Move from sold home to storage.
Because of a double move, we had to depend on a moving company to move us from our sold home to a storage facility in another town and county. The owner was very nice and the cost reasonable. BUT when it came to the actual team that moved us it all went down from there. My husband made the mistake of leaving his billfold in a top drawer and ask the company if he could retrieve it ..but too cost prohibitive since the truck was put up for the night. They told him it would be better to meet the truck at the storage as planned the next day. Well you guessed it, billfold found minus $400. And the guys still wanted a tip?? Our furniture and belongings were in pretty bad condition as well. Hardware missing for Queen Bed. They had put heavy items on top of lightweight items. We hired another moving company later to move our furniture and belongings from storage to our new home.
