  1. Fraud. No show. No refund.

Do not hire Moving Help of U-Haul. They are fraud. They do not show up, do not provide services and do not refund money. I hired Moving help to unload U-Haul truck. They did not show up. When I called them, they told me to cancel the services. I had to hire another moving services. Had to take another day off. Paid premium for emergency services. Paid one additional day rent of the U-Haul truck. Moving Help will not refund my money. They told me to contact the movers. Movers told me that Moving Help did not pay them money. Moving help gave me a code to give movers when service is completed. Movers did not show up and I did not give them code. Without code they are not paid.

  2. Terrible would be an understatement

    Uhaul review

Well if I could rate this negative stars I would. We scheduled our U-haul box to be dropped off, packed and brought to the nearest U-haul storage center Friday 4/9/21 between 3-5pm. That didn’t happen. We were given the run around with bare minimum communication. It took until Sunday 4/11/21 at 7pm for our mover to FINALLY show up with our box. He was not the least bit apologetic for the complete lack of respect and shitty service he provided. Throughout this whole process U-haul did nothing to help us or expedite this process. I find this service and treatment deplorable. If U-haul does not care when their movers get to you or how slow and careless what should be a simple process takes. There is no reason it took 3 days to complete a job we needed done Friday afternoon.

Once our mover showed up, and completed filling our box he demanded the payment code immediately. Considering the fact he was over 3 days late delivering our box, we weren’t about to pay him before we knew the box was actually delivered to the proper U-haul location. He was not happy with this and proceeded to try and intimidate us into immediately paying him by getting loud and confrontational and then began removing the trailer (with our box on it) from his car. In response to this we contacted the local authorities, at this point he was legitimately stealing from us because we weren’t cowering in his demanding male orders presence. My being on the phone with a police officer made him change his tune. Considering we already had pictures of his license plates we weren’t going to back down to this mistreatment. He then begrudgingly drove to the U-haul site where we had agreed to have it dropped. The whole drive he was driving extremely recklessly; turning without direction, driving through red lights etc.

In addition to the absolutely horrific experience, that was our move, EVERY time we called both U-haul and moving help to assist us they “not so kindly” stated it was not their problem. So, I’m sure some people love being talked down to in times of high stress, such as moving, but we are not those people. The “customer service” we received made me miss the days I was being shot at by drill sergeants. If I wanted to pay this much to get royally f***** this hard I would really think I should be left more satisfied than I currently am.

  3. Movinghelp.com

First of all, we were supposed to start at 8am and the guy did not show up until 11am.

Second of all, only 1 person showed up to move me when I was told that I had two people coming to move me. The guy that did show up kept giving me some story about his helpers were doing another job and they were supposed to come assist him once they were done. That was a lie because no one else ever showed up.

So, what ended up happing is that my cousin and I had to assist this guy in moving my entire apartment which defeated the purpose of hiring a moving company to begin with!!! If I'm paying $240 then I'm not supposed to lift a finger. Next thing to bring to light is that this guy not only showed up 3 hours late but also he did not show up with any tools necessary to disconnect the washing machine or take down my mounted TV (SMDH).

To top everything off, this cat scratches my brand new vinyl floor by sliding my sofa across the living room then he tried to blame my wife for the scratch marks so that he could deem himself as not being responsible for the damages. He was also unable to get my refrigerator into my new house but at the end of the day did not charge any less for the move in which me and my cousin assisted him in which brings me to my next point... I was charged $230 for 1 man to move me instead of $240 for 2 men..... WTF???? If I had 2 men like originally promised then it would have taken them half the amount of time to move me and I would have spent $120 dollars less. (That $120 could have went towards the appliance specialist that I had to now pay to come out and move my refrigerator into my house). I reached out to MovingHelp.com about this entire ordeal and they just redirected me back to the guy who move me to begin with and said to speak to him if I had issues.

At the end of the day I would not use MovingHelp.com for anything going forward! In fact, I will never use Uhaul again after this experience. Uhaul being the sister company should have made sure everything was made right in the end. Especially since I rented a uhaul truck to begin with to make this move happen but never again. Uhaul is a joke and a scam of a company to allow this to happen and not correct the mistakes.

And whatever you do (I repeat) WHATEVER YOU DO... DO NOT USE MARINE MOVERS to move anything in your house!!! I would not even have them move my trash can from the side of my house to the curb in order to get the trash picked up.

You cannot even verbally speak to anyone at Movinghelp.com. You can only send messages.

Do not use either of these companies! You have been warned.

  4. 1 star because I couldn’t do 0.

I paid moving help for 4 people for 4 hours. To unload a moving truck we had driven. Only three people showed, two of them showed 50 minutes late and worked for 2 hours. I requested a refund from them and I was given a run around by customer service with a pre practiced message every single time I called. I was never allowed to talk to a supervisor. After making multiple calls no refund was ever given. Uhaul promotes this company but they don’t back them up. I would never use this service again.

  5. Awful Experience-No customer service # !

I contracted Moving Help through Uhal to load a UBox, paid in full as required. The sub contracted mover gave me run around all day, and I was frantic as I had to be done and out of the apartment that day. I went online to call Moving Help to get another mover for the job through them. They do not offer ANY phone support period. I emailed them 1st response
was "contact your mover" I emailed again to please help me and their response was to cancel the job with out lifting a finger to resolve the problem. This was in NYC where they have many subcontract movers. I realized you can't trust the reviews of specific movers when I went zo leave a negative one, you can only review movers that have been paid and paymrent is not released till customer has approved. Review pool is only "happy customers".

