Move from Illinois to Arizona.
This company is a rip off. I was told one amount over the phone and then on the day of the move, the price jumped by almost $4,000, the movers were very rough with my furniture and when it was delivered, my things were scratched, broken and lot's of items were missing as if someone went thru everything and took what they wanted. Tried to contact them and they never answered the phone for 10 months. They need to be shut down because they are thieves and lier's. Keep your money, go to anybody other than this lying, unorganized, company full of theives. You will be sorry. I also have pictures of everything before they took it and after they delivered it. Please don't use this company.
Avoid at all cost!
Crooks - Avoid at all costs! I will never deal with them again. I had to move a single Grandfather clock. Spent twenty minutes on the phone explaining exactly what I needed..a professional moving company with experience packing and moving a Grandfather clock, etc. I was assured they were professional, experienced, etc. They show up a day early and five hours after they said they would be at my house. They show up in a Hertz truck, and none speak English. They charged me an additional $200 to pack my clock..the very reason I hired them and what they said they would do. They're "$200 packing job" entailed them placing bubble wrap and a blanket around the clock. Oh, and I had to transport the hardware so they "didn't lose it." Lastly, I'm charged another $600 for shuttle service..also not quoted. So I paid $800 (or 80%} more than initially quoted. They will give you the lowest quote, promise you the world during the sales process, and completely jam you. They also only take cash (RED FLAG), and I had to pay 90% of the bill before my goods were delivered. Total scam. Save your time, money, and aggravation. Avoid them at all costs. Buyer beware.
Very bad moving company.
These people charged me 3 times the amount they told me on phone,alot of items where missing,i submitted a claim form till today they haven't paid me,they told me to call Anthem,bad customer service,everything about this company is very bad,nobody should ever do business with them if you want peace of mind,i went through hell just to get my things,it's a whole lot of crap that I can't even write it all here, I told them it's a military move,but in the last minute they said I didn't inform them,i paid another extra money to the guys who brought my things,i requested a weighing ticket,they never gave ,i have handed over whatever this company has caused me to God,to be the judge between me and them.
Long-distance move from Illinois to Nebraska.
Like Mr. James, I would rate zero if I could. Among the problems: Promise that if I paid for shuttle service, I would avoid long-carry charge. Eventually forced to pay both (or they wouldn't deliver goods). Final bill was approximately double the quoted price. Most annoyingly, they delivered the wrong mattress to our house. They never delivered the right mattress (a much better mattress) and refused to pick up the wrongly delivered one (so I have to pay to dispose of it). They have gone completely silent on me personally and have failed to respond at all to their local better business bureau which followed up on my complaints. All in all, a very bad experience.
Stay Away From Greenmovers of America.
If I could rate as zero I will certainly do that. This company screwed me over the summer and not only lost some of my goods, there was several delays in their delivery. Their customer service is non existent and horrible. They are very unprofessional. I was told when I sign up that everything was paid in full only for the delivery guys to arrive and tell me they had to charge long haul and various hidden fees which was never discussed. Please do yourself a favor and don't even think about hiring this company. They are fraud, very decietful and unprofessional. Look else. Up till today I have not received a refund for the lost goods which was worth over 750 dollars. STAY AWAY FROM GREENMOVERS OF AMERICA AND ANY OF THEIR AFFILIATE COMPANYS.
Do Not Use!
DO NOT USE GREEN MOVERS! I can go on and on about all the ways this company did me wrong but I will make this brief. They showed up late (for a move that required a 2 hour travel to my new destination), told me I had to pay an extra $4,000 on top of my $3,000 estimate, took 6 hours to load a 2 bedroom townhome (contents already packed), told me he worked out a deal so I only had to pay $2,000 of which a portion he was keeping as a tip. Arrived at destination at 9:30 pm and my family and I had to HELP UNLOAD the truck while the foreman sat in the truck. They did not finish until 1:30am and did not unwrap anything or attempt to put together basic items like my bed frame or dining table. We still had to go back the next day, rent a U-Haul and pack up everything they left behind. They waited until they had enough of my belongings on the truck to hit me with this ridiculous overcharge, when I was completely vulnerable and took advantage. This company deserves NEGATIVE STARS and to be out of business. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they will rip you off and take full advantage of your situation.

Carefully read your contract about Shuttle service. I read that but knew a truck would have easily come to my address. The business decided, without prior contact to me, used a shuttle from Boston to NH. Showed up at my door requesting another 650.00 for the service. Cash payment before loading the truck. I don’t know about you but I didn’t have that kind of cash laying around. Customer service brought it down to 450$. But still what an unpleasant surprise. Shop elsewhere!

Based on all the reviews I see here and everywhere else. Maybe a class action suit is necessary.
I could write an entire essay on all the issues I had but it would be mirroring every review you can find about them online. I did not see all these reviews prior to selecting them as my moving company and would not have chosen them had I read all these complaints. I wanted the cheapest rate with standard moving service and ended paying more than what PODS quoted me. Since this something I see everyone has dealt with, I will probably be reaching out in a more official way soon.

