  1. Long distance move

The spokes person for the company was really smooth. He was receptive, easy to talk to, down to earth and very understanding to a nervous person moving across the country with a lot of concerns. Unfortunately after giving them a down payment (which I was told later is a red flag in itself) you lose that suave person and the realness sets in. I've come to the conclusion now after the fact, that you maybe get what you pay for. This company was cheaper, and there probably a reason for that and I should have realized this. My dates were pushed out again and again. My stuff was gone for the very maximum amount of time that the quote gave as worse case scenario. I was put off 3 times at delivery time and went without my stuff in my new house. My stuff was also clearly moved multiple times while it was gone, so there was a lot of damage. In the end imagine my disappointment when my 3 bedroom house/hundreds of items rolled up in a Uhaul stacked floor to ceiling. I could have done that myself and next time I will. What a total let down the entire experience was. And the folks handling the physical move expected large tips too lol. Horrible overall experience and I learned a lot from it. My advice, don't try to move big things. Sell your appliances and buy new on the other end. And if your quote is cheap, there is probably a reason for that. I'm not sure if there is any good way to move your life 2000 miles, but it most definitely wasn't this company.

  2. A SCAM

This company is a scam. They lied about the delivery dates and fees and made us pay more upon pick-up. They will hold your belongings hostage and then say you can pick it up if you'd like after you've moved across the country. They never answer the phone, respond to voicemails, or reply to emails. David from sales is a scam artist who purposely deceived us so we would sign a contract; his own colleague stated that he has no authority to determine delivery dates. He said our route was serviced daily and then another employee said only every two weeks. This company is an absolute mess and the owner should be ashamed.

  3. Worst movers.

This is the worst moving company ever. I was relocating from Chicago to Florida and called them because they were the second highest recommended moving coming. The customer service rep Morty Park reels you in and lie and tell you that once your furniture is picked up you will receive it at your new location in 3 days which was a lie. All money was paid in the amount of $1500 when the movers came and picked up everything nothing was owed to the company. My clothes & bed got picked up from Chicago on May 8,2019 but I didn’t get my belongings until May 24,2019. Customer service Daphne was very rude when called to ask the status of your belongings. No one ever called and told us the status of anything. I always had to call and half of the time there wasn’t an answer. Once items got to Florida the driver tried and make us sign paperwork stating we received our belongings before removing it from the truck. The police had to be called for the driver even started to bring our belongings into the house. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy and they need to go out of business.

  4. Avoid at all costs.

Please do yourself a huge favor and go with any other moving company. There is exactly one person, Destinee, who you can interact with for questions about your move. The people who pick up your items will know nothing about the whereabouts of your items. The people who are going to deliver your items will know nothing about who picked up your items and when they will actually arrive with your items. Several of your items will be broken and the movers will actually try to leave without putting your furniture back together or cleaning up what they broke. Also expect that the cost of your move will change at least 2-3 times no matter how much detail you provide. Moving is stressful enough, you don’t need this nightmare. My only regret is not checking yelp before using them.

  5. Harold Kass Worldwide Moving is a scam.

DO NOT USE HAROLD KASS WORLDWIDE MOVING. THEY'RE RUNNING A SCAM.

Hired them for a move from Chicago to CA. After having their estimator come to our house and give us a "binding" estimate, when the movers arrived, they informed us that they'd underestimated the amount of stuff, and we'd be charged an extra $6,200. $6,200! Not having any recourse since their office was not open since our move was conveniently moved from Saturday to Sunday at the last minute, we had them pack our stuff.

The next day, when I tried to contact my salesperson, Ricky, to figure out what on earth was going on, I was told he wouldn't be able to be reached for two weeks. Any pretense of them not running a scam was out the window at this point.

After I messaged the owner, Sylvie Tovy, their customer service people gave me the option to split the difference, so we'd "only" be charged $3,100 more than the estimate. In an amazing coincidence, their truck was heading out from Chicago that night, and another one wouldn't be headed out west for two weeks, so I had just a couple hours to accept it. What are the odds? Sylvie never even had the guts to respond to me personally, of course.

Oh, because semis aren't allowed on our local streets, they charged me an extra $1,600 for a 4-hour offload job into smaller trucks.

Again, DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE GET THEIR HANDS ON YOUR STUFF.

  6. Stay Away!

This company is terrible. We contracted them and spent two months in close contact with our sales rep Harold. We had been givien a 2-10 day delivery window. I have four small children and was in a hotel so timing was important. After I emailed Destinee (customer service) for an ETA I'm told there's no truck available and they would not be meeting their window. I try to call Harold only to end up speaking with Dillon (management) who tells me I'm no longer allowed speak with Harold "it's never going to happen - we don't work that way!" It's ludicrous!! Back to Destinee who tells me it's just a courtesy window, and there's nothing she can do. Only after I file a complaint with the BBB does a truck suddenly appear and my items are on the way. My husband then has a call from Mary regarding payment. We had three emails from Destinee stating we could pay by credit card. Mary laughs at my husband, tells him he is ridiculous?! I go around her, back to Destinee and low and behold I pay by cc. They are rude, dismissive and nasty. It's a complete scam. Stay away from them!!

