  1. Dishonest Moving Company.

I hired Mont-Rose/Mayflower to move me in state. For the most part the move went great. The problem came when I had damaged items and filed a claim. Everything was taken care of with no issues except my computer. It had been dropped on its corner and broke the door and did some internal damage. I was told that according to the Public Utilities Commission rules, they were not liable for internal damage. I fought with the back and forth over many emails. I had a "self built" computer and "could not establish value" so it's not covered. I pulled everything out and made a list of the current used cost of every component that made up the computer. They had nothing to say about that. I even asked that they get it looked at to be less expensive on them.
I felt forced into signing my release of liability thinking there was nothing I could do. While I was waiting for them to issue my check I wrote another review on Yelp. Someone from Mayflower was nice enough to investigate my issue to see if there was anything they could do to help. The management told them that I had already cashed my check so they could not reopen my claim. When really they hadn't even sent out the check.
They lied to get out of reopening the claim. Aside from lying to me about the PUC rules (they are liable for internal damage if there is evidence of external damage) and lying to Mayflower about me cashing my check, they also had the audacity to add "Pay Please" on my release of liability when showing copies to the BBB and the PUC. This company is not to be trusted in ANY way and I'd stay as far away from them as possible. They have no issues with lying and intentionally not giving their costumers the proper information when it comes to what is and isn’t covered.
