This company I had used in the past when I moved from a 3 story house to the 7th floor apartment that I am moving from. So now I am moving from my 7th floor apartment to the 2nd floor townhouse and I call make reservations and they show up with an attitude. They don't want to carry a couch down 7 flights of stairs - they complained and moaned/groaned with my 80 year old father about this. This employee who was pouting and huffing/puffing though out the move slowed the whole process down. I ended up paying $ 700.00 just the for the move. They still didn't move my couch, dish rack, trash can and a couple other items. I call and talk with the manager Renate Kawakami, she was real apologetic and told me that they would pick up the other items for free and bring them to my house. Well there was an agreement between the owner and my dad that they would pick it up tomorrow because it was late in the day - this is due to their employee grumbling about everything on this move. Then when the next day came I got charged another $ 320.00 (a minimum charge) I called Renate Kawakami and talked with her and she remembered what she told me but she said she needed to find out what happened. Guess what she told me she would call back and never did.. Stay away from Johnny the Movers or Malama Moving.. They are bad news..My first move cost $ 760.00 and then to finish the job cost me another $ 320.00..
Remember do not use Johnny the movers or Malama Moving.
