Never use this company
Never, ever, ever, use IVL. This is the worst company I have ever worked with.
Starting from the beginning: the representative I spoke with during contracting significantly underestimated my belongings. I was quoted for a little over $8,000.
Second, my pack up and initial moving was outsourced to a third party company - Y & O Moving in the Bay Area. I knew this would be the case, but had assumed that I would at least get reputable movers. This was not the case. They did not come on the contracted day, and instead came a day late. They then failed to pack up half of my belongings, which I then I had pack myself to give to them. I watched them mis-handled my items, including denting multiple pieces of furniture, and damaging many other items. They then charged me an additional couple hundred dollars, which had not been explained, as the representative from IVL underquoted me.
My items were picked up on November 20th. I have gotten no communication when they will be delivered, except that it would be as late as January 3rd. I am currently sleeping on my floor with no way to cook, clean, or anything. I do not have the funds to buy all new items, nor would I want to as my belongings are being shipped. At this point I am considering flying back across the country to retrieve my own items, and drive them myself, as I cannot continue waiting with no updates.
The representative I am speaking to now is incredibly rude, and does not seem inclined to provide any sort of customer service other than telling me "I cannot tell you when your items will be delivered".
This is incredibly disappointing and unacceptable service. I would highly discourage anyone from ever using International Van Lines.

Very professional, efficient, and all-around friendly guys. They could complete my move promptly and be on top of everything. Along with this, they were honest about their pricing and let me know additional charges and different package based on my budget. I don't think the move could have gone smoother.

They were moving none stop and only took a 20-minute break the entire time. If you are looking for any expensive furniture of yours to be protected during a move, this is the service you'd want!

Great experience with International Van Lines and guys. Even though the move was within the city, they handled things really well, and everything was done so smoothly. No damage for any of our furniture, transparent, and efficient. Would recommend using them.

Five stars for being so impressively awful
Five stars for being the worst moving company we could’ve used. I’ll have to come back and add to my review when I have the energy but I needed to just make note to hopefully help anyone looking into a moving company. This was our 3rd cross country move in the past 2 years and it has been absolutely horrific. Customer service, communication, cost of additional prices, quality of packing our items, and then offering unpacking service only to subcontract out the job to a company who didn’t do unpacking. This company is absolute dog shit and I would never even consider using them even if someone paid me to. If you value your belongings, sanity, and appreciate good communication, reliable customer service, and assurance that your stuff is well cared for .. do NOT hire IVL.
Well Performance!
You don't realize how many things you have until you have to move them! Thankfully, guys like Walker exist to make it easy on you. He handled everything beautifully for me; each piece of furniture was wrapped in a cocoon of padding and cling wrap and loaded with Tetris precision. The unloading went quickly, but I didn't feel rushed in deciding where something should go. In fact, he happily shifted things when I changed my mind on occasion. Bottom line: professional, courteous and affordable. I'd definitely use International Van Lines again!

The movers were reliable and highly efficient. The move took less than 3 hours. Thank you, Alex, for the perfect arrangement (and excellent pricing!), and a BIG thank you to the 2 movers for a job very well done. I'll definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for fast and reliable movers.
