  1. In NJ move.

It was small move and most stuff I had packed. It was very smooth. The work as well done and quick both packing and unloading. The move was on short notice, beginning o f July.

  2. America moving.

Do not ignore reviews so that you do not
victim to this bad experience this moving company and the most horrible in any matter!
completely improfessional in every way and not only the employees but the owner and even more improfessional and with a very bad behavior very non educate person
in addition to the breakage we were robbed of course we started a legal procedure with report and police complaint
And the good review you can read on this company is because the owner or someone working for the company write it.

  3. DOT #: 1949855 MC #: 693183, very bad service.

First to start I am not sure about the exact name of this company as I found different names searching the website retrospectively using their numbers (DOT #: 1949855 MC #: 693183). I used this company in 2017 to move from SF California to Cleveland OH. they were very friendly start with as I did a binding contract start with which was revoked later with a paper that I signed in a hurry when they came to my apartment on the last day of me leaving (which again its my fault to sign that paper but the driver was very tricky in letting me sign that paper) and after they loaded everything they gave me double the moving estimate that I got initially from them and because that was my last day to move out of the apartment I didn't have much choice as my flight was on that day. what made the issue even worse that they deliver my household after > 4weeks despite saying it will more likely to be delivered within a week, but seems they were waiting for another shipment to accompany mine so they get the maximum profit. despite all that waiting a lot of damage occurred to my dining table and 2 of my twin beds in addition to others and when I called they estimated the overall damage as 50 $ and said I didn't buy extra insurance and all what I had was the basic one.
overall a lot of mistakes were done from my side. but this company was completely not honest and terrible.

  4. Review in Progress from a Relocation Specialist.

I have worked the past 14 years with a moving company and know it is my time to move. I am writing this review and will update it as the move progresses with Moving America. I as a professional relocation specialist know that thing can happen during the move process and items may get damaged. So let me begin: I contacted 3 different moving companies. I selected this company inspire of the mediocre reviews because of the customer service I am am getting regarding my shipment. I have changed my inventory and box count 4 different times to assure I do not exceed my cubic feet allowance. The only 2 hick up's I have had so far in an extra charged on delivery of 200.00 dollars because we are moving to a remote location. I was over looked by the move coordinator. No a big deal and this is normal. The other surprise was that Moving America is going to charge me an extra 5 % if I pay my balance to the driver using a credit card. This was a little different for me but I get it because the driver might me charged the 5% from the credit card company. I felt that Moving America should take my payment in advance and absorb the extra cost as a retailer does. I will keep everyone posted in detail on the progress on this move.

  5. Moving America Not Recommended.

"Buyer Beware." I will never use this company again, nor will I recommend them to anyone. The only decent people they have working for them are the movers, who appear to be independent contractors, because the trucks all have photocopied "Moving America" signs masking-taped to the doors. For the following reasons, the move was much more stressful than it should have been.

The bid/estimate telephone representatives were friendly and helpful for the most part, however, because we had donated some items that had been on our inventory, Brian Aiken advised that the cubic feet on our contract should be reduced. This had the effect of reducing the total price, but increased the price per cubic foot. Later, when we had concerns about this, Brian and Katherine were either uncivil or not taking our calls.

When the pickup team arrived, we were advised that, in view of what we had to load in the truck, the estimate had increased by 60% because we were stuck with the higher price per cubic foot due to Mr. Aiken's advice (comparison with our other bids indicate that, based upon our final cubic feet, we were overcharged $1,000.00 to $1,500.00). The pickup team also brought several more documents to be signed when there was no time to sufficiently read/review the documents. Rudy, the foreman, was competent and professional, but his assistants broke the ceiling in the elevator, and we are being charged for that repair. The delivery team was excellent (foreman Michael Williams).

It should be noted that Dispatch representatives were discourteous. They also failed to give us one day's notice at our new location in another state.

As for damage, at this early point in our resettling, we have discovered that none of the drawers in the desk close completely.

Finally, and most troubling, is Moving America's insistence that the balance be paid either in cash or US Postal Service funds (which we were not told about until our belongings were ready to be dropped off- perhaps as a result of the lack of arrival notice and the late-stage additional documents). This is burdensome for clients. Moreover, it suggests that Moving America has so many unhappy clients at the end of their move that they cannot accept checks or credit cards (which they do for the 70% prepayment) lest the dissatisfied customers stop or chargeback payments.

