  1. Shane Bratsch

The packers looked like day laborers. No logo or uniform on them. Many items were packed poorly and haphazardly with little or no wrapping. Many items not wrapped but thrown in the truck. The sad part is this move was from an apartment into a long-term storage unit. Our possessions were just thrown in the storage unit without regard for what the item was. Boxes that clearly had up arrows were on they're side, boxes that were labeled fragile were packed on the bottom or with extremely heavy boxes or furniture on top of them in some cases. Obviously many items were damaged beyond repair and were irreplaceable in a few instances. I would not recommend using this company and the office or dealing with Shane Bratsch.

  2. Movers--no Way!

Here I am moving again and I will NOT BE USING MILLS VAN LINES!! It was such a horrible experience in 2011 and it all came rushing back in when I met my Allied Vans rep today. UNLIKE MILLS - she was very honest and reviewed the insurance as well as tariff laws! They will blanket wrap or shrink wrap EVERY piece of furniture I own. They will blanket wrap my granite table tops and glass table tops and put them IN MY CAR AT NO EXTRA CHARGE!!
THANK YOU ALLIED FOR RESTORING MY FAITH IN MOVERS!

  3. Total move.

The packers looked like day laborers. No logo or uniform on them. Many items were packed poorly and haphazardly with little or no wrapping. Many items not wrapped but thrown in the truck

Delivery was late and one crate was left behind.

Delivery was finally found and then delivered 5 days late. I had to bring my own items into my house. Delivery man was alone, a violaton of OSHA rules and laws. Delivery man broke a large branch off of the tree in the yard with his truck.

Do not use this company. They cannot even agree amongst themselves at what their rules are for pick up and delivery.

  4. Damage to my lawn & driveway.

On July 22nd Mills Van lines moved my neighbor into their house, unfortunately while positioning their truck they jumped the curb in front of my house and did damage to my lawn and driveway. When I contacted Robert Mills he passed me off to a Kelly Mills who informed me they weren't liable because they were regulated by the US DOT. When I informed her the US DOT has no authority over my private property and they (Mills) they had no right to be on my property she had no response. When I asked for her insurance information to file a claim she refused (isn't this illegal?). While finally several months later Rober Mills contacted me (only after I filed complaints with the GA & OH Attorney General's Office, the BBB and the US DOT) to say he needed 5 business days to research and would contact me - guess what, the day he promised he'd contact me has come and gone dispite my repeated attempts to contact him. I filed a claim with my homeowners insurance - I can only assume the $470 Liberty Mutual estimates it'll cost to repair the damage is needed much more by Mills Van Lines than it is by me..it's a shame a nationwide mover (and a franchisee of a very well respected moving line-Allied) is in such a difficult situation and they need to keep hiding from me rather than discussing the matter in an honorable way (especially given the small amounts we're talking about) Not sure I'd trust them with my household goods - I've been moved 5 times professionally and never had an issue with a damage claim however I'm not sure I'd expect the same to happen with Mills as a result of my experience with them.
