  1. Movers, damage, dishonesty, claim.

This company is a total mess. Do not use it.
1 - They began by lowballing a quote to get my business.
2 - Then they sent a couple of guys with no moving experience - just big, husky guys - who damaged every piece of wood furniture that I shipped. They did not bring any furniture padding with them.
3 - They also placed a glass TV stand on top of a metal ramp and were surprised when they arrived at my new house and the glass was broken.
4 - They also quoted me a crate job for a large tempered glass table top that was to be included in the price. When the crater hadn't shown up prior to moving day, I called and they said it would be extra. I said no, it was included in the quote. I agreed to split the extra cost with them. They were supposed to credit me back half the cost of the crating job since they had already billed me for it. The credit never showed up on my card.
5 - I tried to file a claim but they refused to pay.
6 - Finally to top it all off, the moving guys had the audacity to judge me because I had a mounted buffalo head - he didn't think it was okay to hunt and told me I was wrong for doing so.
In summary, this company and these people are unprofessional, ignorant of basic moving techniques leading to extensive damage, and dishonest in their quotes and claims. Don't ever ever use them!!

  2. Mango Mistreatment!!

BREACHED CONTRACT! PROMISED REFUND by CFO KRISTEN of 900 dollars as a part of the delay and MANGO refused to pay after delivery occured. Pick up four days late and delayed my move by a week and cost me hotel rooms plane tickets as a result of showing up with a lawn trailer a third full to move a two bedroom house! DETAILS BELOW. I am military do not recommend use by military personnel! WARNING WARNING WARNING,. PICTURES SPEAK 1000 WORDS !I got involved with a second party moving company, Mango Moving Company. My order number was MT-Q-0014766.  I was originally promised by the customer sales(Veronica Suarez) team that the pick up date would be on the 14JAN13 and the delivery date would be the 18JAN13. On the 15JAN13 a third party mover showed up with a 23 foot lawn equipment trailer that was a third full attempting to move my belongings.  The estimate that was provided to Mango was fair and expected to be less than 6000lbs.  I met those requirements as the contract states that this was considered a flat rate move. The (third party)movers were clueless as to the specific details discussed between myself and Veronica and Mango Movers. The movers were going to attempt to shove my belongings in the limited space remaining in the small trailer (23 ft a third filled)  per the contract most lines were suppose to be 70 foot tractor trailer units. I was guaranteed a  40 foot by my moving coordinator Abrahim. What arrived was a fairly old F250 with a drop door pull trailer suitable for lawn equipment.  Not for moving homes. After debating with the company and its third party movers for 7hrs the third party mover claimed that he would not be able to pick up until four days later 18JAN13. Considering that my itinerary was  already set, I was forced to lose a plane ticket  was scheduled to depart Reagan international on the 21JAN13. In addition, I had to pay for a 100 dollar increase in hotel costs because of the short cancellation time frame and limited on the weekends.  All of which were highlighted to (Chystal and Abrahim and Veronica)  at the time the delay was realized. In order to keep the move  Veronica promised a discount on the second portion of the move and reimbursement for any additional cost that I incurred as result. After my discussion with the Mango Movers reps it seemed as though they were going to do thier best to ensure that the delivery was going to arrive on the new agreed on date of the 21JAN13 with a pick up date of 18JAN13, which was four days behind the agreed contract date. On the 18JAN13 the movers showed up with a 40 foot trailer as promised a third full again.  This added another stressful and ridiculously painful experience to what had been a very ill fated attempt by mango Moving company to correct a horrible situation. Upon arrival of these movers I was told by the movers that they did not work for Mango Moving or the original third party mover (oasis) and that they were subcontracted by Oasis to move my belongings. I immediately contacted Mango (Abrahim or Ibrahim) with this information and they again apologized and said that was against thier own moving policy and that they were going to penalize Oasis the contracted third party mover. While the movers from Hulk moving company that were subcontracted by Oasis who were contracted by Mango were professional and of better quality it was very concerning.  The remainder of the delivery went as promised as but Mango did not provide reimbursements  for my additional expenses nor did they provide the discounted amount as promised.  Instead, they did not call me to finalize the payment amount and charged the full amount. I am requesting the dispute based on the breech of initial contract by not loading on time and final charge should have been discounted per my agreement with Mango after a terrible moving experience and delay that cost me a total of $1000 dollars of time, pane ticket loses, and increases in hotel costs. I am asking to settle these issues with Mango and to refund the last incorrectly charged mango made to my usaa credit card.

  3. Scammed.

I found these movers through PODS. At first, I was so excited to get such a great price for such a long distance move. However my mood was quickly changed. First they tried to tell me I would have to pay more based on the weight when they initially said it was a guaranteed rate.. no one even came to my house to see what I had. And it was under the weight capacity (per the truck driver). They were unable to tell me the actual pickup date until the day before. They told me someone would contact me about a time. No one did. The truck driver just showed up at my house and we waited over an hour for the movers to get there. My destination apartment had very narrow roads so they told me I would have to shuttle my stuff from a distant location since the 18 wheeler wouldn't fit. They said this would be an additional $300. But they debited $500 from my debit card two weeks after my move without contacting me or making sure this was ok. I tried contacting them to discuss the amount. it took them four days to call me back! I had to call them multiple times each day to even get anywhere. They sent me a copy of the contract I supposedly signed; the amount was typed as$300 but they had crossed it out with pen and wrote in $500. Too bad I lost my copy (or I may have never even gotten one) because I would be on these guys for contract fraud.
Moving is so expensive and I know its easy to just pick the cheapest way but do yourself a favor and just pay for the professionals! Good luck.

