Single family home move in Maryland
Green line was recommended by a friend, who’s friendship I question now. The sales person told me a full pack and move meant I did nothing. When the movers arrived it was a different story .“Sorry sir we don’t pack dishes” They broke a drawer on my China cabinet, handed the piece to my girlfriend, and said “it fell off”. If you have any nice furniture, hire another company.
Beware! Estimate is useless.
Moving daughter to NY from MD for school. Instead of carting up everything ourselves (the modest equivalent of a studio apartment) we decided to go with a moving company. I had used companies like this for work related moves before and they were professional and honest. Greenline is not. The estimates were provided with exact inventory and EXACT addresses to move between. For pickup and (free storage) for two days the actual cost after loading was 66% higher than the estimate. 2.5 hours to wrap everything and load. Then the same amount of time to unload into storage? Padding the bill. And 10 percent fuel charge. I called Sheila our rep and made it clear that the estimate for the delivery day would not increase likewise. She stated that that number should be good and it is a rarity that the number would increase more than a few dollars. I said NY? Traffic? She said yes. I took her at her word. Ha.
Now, on the estimate document itself it states 8AM delivery. Black and white. The day before (while we were driving up in advance) we get a call to confirm delivery between 4-6PM on the delivery date. My wife had a discussion and Sheila said stop yelling, I was in the car and she was not yelling. Delivery day, we were to get a call saying they were en route. No call. We call at noonish, rep said they would call. Back and forth. they did not arrive until 750PM. Complained about traffic, seemed nice enough, showed me the number including some extra time for travel, I was good with that number. They unloaded, we even helped with unwrapping blankets and unpackaging to expedite. I left to get dinner. My wife called me to say they tacked on another hour of labor to raise the bill even more from the initial estimate. Total of 42 percent. So much for her word. Then they ask for a tip. We are not unreasonable, but we were not rewarding them for this gouging. Especially after showing one number and I specifically stated - I am happy with this bottom line number. This company never made a site visit for estimate, had lackluster communication, and above all have no integrity. I'm hoping the workers find a job with a real company as their tips must be minimal with this type of experience. Upside - out items did arrive all in one piece - although we personally packed all the boxes and fragile items. Please do not use them.
Absolutely horrible company and service.
Absolutely the worst moving company and experience I have ever had. Not only there was a lot of physical damage to expensive furniture and TV but also a lot of emotional stress. I was helping a friend to move. The day of the move we found out about additional hidden fees that the sales person Yuriy never explained before as well as absolutely no insurance on the furniture (a maximum of 50$ per item on furniture that costs between 500$ and 5000$ is ridiculous) since we had no choice and were in a time crunch we were forced to proceed with the move. I personally spoke to the sales representative Yuriy about the additional fees which were not mentioned before and he was extremely condescending rude and raised his voice when speaking to me both in English and Russian. I stood outside by the moving truck and watched how the movers left the boxes and furniture completely unattended in the middle of Baltimore MD where it could have been easily stolen. Then they wrapped only the top of a wooden table and when I asked to wrap the entire table they told me “but that’s the bottom” and I insisted on re wrapping because I don’t care if a bottom or top of an expensive table gets scratched or damaged. Throughout our drive to our destination Yuriy kept communicating with my friend
in a condescending and rude manner, causing a lot of emotional stress and trouble. When the furniture was received I documented the significant amount of damage caused to the furniture and TV (see some of attached photos). We will be taking any and all means possible to get a settlement and payment for all the damaged caused.
Worst move experience of my life and I’ve moved a lot.
If I could give 0 stars I would. This is by far the worst move I have ever experienced. I was relocating for the military and unfortunately had to do a DITY move. I was in a bind and wound up using greenline. I felt taken advantage of and lied to from the beginning. Yuriy the sales person was extremely condescending and rude to me throughout the entire process and stated he told me about several things when he didn't. On pickup day due I was advised I had to waive insurance coverage which was never told to me and being in the bind I was I signed the paperwork. Here's the worst part, I received my furniture and every single piece of large furniture I have had some damage to it with several items being damaged beyond repair. My $1400 tv is now unusable due to the damage that was done. Several expensive Williams Sonoma, restoration hardware and west elm furniture items were damaged. I am so upset at the situation. I don’t know how this many items could be damaged without being in an accident or just complete carelessness. Proceed when caution when using this company.
BEST Movers I have ever used..
I am generally not a fan of moving and movers but I had a very, very good experience with GreenLine! The 2 movers showed up on time, had a nice truck and came ready to work and get the job done! I am very pleased with them. I had a lot of very heavy items and they took good care of my stuff and there was not any damages.
I am confident you will be very happy with GreenLine and their staff.
Horrible customer service and finance departments.
I had Greenline Moving perform a move for me the Saturday before Christmas. When arranging for the move, I confirmed that I would only be paying for the actual amount of time that it took the crew to perform the move. The day before our move, they contacted me to put a hold on the funds for the move since our move was taking place on a Saturday and the finance office would be closed.
The day of the move, the crew showed up promptly and got to work. It was a 4 man crew and they were very fast. They were able to complete our entire move in 6 hours including a 30 minute lunch that we paid for.
After the move, the crew leader was having me sign the papers and I told him that the total amount was incorrect since it only took them 6 hours instead of the 10 hours I was quoted, $480 difference. He told me that was their minimum price and that I would have to call the office on Monday.
I contacted the office by phone and email several times over the next few weeks with no resolution and just them saying that they were working on it.
