  1. LB Moving/Margaret Drayton.

The operators of carriers (State to State and Direct Van Lines, both out of New York) that have been used by LBMG were recently indicted in federal court in NY. I am investigating whether there is more than a mere superficial business relationship between Drayton/LB and the Nadels (owners/operators of the carriers under indictment).

Someone also mentioned a bankruptcy filing of LB. I can find no indication that LB has filed bankruptcy. If LB is making representation to avoid paying a claim, and you believe that the scheme of the carriers extends to Florida, you should contact the US Attorney's office handling the prosecution of the carriers (Eastern District of NY, Case No. 1:19-cr-00943-ENV) as well as the Florida and Colorado Attorneys' General offices.

  2. Complete SCAM. Ripping people off.

LBMG are scamming people. The moving company they contracted with caused 2K in damages, then filed bankruptcy—LBMG still refused to help me. Filing complaint with BBB was ignored by LBMG. BBB rating is an F. On 6/12/17 I received a quote of $4,164.16 for 1001 cubic feet of space from Dylan. The origin/destination charge was $1000 and I was told that I only pay for the space I use—leading me to believe all of the subcosts are based on cubic feet. On 6/28 I spoke with Chloe to add multiple items to the list. To reduce costs, we removed several items. Chloe told me I could reduce costs to $5000 by reducing space back to 1001 cubic feet, because “you only pay for the space you use.” The resulting quote that day was for $6868.22 for 1495 cubic feet. I provided Chloe with exact measurements for everything on the list. The origin/destination charge was $2275. I had paid $2,339.16 in deposits.
On 7/5 I emailed Chloe about how the refund works if we reduced the space to 1000 cubic feet. She responded on 7/6, “my suggestion would be to keep it as is because reservation of space is the main priority.” When I asked her to clarify if that meant that the move would be canceled, she responded, 3 days before the pick-up window (7/11) on a Saturday evening, “If you want to update the inventory list, you are welcome to do so.” This left me fearful I would lose my pick-up date so I did not update—knowing I could not get a response back until at least Monday—1 day before the pick-up window. On 7/12, pick-up day, I had removed over 500 cu ft from the inventory list, supposedly reducing space to 1000 cu ft. Per previous conversations with Chloe, the cost should have been about $5k. After the truck was loaded, movers claimed it was 1375 cu ft. NO subcosts were adjusted besides the cu ft charge. I called Kaitlyn & was told that the other charges are static—they do not change with cubic feet on pick-up day (only if I had made changes ahead of time)! She claimed I was naïve for not knowing how the charges were calculated, despite the fact that I had only ever been told that I only pay for the space I use and it wasn’t explained ANYWHERE. I argued LBMG had grossly underestimated my space because according to them, I should have been back down to 1000 cu ft. She refused to admit that costs weren’t clearly explained, and that they made a mistake in calculating cu ft—claiming the discrepancy was because some boxes were larger than quoted. ALL the boxes were in a storage space of less than 600 cu ft—less than the originally quoted space for them. Regardless of whether some were larger (which I debate), I told LBMG how much space ALL of the boxes COMBINED would take up when I updated my inventory list with Chloe. To avoid extra charges from the moving company (which had a D rating with BBB), I had to pay $6518 that day. Kaitlyn said she could “break the rules” and get me a discount of $400—I was overcharged by at least $2500! I finally received an email from Kaitlyn on 7/26, 2 weeks later, with a non-disclosure statement I had to sign to receive the “discount”, stating I would not post negative feedback anywhere.
I attempted continued negotiations via email—phone conversations are consistently ignored. I sent over 30 emails in 3 months. To gain a response takes 3-5 emails and up to 14 days. Then, the process restarted because they underwent “restructuring” and I was passed off to Chloe. Chloe continued to make the same statements as Kaitlyn—dismissing my arguments. Never a recognition of any wrong doing , only an apology that I was “dissatisfied.” On 8/17, I requested to speak with Margaret B Drayton—Business Manager. I was not provided ANY contact information until 9/19 after 10 emails. Chloe said Margaret didn’t have a phone number and I had to use lbmovinggroup@gmail.com—which I used before with no response. I requested verification that it was a DIRECT line to Margaret. Chloe never verified. I emailed Margaret at that address on 9/27 with no response.