  6. This is 3rd Party Company That Doesn't Care.

DO NOT USE MOVINGHELP.COM. I hired them via U-Haul for a 3 hour load job. The crew showed up on time and were courteous. They only worked 2 hours of the 3 paid. When I asked for reimbursement they told me to call movinghelp.com which I did, I they told me that one I gave them the payment code there's nothing they can do. I insisted that it's their responsibility to reimburse for the difference and with a very rude tone the customer service lady said "it's not their problem, their employees, and that I shouldn't have given them the payment code." I know 60 bucks is not a lot, but it's the principle of good customer service and fair business practices. This company is shady. You're better off hiring people from the streets.

  7. Movinghelp.com is terrible.

Movinghelp.com is not to be used. They provide no assistance when their recommended movers don't commit to the move or show up. Steve & Sons Moving Co. directly at (214) 715-1504 should not ever be considered!

  8. Found Premier through UHaul Moving Help.

I booked SML first because of the Penske coupon - it brought them into line with the other companies. There was an extra piano charge which was fair. After I paid the deposit, I got a call saying they had to add $110 at each location for an extra person for the piano, bringing the total to $440 each in Cincinnati and in Houston. And they still wanted the piano fee. I felt really screwed.
I checked around and found UHaul moving helpers could do it with two guys in Cincinnati for higher piano fee but less total bill. William and Michael from Premier were awesome! They surveyed the house and then loaded with mattresses and moving blankets padding furniture and carefully tied down everything.
When we unloaded at the other end, everything was perfect - no damage because of their careful packing.
They waited at the end so we could be sure everything got in the truck before they left.
They called a few days before and 30 minutes before arrival, were prompt to arrive, extremely polite and very time conscious to finish in the two hour window. FIVE STAR all the way!
We had a different company in Texas - also excellent.

  9. Movinghelp company.

They charged me in US and I immediately canceled the order and I am still looking for the refund. They partially refund me and I seriously looking to get my money back.

  10. Dissatisfied.

Unfortunately we were dissatisfied with Moving Help from the beginning. They were difficult to contact after they were set up through U-Haul. I left 2 different messages on a generic voice recording, and did not receive a call back. On the day of the move, they did call to give a heads up that they would be coming by after they had lunch. One gentleman stayed in the truck, and the other did the 3 flights of stairs to our apartment. Sometimes he would go back down the stairs with only a pillow or nothing at all. While they gave us a heads up about a 15 minute grace period before starting to charge the next hour, in the end they attempted to charge us for the grace period. They also struggled to pack the truck correctly. They told us U-Haul gave us a 17' when we ordered a 20'. We later learned that we actually had a 20', and they just did a bad job packing it. Overall, very dissatisfied with their service. We would NOT recommend them to friends or family.

  11. Move to Kentucky.

The men that loaded the van in Ohio were very careful and extremely good at wrapping and covering items so that they wouldn't get damaged.
The men on the off load in Kentucky were not only careful but very orchestrated. They quickly moved everything off the van into the appropriate room and cleaned the van.
All in all I would not only use this service if needed again but I would highly recommend it to friends and family.

  12. Stressful.

I rented a uhaul truck and hired moving help that is on uhaul website. They never showed up nothing when I called customer service they didn't care. This really was a horrible situation as I need to be out of the apartment that day. I will never ever use this company again I had to hire two men and a truck. They are very professional and getting them out tomorrow to move my things. Uhaul was nice after I dropped my truck back to them a few hours after picking it up they refunded me my money. Whatever you do my suggestion is to never click on help with movers just get the truck and go with a reputable company like hire a helper. There is reviews on movinghelp.com but they are all 5 stars they are not licensed and bonded I repeat don't do it. ' Very stressful situation what a flippin joke.

  13. Moving Helpers.

Petes Moving Services were a great and made my moving experience at ease. These guys went above and beyond in communicating with me in how my move was going to happen. They packed, load/unloaded in a very effecient matter, not to mention they were super polite. The guys were so effecient that my move ended up cost a bit less than initially anticipated (due to quick and effecient work/. Overall 5-star guys for sure! Highly recommend Petes Moving Services.

  14. Horrible Experience.

If you don't want your movers to show up at all, than An Elite Mover's Company is for you.  I paid 162.90 in March for services required in May.  Due to misscommunication, they thought I was moving in March.  I called 24 hours before the moving date to confirm the date and time that I was moving.  These people are very unproffesional and never answer the phone.  When they called back hours later, I spoke with Orlando and he seemed surprised and asked me the same questions I was asked back in March.  Orlando called me on my moving day and said two guys would be there at 8:30 am.  At 8:45 am, I called the company to verify what was going on.  No one had showed up.  Orlando assured me that his guys will be there soon and he was unsure  why they were late.  Orlando also informed me that he would call me back and give me an update once he knew what was going on.  At 9:35 am, I called Orlando because the movers still hadn't shown up and I hadn't gotten a phone call.  At 9:00 am, he found out his guys wouldn't be able to make it and he didn't call me.  He was very rude on the phone.  He hung up on me before I could even ask for a refund.  When I tried to get a refund, I spoke with Tyler and he was rude as well.  As soon as I said my name he hung up on me.  This happened twice.  My husband and I had to move ourselves.  It would've been nice if they showed up or helped me get someone else to help us move.  Orlando was very rude and didn't care at all.  To add to the above my wife called them the day before we moved as well to confirm with them. never any mention that they simply didn't have enough people and too many jobs scheduled. would have been nice to know that the day before we moved. when I spoke to them at 9:35 after they said they would show up at 8:30. The companies answer was one guy didn't show up to work and the other was two hours away in Hampton helping someone else move. thanks "Elite" movers Elite mover's hire them if you would like to move everything by yourself.
