send to pack your stuff don't even know who these people are, or what was agreed to... Bait and switch when it comes to door-to-door service. Then they refuse to honor their obligations at every step as they try to extort more money.
They call, then refuse to take your calls, and they never call you back when they say they will or they pass the buck. [NAME EDIT] is awful, you literally tell him what you need word for word in a single sentence and his reply is "so what do you need?" That's literally moronic! Lisa - Won't return your call though she claims she will. That was TWO times she pulled this.
Then they have what it allegedly a supervisor call you. He is zero help and knows very little as well. It was so good to learn the home address of my shady driver out in Aurora, CO...in case it is needed going forward.
This driver left me with a massive truck to unload, I am disabled. I guess he figured my sick, elderly disabled mother could help me. So this company effectively left two older, disabled people to unload a giant box truck, a pickup, and do the work this sad sack company stated they would handle. Did not matter he was going to do nothing but shirk his responsibilities, the same as Gold Standard Relocation and its workers. This company and everyone you will speak to are a complete sham and a joke!
Bait and switch ! Do not deal with this company
Bottom line is they will quote you one price show up and change it by over 2 k more. Pretty sure they are Russian mafia ….complete crooks! They wasted my time, and all they do is collect your deposit and keep! Im disputing with bank and talking to attorney - I’m sure any 5 star reviews are done by them. STAY AWAY ! RUN AWAY ! You will lose money and get lied to !! Remember they are brokers not movers
Fraudulent "Company"
This company is an absolute scam. Just read the complaints on BBB. They low ball your estimate to get you to sign the contract and then drastically increase the price only days before your scheduled move. They claim it's because you add more inventory but unless I am adding half a house worth of furniture, nothing explains an over $3,000 price increase. They are a broker who higher non-reputable movers to actual move your belongings. Not to mention that when the movers arrive they have the ability to increase the price even more and not deliver your belongings unless you pay. Once you sign that contract there is nothing you can do to get your money back and you can either lose your deposit or pay the increases. DO NOT BELIEVE ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS! It is the company itself posting them. Just a little investigating will prove that. All of their replies to negative reviews is them claiming its not their company. Yes there is another one with a similar name but I can promise you, this one is just as fraudulent as the other. If you are considering this company, DO NOT choose them and go with someone reputable. If you have already used them, make sure you file your complaints with BBB, Attorney General and FMCSA and review them everywhere so others know what they are in for.

Beware of the other company! Gold Standard Relocation was great in every aspect. Delivery was on time, and communication was great. I wouldn't have been worried but there's another company called GOLD STANDARD MOVING THAT IS A SCAM! I needed to be out by a certain date from my house, last minute they moved the date VIA text, and then they kept texting and calling my saying the other company was a scam! I was so freaked out. But it all worked out and I was assured my stuff was on it's way. They were very fast and took care of my belongings. PLEASE BEWARE of the scammer company! Gold Standard RELOCATION IS LEGIT! Make sure you book with the correct company!
The only thing that had me worried which maybe they might fix is on their letterhead there was no name or phone number to call, but I think it was just because it was a generic form.

Arrived on time. Constructive nothing too tricky for them very hardworking and I am always delighted with Gold Standard Relocation. I find them consistently giving me a reason for going back, time after time.
They are not movers, they are (crappy) brokers
We booked a move from NV to TX , 5-bedroom house.
While working with them, we did not realize they were brokers. We paid for the platinum package that included disassembly, packing, moving, unpacking and reassembly. Estimate was $12k and they took a deposit of ~$3300 at booking. On moving day, we learned that the "deposit" was really a booking fee, not applicable to the actual moving fee. This was a shock to us, because who pays $3300 for someone to find a mover for them? That's what google is for!
The mover they sent (Mission transportation inc) said the estimate was inaccurate and they asked for an additional $5k. The movers said the quote did not include supplies and also they were not aware they were supposed to pack my belongings. I got Gold relocation on the phone and they were unable to use their magic broker powers to help us. I agreed to pay $3k extra to the movers. The $3300 to Gold was obviously money down the drain at this point. I just wanted my things moved.
The movers ran out of room on their truck (they came with a Penske truck btw), moved 80% of my stuff and left me stranded with with the rest. The Gold rep was unable to help us broker some arrangement with the movers to come move the rest and we had to scramble to find another mover on our own for an additional $2500.
When our stuff was dropped off, they reassembled one bed (yay platinum package).
Gold relocation communicates with you as though they are actual movers who have a say in how the movers work. They do not. You do not need a broker to find you a mover. It took me 5 minutes online to find a mover for the rest of our stuff.
You are still at the mercy of the mover when they show up, might as well work directly with them and save you broker fee to Gold Relocation.

Ray, and Martel were all absolutely fantastic. They got us packed up, moved out and moved in, and in the end, we did not have one broken or scratched item. These guys were fantastic. They knew what they were doing, asked good questions, paid attention to our needs, and they were funny and friendly. I've moved several times over the years, and this was by far the least stressful and most pleasant moving experience that I've ever had.
