  1. Dishonest & Careless

The crew placed our leather armchair upside down on gravel (ie - the leather side down!). They also broke the leg on our dining room table and didn't even have the courtesy to let us know. They wrapped nothing, it was an absurdly careless move.

Worst of all, after all of that, Andrew tried to charge me hundreds more than we agreed on (this was a flat rate long distance move). The move in took an hour longer than estimated, so I was okay with paying them their hourly rate for that, but he was asking me to pay much more than that. Worst of all, even though I was the one who had taken notes on what we agreed on and had asked him to put it in writing (he never did), Andrew accused me of misremembering what we had agreed on. He is the epitome of unprofessional and I'm eager to read his characteristic reply.

  2. Totally Ripped Off

I’m not one to leave reviews but I feel cheated by Joe’s Moving. I booked with them because I had read reviews and heard good things so I was surprised by my experience with them. They were understaffed (totally understandable for the time we are living in right now) so they sent two men, one with experience and a 16 year old that had never done the job. I was quoted 3 hours, as I really do not have that much stuff and I thought that was perfect. When they got to my house, as I was showing them what to move I kept getting the feeling that I was asking too much. The 16 year old was on his phone (I have a video of it because I didn’t want my complaint to seem unwarranted) even though I was paying by the hour. After almost 5 hours of slowly loading the truck, I just told them to take what they had loaded and I would move the rest myself because it was taking so long and about to break my bank account. It took them almost 6 hours to finish the job. I called Andrew afterward and even he was surprised by how long it look and offered me a $100 refund. After waiting a few days, I checked in with Andrew about the refund and he left my message on read and I did not receive anything. I waited another week to reach out, and again, he read my message and never responded. My sister used All My Sons Moving, she had twice the amount of stuff as me and lived 45 minutes away from the new house and they did the job in less than 3 hours and were so friendly and kind. I showed them the stuff I had and told them my experience with Joe’s and they were appalled. I was completely taken advantage of and I’m so disappointed in this experience. I had to get help the next day to move the rest of my stuff because they couldn’t finish the job.

  3. Needed movers during bad weather.

We had two large fully packed pods and no one to empty them so they could be ready for pick up day. With only a moment’s notice Andrew (manager) arranged quickly to unload both pods that same day!! They were Efficient and careful. Extremely reasonable fee! Thanks Andrew??

  4. Overcharged.

OVERCHARGE!! WHAT SHOULD HAVE TAKEN 4 OR MAYBE 5 HOURS TOOK 13.75 HOURS OVER 13OO.OO DOLLARS. Manager of new facility said other companies would have been done in 4 or 5 hours.

  5. Top notch local and statewide mover.

Excellent customer service from the booking of the service to the move. They were on time and worked very hard. They finished in less time than expected and nothing was broken. I would recommend Joe’s moving company to anyone who is looking to move:

    Thank you for awesome service.

  6. Worse Moving Experience Ever.

Hired to load a full Budget truck. Brandon was fine,Other gentlemen was mentally Ill, I believe Joes Packed us up on Friday, August 21st. Brandon, the lead was fine. However the other gentlemen, the owners supposed brother is truly mentally ill, and perhaps belongs in an insane asylum. Over 50 times he stated that the boxes are not packed correctly, and that it took a 100 dozen pads to move correctly. I have moved over 34 times in my life, but this was the worst nightmare imaginable I understand that this company just changed ownership, but I would not advise anyone to use them. All the fine furniture is nicked and scratched, new powder-coated metal dining room chairs are trashed. I had very valuable antique oil paintings that were punched through`. Thinking seriously of returning to Albuquerque to bring a lawsuit against them. DON'T USE THEM!

  7. Joe's Moving, Inc.

Joe's Moving packed the contents of our entire kitchen.  One cabinet of dishes was left behind.  Andrew (General Mgr) shipped the 2 boxes via UPS.  He assured me items were packed well.  I asked that he insure the shipping.  Items were not wrapped in bubble wrap, boxes were not marked "fragile" and were not insured.  When I called and e-mailed Andrew regarding the broken bowls, platters, plates, etc. I received no response.  I contacted the Better Business Bureau in NM, who in turn, contacted Joe's Moving.  They denied they had moved us, even though I have many e-mails back and forth from Andrew (the owner's son) regarding our move.  Since they insisted on cash, I had no credit card recourse.  I would not recommend using Joe's Moving under any circumstances!