  3. Zero Stars.

They do not tell you in the initial call that they are brokers. They collect a deposit and unknown to you the farm the job off to an actual moving company. Mine I found out had an F rating with the BBB as does Liberty Bell bow L/B moving group I Still Have not received my furniture or any thing after one year. They promise in their contract door to door service. They were not upfront with me.

I pray that God forgives them as I have forgiven them. It was just stuff. I would never use them again.

  4. Do Not believe the positive reviews - this business is a SCAM.

Refer to the BBB for true reviews about this company - they have an F rating and are not accredited with the Better Business Bureau. Also refer refer to the 0/1 star reviews Beleive me all positive reviews for LB Moving Group are false reviews!.

  5. Has anyone sued ?

Want to sue this company for what they put me thru. Ive noticed they changed names again. Need lawyer number who knows this situation. Please contact me asap. Please help.

  6. Liberty Bell Moving Group, LLC; Hope Moving and Storage, LLC, & More.

Before you decide on Liberty Bell Moving Group, or LB Moving Group (whatever they've decided to call themselves today), or Hope Moving and Storage, or Legacy Van Lines or other believe-me-related Florida moving LLC, check out this website: https://www.bizapedia.com/people/margaret-drayton.html. Then once you see all the businesses managed by this individual, go to the BBB, MyMovingReviews.com, Yelp Reviews, etc. and check out the ratings (and believe me, read only the BBB summaries and one-star ratings) for each of these companies. I hired one (with a fairly good reputation when I started my research (since then (August 2018) it's ratings have gone to pot too), but I was unaware of the other companies at that time), and the minute I gave them my electronic signature on the initial agreement, all the promises, agreements, conversations, etc. went to **. Don't be surprised if you sign an agreement with one company and one of these others bills you. And then you haven't even begun to deal with the rip-off mover the LLC hires (of which you have no say until it's too late; well, never). Save yourself $1000s and months of frustration filing complaints and writing negative reviews and run from everyone of these companies. You'll deal with the same people whether they're in Ormand Beach or Sarasota, Florida. And if you insist on hiring one of these companies, document every conversation via e-mail. What you're promised over the phone is about as far from the truth as it can possibly be. I would say more, but then the agreement I finally signed for a refund of part of my "broker fees" after three months of fighting might be void, except the agreement was with one of the LLCs, while Liberty Bell was doing part of the billing. Now, dealing with the actual mover with whom you had no say is a different "hell" altogether.

  7. Do NOT believe positive ratings.

One star is too much. Oh, they will promise you the world and tell you that they are cheaper because they are needing to fill a load coming through your area or because they just do things more efficiently. The worst experience moving EVER, and I have moved many times across the US. I interviewed them extensively before hiring them, and have documentation of lies told. They will attempt to hide behind their subs, saying “go sue them,” but they failed in every aspect, to uphold language in the binding contract that is directly attributable to them, and not their subs.

liberty bell moving group (now, LB Moving Group) was caught in bald-faced lies, defrauded me (presenting falsified scale tickets then telling me that they would refund any overpayment), demanded unsubstantiated additional deposits under duress (day before loading), failed to follow thru on ANY of their contractual obligations. We suspect that names used..Bill Jones, Robert Jones, Alicia Jones and Kevin Jones..were aliases.

I paid the deposit online based on a promise of 24/7 access and turn key service..yet did not get a call back or email reply to dozens of attempts for two weeks at which time they demanded more money based on “incorrect inventory”. I was quoted 3200, and in the end paid 6400..even though my load came in EIGHT pounds under the initial inventory that I provided to them!!

LB Moving Group agrees to certain terms and conditions, such as itemized inventories, excellent customer service, disassembly, provision of specialty packing materials etc AND that the customer will pay by freight OR volume. The movers didn’t even have a screwdriver for use in disassembly, or the big screen box that we paid for in advance. LB said they would refund that money..but didn’t. In our case, we contractually agreed to pay by freight (ie, pounds); yet, the scale tickets they forced me to pay at destination had been inflated (I routed the moving truck through our local co-op, and obtained certified scale tickets.) Their gig is that they have their sub weigh the truck before offloading other customers items before arriving, then present you with the inflated bill of lading. I refused to pay the inflated ticket, but LB instructed to truck to stay loaded, and to leave in ten minutes if I didn’t pay, with my household goods, to Chicago!!