  7. Long distance move from MN to FL.

This company does not even deserve 1 star!!
Please BEWARE!! This company is awful, they are super professional upfront. They will tell you all you want to hear, will tell you exactly the right things to suck you in and once you are all in you will regret it!! They will soak you with additional charges for EVERYTHING. They will guarantee moving times for pickup and delivery and nothing will happen as stated. READ all your small print because they will not tell you upfront about all of these extra costs and issues and once they have your personal belongs you will be out of luck and at their mercy. They will not be accessible by phone once they have your stuff, it will be late and you will pay way more than your original quote. Please pay a little more for safety, professionalism and to get your stuff picked up and delivered as promised. DO NOT USE HKWWM, you will regret it as we did and you will have way too much stress added to the moving process which is already a pretty stressful process. I can not state this anymore clearer than this company is a huge SCAM, stay away, there are way too many other reputable services out there find one that will do right by you and your family.

  8. Unprofessional. Unresponsive. Late. Substantial Last-Minute Charges.

Avoid this company at all costs. They are unprofessional and unresponsive, with the worst customer service I have received in years. My items were picked up March 30, with a 2-14 day delivery guarantee. It's April 23rd and I don't have my items, even though I was told to expect delivery last weekend (only to have their team go dark Friday afternoon until Monday morning, with calls directed to an "emergency line" that no one answers and that has a full voice mail box).

Despite asking for my receiving circumstances at least 3 times, they sent the driver in a semi-truck..which obviously doesn't fit in an apartment building loading dock. Of course it's a Sunday, so no one is available in the office. Now the driver tells me it will be an additional $230 ($0.70/cubic foot, not based on the actual cost of the truck) and he won't be able to get a smaller truck to make the delivery until tomorrow morning. Had they told me in advance that the delivery was coming in a semi-truck, I could have contacted the city for moving truck parking permits, but they did not.

Their customer service representative is generally unresponsive, provides inaccurate / incomplete information via email (when she responds), no one answers the phone at the office, and several attempts to escalate to management have failed. I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Avoid this company at all costs - while their pricing seems good at first pass, the additional fees they add upon pickup and delivery make them more expensive than most other companies, for much worse service.

  9. Don't trust their quotes.

Received a "binding" quote and agreed to it over the phone. Paid my deposit. Had issues getting their "final binding" quote, and then received a phone call from them raising the price by 25%+. They said that they hadn't "realized" where the pick-up location was, even though I provided an address and ZIP.

  10. Unsatified customer.

My advice is to avoid this company. When I had my initial conversation with them I had asked for a moving consultant to come to my home to assess my inventory. I was told that the inventory could be done over the phone and I was assured that no further costs would be added. I was also assured that the contract was binding and not to worry that over a more additions to be inventory. The day that the movers arrived, I was informed that the contract/quote was NOT binding and my rate was increased by 53%. I felt that I was completely taken advantage of due to the fact that I needed to be out of home that day because I had sold my home. The crew leader then tells my that they are hungry and he didn't want to use the truck to get their lunch. Pizzas were ordered and I ended up paying for that. And the crew leader suggested that I "tip" the rest of movers. Which I did not do. Crew leader also told me my furniture would be delivered on the agreed delivery date. I did not receive my furniture on that delivery date. It was delivered 6 days later. I did dispute these issues with their customer service representative without satisfactory results. I was told there was nothing they could do to decrease the payment. I had a choice to pay for delivery or pay for storage of my furniture. My expense for moving from Illinois to South Caroline was $3785.00 it became $5802.00. I would advise to steer clear of this company.

  11. Worst Moving Experience Ever.

My advice is to pass on this company. If you do use them, be advised that you will be required to do all of the inventory work yourself using their vague online inventory sheet. Trying to determine what is large and what is medium is ridiculous and you will get no help from them in helping you decide. I finally had to provide pictures and measurements of my furniture and they still got it wrong.. They have no clue about what you have will will need to pack into boxes yet they assign you a number of them for your move. They say that if you go over a few a boxes it is normal and not to worry. Be advises you had better worry.
I went through three different, "MOVING CONSULTANTS", until I agreed to give them a contract. After they got the contract I could not reach them again, they were either on vacation or off that day.
My last consultant was a manager named Adam. He provided the biggest lies of all of them. I was very specific in telling him that at no time was my furniture to be taken off of the truck that picked it up until it was delivered to me. He assured me that it would never be taken off the truck. He advised me when I inquired about my delivery date that I needed to ask the driver when he picked up the furniture. The driver did ask me to provide him a date that I would be available to receive my things and I gave him no more than five days. My furniture went from the pick up address directly to a warehouse in Chicago where it was stored until the 24th of September. My pickup date was the 12th of September and I received my things on the 26th.
I think it is odd that I have yet to see a truck with Kass Worldwide Moving logo on it. Best People Moving out of Chicago picked up my belongings in Michigan and delivered it to North Carolina.
The move quote I agreed to for my move from Michigan to North Carolina was $7850.00 it became $9600.00. This move was without any appliances. Plus the added expense and inconvenience of have to spend nearly $1800.00 for food and lodging I accumulated because of the delayed delivery. I would advise you to steer clear of these guys. I would not allow them to move me across the street let alone across the country ever again.
