  1. Montgomery Movers.

    I hired Montgomery Movers in November 2009 to move my grandmother into a nursing facility and the remainder of her belongings into storage. This was a very difficult task due to her health. Scott, Mary and the rest of the crew made the whole process easier. They were professional as well as thoughtful and courteous during the time it took to complete both moves. There was one small scratch on an old end table, but Scott had it repaired and back within a week. The entire process was a pleasure, especially compared to experiences I have had in the past with movers. Since, moving Gran, I have hired them to pack and move my 5000 sq. ft. house and recommended them to several friends and employees. Everyone I have recommended them to has had good experiences and I will continue to refer Montgomery Movers when I can. Thanks, Scott, Mary and Montgomery Movers!

  2. Mover Documented Damages, Ignored Claim.

    The owner of Montgomery (AL) Movers, Scott Turner arrived at my new home in New Mexico in October of 2010, and told me that the load had shifted on the way from Alabama. He stayed and documented the damages with photos and told me he would make sure everything was taken care of.

    Damages included a completely destroyed dining room table base and BBQ grill, as well as numerous scratches and tears on fabric.

    Mr. Turner contacted a third party who send an inspector who was able to estimate about 1,500 in damages, but not able to price the repairs on the fabric items.

    After that, Mr. Turner first belayed, then stopped all contact. I tried to reach him through the third party contact, but was told they were also trying to reach him - he hadn't paid for the inspection services.

    Nine months later, Mr Turner will not answer calls or emails. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and was told he had not responded tot their inquiry either.

    This mover should be avoided at all cost!