I have spent hours, days, weeks on this..sued and WON in small claims, registered proceedings and lien certificates in Florida and Colorado and have affidavits from leading professionals in the freight industry (yes, there IS an organization that oversees industry ethics and they will assist). They continue the lies and diversion tactics.

Any positive ratings are by decoy and completely false.

Do not use LB Moving Group, AKA Liberty Bell Moving Group, they are a moving broker and assign a moving company on your behalf, in our case STATE TO STATE MOVERS NY.
They quoted $9190 for our move, final amount was $17 426.01. They offered a $2000 CR for the inconvenience, pain & suffering we received, on condition that we sign an agreement not to make any negative or disparaging statements against LB MOVING GROUP LLC, we opted NOT to accept the Credit as we feel that it is important that the public is made aware of their poor business practices. This company is NOT in the moving business, if they were they would have an insight into the fact that moving is very stressful, instead, they add to the stress by lying, being dishonest and over promising and under delivering. We finally received our furniture, lots of broken, damaged and missing pieces, and furniture that does not even belong to us!

PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE THESE POSITIVE REVIEWS. THIS COMPANY AND THEIR ASSOCIATIONS ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF SCAMMING.

  9. **DO NOT USE LB MOVING GROUP, AKA Liberty Bell Moving Group.

    8/13/2018
Do not use LB Moving Group, AKA Liberty Bell Moving Group. They are the most unprofessional company we have ever worked with, our relocation from CA to SC has been a complete nightmare. We only found out on the day of our relocation that they are brokers & when things go wrong with the company that they have assigned to move you they take no responsibility. I should have done more research, I have subsequently found out that they have an F rating with the BBB and that they are not accredited with them either. In addition, they have received 64 complaints against them in the past 12months. This is not our first relocation, we have moved internationally & state to state so we are familiar with the process. They under quote, when I questioned why their pricing was lower than 5 other quotes I received, I was told that they utilize DOT software & that their quoting was more accurate, I have subsequently found out that all moving companies use the same software. I even gave Crystal Zaccagnini the weigh & CF from the other companies & she told me that we were receiving a 65.88% discount because they had an empty truck that they needed to fill from CA to SC. I then asked her to include an additional 1000lbs. Do not be fooled by their special discounts, they under quote to lure you in & then on the day you must find the extra cash, by then your furniture is loaded & you have no choice. To date we have not received a final invoice or a response to the multiple e-mails we have sent Sam Galluzzi with our questions. We were quoted 1 month of free storage and thereafter $500pm, we have now been told it's $1700 pm & our furniture is sitting in NY. On the day of the move 2 guys from State to State Moving NY who were unprepared for our move arrived late in 2 small budget trucks, we were told by Crystal our goods would be transported in a 18-wheeler. I phoned LB & spoke to Neal Jones, expressing our concerns he assured me not to worry. The packing & loading was supposed to take place 6/26 AND 6/27 & we were supposed to leave CA for SC at 7am on 06/28 to make the drive where my husband was starting his new job on 7/2. By 8:30pm on the night of 6/27 they were nowhere near finished, the driver said they had asked for help and that they would be back at 6am to finish off & we would still make our 1st nights hotel accommodation. Again, we called LB, spoke to Shannon & expressed concern, she assured us not to worry & she would call us back, she never did. The driver never arrived as promised, we were on the phone to Shannon for 4 1/2 hrs trying to track down the driver, more concerning was that they were unable to get hold of the moving comp. they had assigned! They finally arrived at 12:30pm (6hrs late) with 4 unexperienced HS students, when I asked Charles why they were late, & why did he not respond to our calls he became confrontational & told me he didn't care. We subsequently found out that he told his boss that he had been packing until 12:30am. They finally finished packing & loading at 9:43PM,we were then handed a piece of paper & told that we had to pay an additional $5738 This was in addition to the $3240.99 deposit & $2975 money order payment we had, the move was going to cost us more than double the quoted amount of $9190. At this point we were a day late, we had lost our hotel booking, & had nowhere to sleep. My husband landed up starting his job later and lost pay because of it. We have been trying to get our furniture delivered for 3 weeks to SC, from State to State NY. Every week we get told by Joe they can't confirm a delivery date because they are too busy, with other deliveries, so we wait, they don't put anything in writing, so it is hard to plan . We are paying for an apartment & a storage unit we can't use, my daughter starts school on 8/20. Sam Galluzzi at LB tells me today 8/13 that our furniture will be delivered on Thur or Fri, this week, when I ask if this is definite I am told "no promises, everything is strictly estimates" BEWARE, there is no such thing as a good deal, do not use this company!