  6. Great packing but JACKS prices 50%.

Got pre-move all-inclusive estimate of $3,400. I added 6 small + 4 medium + 4 large boxes more after the estimate. When they arrived he walked the house and said it would be a few $100 more. So I figured $4000 max. Well AFTER the truck was loaded the bill came to $5400! A 48% / $2000 price jack! How could they have been so wrong? Their excuse was the LEGS DID NOT UNSCREW FROM THE TABLES AND CHAIRS! Are they crazy? They had me? How could the on-site estimate be so wrong? Incompetence or rip-off? You decide. What could I do? They have not delivered yet. If they were not rip off artists this would be a 5* review and the work itself was great.
    Will update after delivery.

  7. Moving America Express is Top Notch!!

We were extremely satisfied with the service provided by Moving America. Price - no one could beat it. Ease of pick-up & delivery - excellent. The drivers were courteous, careful, and completely respectful. Thank you for making our move easy and stress free.

  8. Completely Incompetent and Unresponsive.

I had hired Smart Choice Van Lines for my move from NY to SC and they contracted a local moving company, I guess which they represent called MOVING AMERICA based out of Miami FL on Flagler St.  When the movers showed up on the morning to pickup my things, one of the movers barely spoke English and the other one kept yelling at me. They arrived in a plain white truck and I asked them if they were from Smart Choice Van Lines.  They said they were from Moving America but did pull up on their phone my moving estimate with all of my details. I didn't know anything about this company and handing over $1000 to someone when I'm not sure if my things will actually arrive at the destination made me very nervous.  They were very careless with my boxes and all of my furniture.  During the move, the driver informed me my things would actually arrive the next day in SC, when I had confirmed with Smart Choice Van Lines that they were to arrive in 3-4 days from the pickup.  I wasn't going to be in SC until 3 days after the pickup date so during the move in the middle of the mover yelling at me, I had to call Smart Choice Van Lines to find out why my move was going to be delivered the next day since it was a piggyback move and I was told when I reserved that it would take a minimum of three days to deliver. To their credit it did seem like they had stacked things in the truck in a somewhat organized way, but it was a very stressful day with the additional communication problems on top of the already stressful move.  I had arranged for my parents to be at the moving destination the following day so that I can get my stuff back and call it a day with this company. The next morning I received a phone call from the MOVING AMERICA office which should have been telling me my driver was 5 minutes from the destination and instead I was informed that after my stuff was put on the truck that the driver got in a huge argument with SMART CHOICE VAN LINES who told him they needed to take my things off of the truck and put it in storage.  To their credit, I didn't pay for the storage.  However, no one contacted me about taking my things off of the truck especially since everything was settled once the move pickup was complete and it was confirmed and arranged that my stuff would be in SC the following day.  So, three days went by.  In that time, SMART CHOICE VAN LINES would not return my calls about the rift that they caused now and the lack of accountability.  The person at MOVING AMERICA did return my call me the new morning that the truck was supposed to arrive that the truck broke down and they had to send a new truck to complete the delivery.  Each morning, I had to call the MOVING AMERICA people to find out now where the new moving truck is so I know when my things are supposed to arrive.  I kept getting the runaround as they didn't have an estimated date of arrival and my frustration went through the roof as my things should have only been moved on and off a truck twice -- once for pickup and once for delivery.  Because of this lack of accountabilty and dumbfounded miscommunication, my things had been moved FIVE TIMES!!  Once for the pickup, once for storage, once for out of storage and back in truck, once for out of truck and into new truck and once for delivery.   As a result, there was an increased amount of damage to my things because of all of the manhandling.  My items finally arrived 10 days after the original pickup in New York.  When they arrived and the movers opened the back of the truck, boxes were everywhere.  It looked like something blew up in there.  Don't get me wrong.  I fully understand and expect there to be some wear and tear on the boxes as that happens with moves.  The majority of mine were crushed and as I checked boxes off my manifest, there were missing items which the driver had to hunt and search through misc. trash to actually locate.  Otherwise, I wouldn't have gotten everything. As it turns out, I didn't get everything.  I have two boxes that somehow went missing, a large picture where the glass on the frame had shattered and dented the picture, books that had some of the spines crushed in because the boxes were dismantled and several additional framed paintings in which the frames had broken. This was not a big move, but somehow between the unresponsive SMART CHOICE VANLINES and the incompetent MOVING AMERICA my move was made into a massive cluster mess.  Never ever ever ever again will I use either of these companies.