Scam.
Dont use them stay far away from this company. It is not full service at all they didn't even bring the items into the apartment. They completely take advantage of people in a vulnerable position. Do not allow these people an opportunity to get you in this way. Please stay away and be sure to ask as many questions and really read what is included and what they will be doing. Full service is not full service with them. The quote was one thing and the end total with leaving half of the items behind, them not bringing the items in, the police involved, still ended up with triple the original quote. Stay far away!
Scam.
Do not use this company they are a complete scam. They quote one price 2900.00 and once they wrap your stuff and get it on truck the price tripled, I wish I had read more reviews before I hired them. After I had them leave they called back and all of a sudden they could give me original price. Glad I wasn’t fooled because I read they will keep your stuff hostage.
Move from New Jersey to Delaware.
Green Movers of America is a scam operation on senior citizens and others and should not be used for any moving services. I have worked with several moving companies over the past year with good experience. However, this company was the worst and most disreputable I ever worked with, very dishonest, rude and horrible customer service. My wife and I are both over 70 yrs. old and felt this was pre-planned scam operation on senior citizens. I had a relatively small number of items to be moved form Bayonne NJ to Delaware. When I discussed the move with the Sales rep, I was very clear on the number of items to be moved and that there were three flights of stairs at the pick-up location and one flight of stairs down at the delivery location. I was given a price of $ 850.00 for the move and was promised our items would be picked up and delivered on the same day for that price. When the movers showed up at the Pick-up location and entered into the apartment, they started identifying several items that would cause the price to increase- clearly this was part of their business model, lowball price upfront and then when onsite look for justification for price increases. Initially, they wanted to increase the total price by $1600. They claimed there was $600 in extra charges due to the three flights of stairs and $1000 extra “shuttle” charge since they weren’t able to use an 18-wheeler truck at that location. This “shuttle” service charge is a big scam and was never explained to me when discussing the move with the Sales rep. After several heated discussions when they were refusing to load their truck, I agreed, under duress, to pay an extra $300. However, I had to carry the majority of my items down the stairs to their truck – they refused to do so since I wouldn’t pay more. After the items were loaded into their truck and I gave them “Cahiers Check” for 20%, we were told by the truck driver they would be delivered later that same day. Then after waiting several hours for delivery in Delaware and several calls back to the home office, we were told our items would not be delivered the same day and would be delivered in the next few days. Their excuse was that they had to wait for the “Cahiers Check’ to clear which makes no sense since a Cashier’s Check is the same as cash. After many heated discussions with the company reps responsible for delivery, our items were finally delivered 29 days after the pick-up. During that time the moving company tried to charge me for storage fees and also added $600 “shuttle “charge which I refused to pay. There was absolutely no need for the so called “shuttle service” with a smaller truck. Our delivery address had a very wide road with easy access for an 18-wheeler moving truck – just another attempt to get more money. In the end, I had to rent my own truck and meet the moving truck in Walmart parking lot for transfer of our items as they refused to deliver to my home as originally promised unless I paid an extra $600. I was told by the home office that the movers would move our items from their truck to our moving truck in the Walmart parking lot, but they refused to do that. So, my wife and I (both over 70 yrs. old) had to move the items onto our rented truck. Every time I spoke to the home office to try and resolve the issues, they very disrespectable and in most cases, rude. They don’t seem to understand what good customer service is. This has been the worst experience ever with any contractor. When I tried to contact the original Sales rep. to discuss the price discrepancies, he never responded to me. I would never work with Green Movers of America again. They are more interested in scamming customers than providing good customer service customer service and honest pricing.
Bad news.
This company a fictitious company and this isn't their real name number one. Number 2 they based out of NY. And they also go by the name Dads movers or something like that. They showed up hours late and demanded money in cash or they would not load our stuff. It took them over a month to deliver our stuff and it came damaged from a "so called" fire. Demanded more once it got to us and we never notified there was a fire. We now have no furniture, TVs, beds, but most all our personal belongings.

I served proudly in the US Army for nearly 30 years and experienced numerous moves throughout my career. This is the he absoluteworst experience I've had. Lack of pertinent information on their behalf resulted in me being at fault. And which made matters worse, the customer service was deplorable and rude, they even hung up the phone on my wife!! If possible, STAY AWAY from Green Movers of America!
Thieves, Liars and Extortionists!!
This is one of the most disreputable companies I’ve ever worked with. They quoted me a price of $1400 to move two pieces of furniture and several boxes from Maryland to Colorado in a time frame that seemed reasonable. However, the truck did not show up at the appointed time as it had broken down on the road several hours away and it never occurred to them to call and tell me they were late. They FINALLY showed up at 9:45pm and as they were loading the pieces on the truck, proceeded to hand me a bill for an additional $600 for "shuttle services" incurred as a result of not being able to get a full-size truck down my driveway (a total lie)! When I spoke with the manager the following day and demanded to know why they were not more upfront about this fee (which they charged to every customer from whom they picked up that day) at the time of the booking, her response was that not everyone has to pay this fee. So I asked why they don't just add it on in the beginning and then remove it if it's not needed. Her reply to me was “How likely is it I would have used their company had I known there would be an additional surcharge for the shuttle service?” I told her that this practice is deception by omission and completely unethical.
The shipment did not go out on either of the days that they told me everything was being loaded, and then instead of calling our son the day before delivery so he could make arrangements to leave work, they called him 30 minutes out to say they were on their way.
At the delivery in Colorado, they again charged us the shuttle fee plus an additional fee for the 15 steps they had to walk up with the items. The bottom line is that our $1400 move ended up costing us over $2500!!
They don’t answer the phone when you call and they don’t return phone calls. Once they have your goods they will hold them hostage until you pay all of the fees that they claim are due.
This company completely misrepresented themselves and has the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. They completely lack integrity and honesty so if you’re looking for a company for your interstate move, I urge you to cross this one off your list.

Was quoted $2900 for a 700 mile move. Movers showed up in a rented truck with no uniforms. After they wrapped the furniture, we were given a quote ranging from $7-8,000. Hmmmm. After telling the guys to leave, they offered it at $3,200. However, there was too be an additional $1,500-2000 shuttle fee once arrived.
They are snakes, and also extremely rude. Do not use them. After what I experienced, the review below gave me the mindset to just cancel the move and cut my loss. The worst people to deal with and worst company!