I will never use them again and definitely would not recommend anyone use them unless they like being ripped off by hundreds of dollars.
Do NOT use!!
This was one of the worst decisions I have made about my move! When I first spoke to someone at the company my estimate was around $1,200 so I planned my expenses accordingly. They were able to get my belongings in a very timely fashion, but once they got there everything was being tacked on to the estimated price. Apparently I have to pay for each step they have to take from their seat to my door, each flight they have to go up, their packing materials because yours doesn't suffice, and in order for me to pay on my card it was another $30 charge! No one in that the company told me that until of course all of my things are on the truck. After I got to my final destination and had a move in date it still took them about four days after that date to deliver my items. There was no time frame or estimates as to when my things were going to arrive, I just had to sit in an empty apartment for 4 days and wait for them to call. Apparently, this is how this company does things. Upon FINALLY receiving my stuff in my final destination, again I have to pay for them to walk 7 steps and one flight of stairs. When I took a look at my stuff after they delivered everything a couple boxes were squashed including my glass kitchen dishes, a couple pieces of my furniture looked like it had gotten wet and slightly damaged, and I was missing an important part of my furniture. The customer service throughout the whole entire experience was subpar. I worked with one lady Julie in the beginning who I enjoyed working with but for the remaining of my move I have the unpleasant opportunity in working with their quote unquote head manager April. She was rude and very short and treats you just like you are, just another check. I did file a claim against them for my missing and damaged items which is still in progress. At the end of my move it was about $1,200 more than what they quoted me for. The actual movers were not that bad that actually work with me more than the company did . The company is a money hungry ,non Customer driven black hole on wheels. Needless to say if I could have I would have walked each and every one of my items from my beginning destination to my final destination if it meant not to deal with this company.
The definition of efficiency.
If you want to know what efficiency is, just hire the movers from Green line moving. They were absolutely brilliant during my move from Baltimore, MD to Raleigh, NC. The crew arrived right on the scheduled time. They were very well equipped and got to work immediately. They packed up my 3-bedroom house in just 2 hours. It was their incredible speed and accuracy that truly impressed me. It seemed like they came, saw and conquered. The men were always helping each other out. The organization and coordination among them was brilliant. I believe the men have been working together for a long time. Their foreman, Ivan, was very experienced and knew exactly how to get the best job out of his men. I strongly recommend this company.
Poor poor.
I moved from East Coast to West Coast. Maryland to Las Vegas. This happened in 2014 of May. They have changed their name from Best time movers to This company now. If you call: The Attorney General office Brad Barlove he will be able to tell you how many customers that has made bad Correct compliments about this company. When it was Best time movers or transport they moved my entire 2300 square ft townhouse. They wrapped some of my items which still was destroyed by them. They cherry picked thorough my items and took what they wanted. They destroyed and stole my items.They moved some items around in boxes as if I would not know where I put things. They are thieves and liars. They changed the name of the company when they are in trouble. Do not let these people touch your personal items or any items at all if you value them. All of their reviews are false. I am not done writing about what they have done. I sent in all the paper work pictures of the items that was missing and destroyed. They claimed they never received it. Just please call the Attorney General or Better Business Bureau which gave them an F rating. No hassle.
Frankly, I chose Green line moving to handle my valuables during my move from Baltimore, MD to De Moines, IA because they quoted the lowest. I wasn’t expecting a lot from them. As it turned out, they were very professional. No frills like bubble wraps or ironed uniform. But they were very well trained for this job. The movers arrived right on time and they delivered my belongings in Iowa right on time as well. I am very impressed with their punctuality. I had absolutely no hassle with them.
They did it.
I was scared this time. Last moving experience of mine was a disaster. This time I could not afford to make it a mess. I went with Green line moving because they were referred by a friend. And thanks to that friend first of all. They just nullified my fear. They took over the thing and did it their way. I finally finished with all my things moved from MD to NY. They also charged me very reasonable. Therefore, I am happy that I finally made another move and this time there was no hassle. Thanks to Green line moving.
Rocked it.
Green line moving showed their standard is the highest in the market. I have used several movers in my entire life but Green line moving is the best so far. Their quotation beat the rest. Their service did the same. The smoothest possible. Without a single error they accomplished the entire thing. Their kits and skills made sure nothing goes dented or lost. Their speed ensured my bill goes down. Their friendliness made sure my family likes them the most. They actually rocked. .
Helped us in difficult condition.
Alex and his crews were well-organized, friendly and polite at all times, I have used them once before and would not hesitate to recommend them again. Really an excellent job! Nothing was too much problem. I had to arrange the move within a very short time following an unforeseen emergency and they were extremely accommodating, allaying any concerns I had. They were fast, highly professional and committed to their work. And nothing got broken. We are extremely happy with Green line moving.
Worth it.
We didn't end up using these guys for the move but the guy who came out to give us the estimate was on time, professional and had no fuss but he was the only guy who came out to actually check the apartment out prior to the move since he said he would prefer to give an estimate close to the actual cost. And the guys were spot on! No complaints! Move went extremely well with Green line moving.
Great experience.
Great experience! Given how busy things are at this time of year I was lucky to get Green line moving booked with short notice. Moving in our neighborhood is a challenge because of parking and space but the gang managed to make it happen despite not having the required time to pull permits. We had lots of detailed instructions but the move went fast and everything arrived in its place free of damage. Overall a very uneventful move and we got a great price. Definitely recommended.