  4. Happy with my move.

Basically, my stuff arrived on the day stated and a few minutes before the front end of the "range" I was given for them to arrive.  Mango Moving wasn't the cheapest, but the were close.  I spent more than four thousand dollars movng but that seemed the going rate.  Mor importantly they moved me quickly.  Moving from a KC suburb to Houston shouldn't take that long, right?  Well apparently so, I had estimates of 15 and 40 days.  BS.  So, I'm glad my things got there when they did and it wasn't scratched or broken.  .

  5. Pretty easy experience.

I found this company online for my move from Denver.  They had three different types of quotes, I had them pack and drive. Four days was a decent turnaround but I'm impatient and wanted it sooner!  They got it set up for just over $7,500 and that was the lowest of the three quotes I'd seen.  They sub-contracted out to other movers but they were friendly and professional - they covered their shoes in my house and overall were pretty polite.  I also liked that they guaranteed to match the lowest price, but since they were the lowest anyway I didn't bother.  They gave me a bunch of boxes as well.  This was the first move I've had where I wasn't really frustrated - and I've moved three times in the past 5 years unfortunately.

  6. Very Happy Customer!!

We were fortunate to find movers in such short notice when we decided to relocate from Mesa, AZ to Boston, MA. Their inventory checklist of all our items was helpful, as well. Professional movers (although my husband forces me to post they arrived approx 45mins after their window :/ ) and courteous service that was delivered in one piece! Thank you Mango Moving!

  7. Aweful.

I hired this company to load my pod storage container. My move was scheduled for 11 am on 7/31/12 (when I booked this service week before my move, I told the company how important it was that they be on time since I had to drive from chapel hill, NC to new york city by myself right after they told me that this was not a problem and that they would be there on time). At 11:30 am that day when the movers were nowhere to be seen I called the company. They didn't contact me, and they said that my move had been pushed back to 6 pm that evening! They claimed to have called me a few days prior to my move, but I had no missed calls or messages from them. I explained that I needed the move to be sooner since I had to drive 8-9hrs after everything was packed. They said that the mover could be there anytime between 4-6pm and that there was nothing they could do about it, but that they would probably be there closer to 4 pm. At 4 pm I called to check on the eta and they said that they would be at my place really soon. At 5 pm I called again to check. Again they said that the movers would be at my place shortly. At 6 pm I called back yet again they said that the movers were 5 min away. At 7 pm they said the same thing. At 8 pm they said the movers would be here soon. I told them that it was late and that I needed to get some food (I had been waiting in my packed apartment all day waiting and had no food), so they would need to come at 7 am. They said they would see what they could do. They called back at 8:45pm to tell me someone would definitely be at my place at 9 am 8/1/12. At 9 am the next day there were no movers so I called them yet again (they never called me once) they said the movers they hired were running late and couldn't be at my place until 11 am 8/1. When the movers showed up they informed me that mango moving company didn't even send them my address until 9:30 am that day! Throughout this whole process, they were rude, and could really careless about my move. When I called to complain about the service a director named Scott actually said to me that "If the company didn't care about your move, we just wouldn't have shown up at all. I mean your move is complete isn't it!" I was obviously appalled by this. I mean, what service based company actually thinks like that? Since my lease ended on 7/31, I had to pay an extra day’s rent for my apartment I had to buy dinner and breakfast since I had no food at my place and I had to get a hotel room for the night since my apartment was completely packed up. They only offered me $50 in financial compensation for all of this. This was the worst moving experience I have ever had! Never ever use this company!

  8. Late - Again.

Mango Customer Service - GoodPacking Provider - GoodMoving Provider - EPIC FAILOriginal pickup date 9/10 July 2012 - scheduled for 9-11am 9 July 2012. Transportation provider did not call Mango to reschedule the appointment until 11 July 2012. Request to reschedule was for 12 July 2012. Homeowner could not be available on 12th due to flight to destination on 11th. 9. Horrible Experience!

Do not, under any circumstances, use this company!  First, they are not an actual moving company.  They are brokers that attempt to ‘broker’ your move for a random price they just make up. However, if they cannot broker the deal, they will just leave you hanging without so much as an apology!  We booked a move with them more than 3 weeks in advance.  Two days before our Monday move, on a Saturday around 2pm, they called to tell us they can’t find a driver!  So, we should probably make other plans!  We were moving 2000 miles across country!  My car had already been shipped and my airline tickets already purchased so we could not change the move date! And they gave us less than 48 hours, on a weekend, during moving season, to find new movers!  Of course, since we were in a pinch, we got a quote that was almost 3 times the price Mango quoted!  And ultimately, we had to pay almost $10,000 to move instead of the $3,500 mango quoted!  They are a horrible, irresponsible, unethical business that does not care about leaving a customer in the lurch, even if you have done everything they asked, including paying almost the entire amount quoted in advance! DO NOT USE THEM!  .
