Inaccurate quote, broken furniture
We moved from Miami to the Washington D.C. area, and we chose Interstates because we felt like we got good customer service and attentiveness from Barry during the quote process. But that experience did not continue through the entire move. The first disappointment was the scheduled pickup day. We booked our move more than a month in advance and set a Saturday pickup. But on the Thursday before, the company called and said their Saturday was fully booked and the movers will be there on Friday (meaning we got less than 24 hours notice). Second issue was the cost. Barry repeatedly told us we would likely pay less than the quote because of how their computer system estimates the amount of space needed in the truck. But not only did we not pay less than quoted, the move cost $2,000 MORE. In hindsight, we learned that Barry's quote completely neglected to estimate the cost of any packing materials, and we ended up using more truck space than he estimated. I attempted to reach out to Barry to express my frustration, but he never responded. One bright spot was the delivery in Virginia. The moving team kept me updated on their progress and actually delivered our stuff within two hours of us getting the keys to our new home. However, they broke one piece of furniture, a desk. The movers immediately took complete responsibility for it, as they wrapped and packed up. And when we called the customer service line to discuss reimbursement, Karen was very apologetic on the phone. But then came another disappointment. After submitting photos of the broken desk to their customer service email, we were told to wait 15 business days for a response. 28 days later, we got a response pointing us to a third party settlement company. After filing the complaint again through the third-party's online system, we waited *another* six weeks before that process was finally complete. Ultimately, we got a settlement offer that was only 75% of what it should have been.

When it comes to quality and price Interstate Van Lines did a phenomenal job! There were very detailed about the services they offered and showed me everything. Upon pick up of the furniture they packed well and took care of everything that they said they would. Decided was fast! Got delivered within the week and their movers were very nice and friendly. Would use again if I ever move again!

They did a door to door service for my grandma a few weeks ago and she was very happy with their services! I would highly recommend for any state to state move!

Very happy with the services they provided, movers were very friendly and knew what they were doing. I’d recommend Interstate Van Lines got any state to state move especially if you want someone who is reliable and will cover all the fine details you will need to know to set up the move!
Stay Away from Interstates Vanlines - Near Miami
They are dishonest. They stole a few items and broke others. They stole a new Mac Computer in the original box. They cracked the screen on a TV. They charged me $2,700 per month for storage after they delivered two weeks late. They offered a whole "$50 in good faith"
The Worst long distance move. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Took over 2 weeks to get my possessions delivered and many items were broken, wet or missing. I submitted a claim as instructed. They offered $75 for hundreds of items. I am about to go for legal remedy, complaints to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Admin, and other agencies. A terrible and traumatic experience.

I had to be out of my place by the 27th of this month and after reaching out to MULTIPLE moving companies, interstates van lines was the only company that stood on what they said they could do. my wife and I are extremely happy and relieved. very grateful, the crew was amazing. thanks alot guys I hope you see this review. take care.

Thank you for helping me move from Florida to Pennsylvania on such short notice. The guys were very respectful and did a great job packing my belongings. I thought I would have some damage at the end of it all but I was wrong. Thanks again. Strongly recommend.

As I put my information online to receive trucking services for my move, Mary Baker from your company, InterstatesVanLines, contacted me to provide a moving quote. Upon hearing my plans moving forward with another company, she was astute enough to ask some questions to see if I was dealing with a reputable mover, so I would not be "taken" by a lowball quote and fall victim to methods that would cause me an unexpected problem. I want to thank Mary for caring personally enough to repeatedly call me that morning/afternoon, and see that I was provided safe and satisfactory moving services! Interstate Vanlines is amazing they are very professional and there sales team is top of the line. They helped me with my move from Florida to Geneva NY and were by far the best price and service out there. Many companies wanted my business and told me alot of prices but after other reviews I choose them. They have my business for life. Thanks so much for all u did and going the extra mile to make sure my move was easy and affordable. Hats off to the whole staff and movers..
Worst Move of my Life!! Run Quickly The Other Way!!
Please DO NOT work with this company. (its very long but I will make it as quick as I can) First they did not pack the truck tight and had to unload in the warehouse and come back a different day when I was already supposed to be moved out (this caused issues but luckily I was able to stay 4 more days until the move was complete). Then he never did an itemized list or stickers. (I asked for the list at the end and it had 5 items written on it so the contract was breached because he never provided that necessary document to us. Then the loader tried to change the amount I owed and text me the scratched out contract. UM NOPE THAT IS ILLEGAL. Then when I received my goods- I had many broken/scratched and many missing items (including most of my husbands clothes-he only received 1 of 3 wardrobe boxes) and our custom dining room arm chair plus many other things. They broke a marble dresser top right in half- its really sad all the damage that was done and all the missing items. In addition to that I have OTHER PEOPLES STUFF and they don't care I told them I have it and they have never tried to get it to its rightful owner- I have moved 30 times AND THIS IS THE WORST MOVER WE HAVE EVER HAD- they are worthless and very rude!! We have lost a lot of money in this move and they offered us $76.00 as compensation- needless to say we are taking them to court. UGH.

I am writing this review in hopes that others will find my experience useful when choosing to move with Interstates Van Lines.
From the moment they answered the first phone call to the moment they delivered my belongings was a very pleasant experience I must say.
I have had some pretty bad moves with other companies and some broken backs when I decided to move myself. SO when I heard
that my friends move was so "flawless", I just had to call and see for myself. I spoke with Reggie Collins who was my moving coordinator
throughout the whole process. He always answered or called me back whenever I had any questions, he even made sure that the drivers called
me when they were about an hour away because I was so worried due to a past experience that they would not show up, but sure enough in
50 minutes, they were there. They did a great job wrapping and loading, I did all the packing by choice. Even though I was on them
making sure that they did not scratch or dent anything, they were responsive and made sure to do things right and I can appreciate that.
I was moving to North Carolina which for me took me 2 days to get there, they gave me a window of up to 7 days after pick up and they weere there
after 3 days, so when I say AWESOME, I mean AWESOME! The price of my move never changed either, I paid what I was quoted. Everything was taken out and unwrapped and put where I wanted it put. They were careful
and learned that I was picky so were asking me and making sure I was ok with where they put everything. THey were a great group of guys
who seemed like they have been doing this forever. I highly recommend that if you decide to move with a company choose them. They did
a great job for me and I am referring them to everyone.
Don’t do it.
The workers are good they showered up and loaded my stuff on time but after that the process falls apart. No notification prior to showing up for delivery and finally not all my stuff was delivered and they are like oh well? Please save yourself a major hassle and just move on.

These guys are so sly. The sales person Rob Thomas promised white glove treatment and a binding estimate. My move should not have exceeded $5000 it ended up being over $9000. They quoted me on total weight of my goods but once they had me packed and had my stuff on the truck the quote advised me they don't go by weight they go by cubic feet and now I need to pay more. Not only that they delivered late, avoided my calls and damaged some of my furniture. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!!

Completely worthless company. Quoted me $2800 to move and it wound up being $3700. I lost at least 2 boxes of personal items as well as a glass shelf, my sound bar for my TV was stolen (packed with certain items that showed up but not the bar). IM STILL WAITING ON MY MOTORCYCLE to be delivered, even after the rest of my furniture was dropped off. Minimal communication from Brandy, they hide behind the "3-14 business days" when they can't make the first delivery date even though they were given a weeks notice. Just absolutely horrid planning, these guys are nothing more than 2 bit crooks. Pay a little more and go with someone reputable.
