Jersey Moving Pro
At first glance it seemed like a nice family moving company. Had an agent named Tibor estimate the size of the job and quote the price. It seemed fair. The day of the move the crew wrapped up the furniture and boxed our more fragile items. We boxed up everything else.
When our belongings arrived at the new location. We find that the heavier furniture now has torn fabric and damaged wood. It looked as if the furniture was dragged on the ground or scuffed around in the truck. Some of the boxes that we paid them to pack were crushed. We haven't opened all the boxes yet, but the ones we did had some breakage.
We reported this to the company but haven't had any response to this issue.
To their favor, all I can say is they moved our belongings from point A to point B in a reasonable amount of time. Maybe there were too many different crews handling the load in and out of the truck.
We our sorry we used this company.
Nightmare movers
My family was scheduled to move out of state in late June of 2021. My parents were making the same move with us. We wanted to explore moving our things together so we looked into pods and moving companies. This company came recommended through a family member so we trusted them.
I called them up and spoke to a rep by the name of Adam. He scheduled for Tibor to come to our home and do an estimate. Tibor was nice and we discussed what we planned to take- the plan was to get rid of a lot. He did his estimate, then went to my father’s home, whose stuff was mostly packed and did an estimate there. Total came to 500 cu ft. We felt it was a low estimate BUT we were assured that the day of our move, we will get our own truck and if we use more space then we get charged a set rate/cu ft.
We booked in early April for end of June.
2 weeks before our move, I call to confirm the move. I’m told Adam doesn’t work there anymore. I speak to a man who transfers me to Esther. At first they can’t locate my move but then they find it - it was in an old system and they moved to a new one. We confirm the details and I tell Esther we are adding 2 queen mattresses and a 4 burner grill. She estimates the mattresses will be about $250 additional. She also says to clean the grill out completely and the movers will pack it day of the move.
Day of the move: it’s 9:30 am and neither me or my parents have received any communication. I call the company. Esther says we are scheduled for 12-4. I tell her that we packed more than our estimate because everything went on backorder due to Covid and to make sure we get a decent size truck.
I get a text saying our move is now 1-6 pm. Mind you they have to pick up our stuff and my parents.
I call back and 3, get sent to dispatch who says someone will call me soon. 4:30 no call so I call back. Dispatch says they haven’t heard back from their foreman. I call a little after 5 and all lines say they are closed. Panic mode! We have a final walk through on our home the next morning and flights to catch the next day. I get a hold of the owners number and start texting. I’m anxious and pissed. He seems apologetic and blames it on the hot weather.
A truck arrived to our home 6:15. They begin loading our things without doing inventory. I ask them why they aren’t doing it- it was part of the agreement. They tell us they were working from 7 am on another move and we were not on their schedule abs they got a call to come to us. Great so someone else’s stuff is now on the truck and they’re using tv boxes to separate the moves! They don’t have paperwork to do our inventory. At this point I call the owner Zoltan and he’s not answering. I called 4 times- he only called me back when I threatened reporting him for false advertising . Says he doesn’t like my attitude and doesn’t need my business.
I’m heated so my husband takes over. My husband take to this guy and explains how we have been mislead and it’s not our fault they got a new system and overlooked our move. Yes we packed more, but we were low balled to begin with and we called 2 weeks prior to tell them we had some larger items coming. Husband calms jerk owner down cuz we are at their mercy. Zoltan says he’s gonna do inventory as soon as things get to the warehouse. I’m skeptical- for sure our things will get lost. Workers continue. They’re tired cuz apparently they didn’t eat all day and have been working since 7 am. My husband shows them the grill. They flip out and say you only pointed to stuff in the garage. We don’t have material or space to pack it. Then they tell us if we take the mattresses then there will not be enough room on the truck for my parents stuff at the next stopWe start trying to prioritize and throw away things like the mattresses so we can have room for important things. They get impatient and call me crazy b*tch in Spanish. My husband and I call the owner and say this is unacceptable.
He tells us we are a pain and he doesn’t want our business. Tells the guys to unload the truck. They slam our boxes into the garage and leave us stranded.
Promise you the world until they have your stuff!
Moving company did not send enough men to pack up our move therefore it took all day and they were not able to load all items in our home leaving us to find another truck to finish the job. The movers were tired and we did not feel right keeping them any longer. On the day they were to deliver, they contacted us to let us know the truck was not coming that day. They told us they would deliver the next day at 10am and did not arrive until 5pm with 2 people to empty a full truck. They lost my fathers wheelchair parts and when I inquired, they said they had to unload our goods in their warehouse first and upon reloading another truck they did not do it in the same order as we loaded causing a lot of items to get lost in the move. Most of the glass they packed was broken and we’re missing some tools and another expensive tool arrived broken. Initially when they gave me a quote, they assured me that it was the bottom line and nothing extra would be added but after they loaded our truck, they added 30% to the 5100 total and said they quoted wrong. I tried to contact them for a resolution but they have not called back. Due to he damage they caused, a lot of my fathers tools are rendered useless. My father is stuck in bed and cannot get out due to this company losing his wheelchair. They now ignore our requests for a resolution and we have to look into taking legal action against them.
Jersey Moving Pro.
Wow, where to start. We looked for movers for our relocation from NJ to FL. Adam repeatedly called my husband for our business, so we agreed. Because of COVID, we did a phone estimate instead of an in person one. When the movers arrived on 6/23 we had more than anticipated but they said it was ok, just adjusted our cost accordingly. They didn't give us a definite arrival date but said possibly as early as Saturday, 6.27. We headed to Florida the next day, and arrived here on Thurs, 6/25. By 7/1 we heard nothing and started calling looking for an update on when our belongings would arrive. We were told it would be 5-10 BUSINESS DAYS from packing date. On 7/6 we called again and were told that trouble with drivers and the 4th of July holiday were pushing things back again. We FINALLY get a call from Zolle (very, very nice man and apologetic, and did credit some of our fee back to us after we expressed such frustration) on 7/11 say we'd get our stuff on 7/15. He called back on 7/14 and said now it would be sometime between 7/17 and 7/19. The entire time we tried to speak to Adam but he would not speak to us. The truck finally arrived on Saturday, 7/18, TWENTY FIVE DAYS after leaving NJ. The movers couldn't unload our stuff fast enough. The boxes were completely crushed, a hole in the side of my dresser, lamp shades that THEY PACKED were completely crushed. I would not and could not ever recommend this company. Use at your own risk.