  10. I needed that!

I will consider relocating with you again. I felt good using your services the last time I hired you out. The relocations were so affordable and everything went according to plans. I appreciate the fact that I was able to move from Rhode Island to Mississippi without any trouble. Your team proved to be so helpful. I am looking forward to future wonderful relocation experiences with you. The relocation services were ok. I am particular, I loved how my refrigerator and other electronics were handled. The team was very careful not to cause any damage. I thank you for that.

  11. Now, I believe.

Everything is true, now I believe. I learnt about Liberty Bell Moving Group through a relocation review. The clients had talked so well about them. Without making closer considerations, I hired them out. I needed to feel the experience on my own and I am grateful that they made it happen. Keep up the good work. It is the type of Relocation Company I would like to help me when I will be moving anytime in future. I enjoyed their services and the associated relocation costs were within manageable ranges. I am an also grateful because they were able to keep their word. The actual relocation charges were not so different from the quotations. I adore you!

  12. Terrible company.

Do not do business with this company. The salesperson will tell you anything you want to hear to get your business. After you sign the contract and give a deposit then things go seriously downhill. We cancelled our move with Liberty Bell because we could not get anyone from the company to call us back for several days right before the move. We didn't know if anyone would show up and if they did what they would do with our furniture. These people should not be in business. We had to rent a u-haul and move everything ourselves.

  13. They seem not to disappoint.

I loved so much about that relocation company. I was amazed by their high commitment levels. They stay committed to the form work start until the end. They kept true their promise of timely relocations due to the high levels of dedication displayed. Keep up the wonderful work! If it is Liberty Bell Moving Group, I can believe. If it is their crew involved in the relocations, I can be certain of flawless and reliable services. They have done it twice and their consistency in delivering awesome relocation work was amazing. They seem not to disappoint. Cheers!

  14. Fraud Business.

NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They falsely claim contract terms and when the mover shows up at house, they want to charge me way more. I signed a contract with them to move my household items from North Carolina to California when Ashley Fletcher called me and stated that they would charge me based on the actual weight of my household items. One week before the scheduled move, Timothy Broderick calls me to increase my deposit, stating that he is just making sure that the truck has more room reserved for me and also promised that the final price will still be based on the actual weight of my household items.

The movers came to my home and they decided that they wanted a flat price and additional stairs fee (even though my quote already included a stairs fee). When I called the customer service of this company, they tried to manipulate the issue and said that mover is going by the rules and I am not.

When I explained to the team that I did not agree to such terms, they said they would arrange a different mover before my flight on 12th of July at 8am. They never called me. I had to call every day to check and they kept stating that movers will be at my home the next day until 11th of July. On 11th of July at 2pm, Sam from their company called me and stated that they cannot dispatch movers before my flight. I talked to their customer service head Jessica and she would not refund my deposit even though it was their mistake of not setting up the movers according to the contract terms.

This has been my worst experience. I fortunately have enough documentation on emails for this communication and will end up filing complaints against them.

Please make sure you look at the consumer complaints filed against this company before you sign up a contract with them.

  15. Forever in my Memory.

I am not sure the next time I will be relocating from this Massachusetts apartment. However, there is one thing that is guaranteed, I will hire out Liberty Bell Moving Group. The services they offered me were great. I relocated from Delaware to in a very peaceful way. My properties were nicely packed in the van and relocated without any one of them being damaged. They were very careful with all my properties and I would like to thank them for that. In particular, I love how they handled my refrigerator and big screen. They worked in unison carrying these properties and carefully placed them in the awaiting lorry. After arrival, they removed them with the same level of professionalism and arranged them nicely where I had shown them. It was amazing. I look at my house and all I see is the glory.
