Long distance moving
Nationwide Moving Services (NMS) falsely advertise themselves as a full service, out of state moving specialist when they are MERELY A BROKERAGE COMPANY. They manipulate, lie and trick customers into signing up with them. When I decided to move from Irvine, CA to Montana, I obtained 3 quotes to get a ballpark figure of moving costs. The first quote was from Kyle at Nationwide (I called them thinking they were a full-service moving company), a second company and finally I called United Van Lines (UVL) for my third quote. UVL/Mayflower (a subsidiary of UVL) was the company that I wanted to move with, having used them in the past and being satisfied with their services.
However, when I called the number for UVL, Leo H from NMS somehow intercepted my call. He did not identify the company he was with, just stating “Moving Company, how may I help you?” During the entire conversation, Leo had numerous opportunities to let me know I was talking to NMS and not UVL. I asked if UVL gives discounts to seniors and/or to loyal customers, since I had moved with them 3 times in the past. Instead of letting me know I was not talking to UVL, he continued the deception, and went to the extent of researching my move with UVL while talking to me. He obtained the exact address UVL moved me from Colorado to Vista, CA in 2018, my last move with UVL and asked me if I was moving out of my Vista address to Montana. Given that he had my info from my 2018 move, I had no reason to doubt that I was, talking to UVL. He rushed me through checking the listed inventory, the estimated cost of the move and the signing of the contract online, collecting my deposit of $1504.67. Assuming I was dealing with UVL, I felt comfortable signing the contract and paying the deposit since I was familiar with their contract. To my horror, 4 days later when I printed out the contract, I realized the contract was from NMS not UVL. I called Customer service to complain and Christina from customer service hung up on me. Subsequently, I called Leo, who of course denied being deceptive and told me I could cancel the contract but would not get the deposit back. At that point I had no choice but to go along with NMS.
On actual day of move, MoveR van lines (MVR) comes to load my stuff. They claimed NMS had underestimated the volume (396cf) which they said happened frequently, and they were going to charge me for an additional (154cf) for exact same items on NMS inventory list. I called NMS for resolution according to their instructions given to me and the manager Annie had the audacity to tell me there was nothing she could do about it and told me I could cancel the contract. NMS deliberately underestimated the volume to secure my business, knowing full well that the movers were going to charge more on actual day of move.
3 days later, I contacted NMS asking to speak with the manager. The clerk stated she had gone home for the day and asked if he could help. He looked up my information and stated I had 2 moves listed in their computer. When I questioned him as to why that would be, he stated “You must have called several companies to get quotes. We have different ways to get your calls”. That explains Leo fraudulently intercepting my call to UVL. This company has had 59 complaints in past 3 years (all the complaints are similar to mine) and yet no action has been taken against them, so they continue to deceive customers. There should be a class action lawsuit against them to shut them down for good.
DO NOT USE!!! BROKER they just take your $$$
Worked with several people who basically give you no information, such as they are just the broker and they sell you to someone else to do the move. Expert advice and guidance...NOPE none of that. Insurance.... $.60 per pound!
Bed was broken, Armoire broken, Glass pieces broken etc etc etc! Really who determines the weight? People are so rude it's not worth filing a claim. They count on that!!
which you don't think you need as you don't know your goods are going to loaded and unloaded how many times.
Delivery 9-21 days LOL the ontacted company get to change that to whatever they want. In my case 9-21 business days and then some. Oh yes then COVID...give me a break.
Save yourself the stress as moving is that itself.

Great for long distance moving
Nationwide moving services was very easy to work with and made the whole process as easy as possible. Instructions were clearly followed and the movers handled everything with care. This moving company made our interstate move so much easier! The services they offer really go above and beyond as movers to make long distance moving easy. I definitely recommend using Nationwide Moving Services because of the efficient, friendly and thorough service I experienced.
The worst service
The customer service reps and management team are rude. The estimated quotes are no where need close to the actual price when the moving company comes to pick up furniture. My price was triple to what the estimated quote was, the moving company explained to me they use an outdated system to calculate the furniture size to get customers to work with them. ITS A SCAM DO NOT WORK WITH THEM. Find a moving company yourself, you don’t need a broker to find one for you. Definitely learned my lesson.
Great long distance movers
I'm a young, fresh college graduate who just got a job out in NYC, and I was absolutely terrified about moving so far away. I've never done this before, but I found Nationwide Moving Services, and they saved me tons of stress. Best long distance movers ever! There's so much to keep track of when moving especially for your first time, and they really helped me out.

In the search for a company of long distance movers, I came across this company. When I got my quote, I was surprised to hear that it will only cost me $2500 to move all my furniture. I knew there was no doubt about this choice. I was even more surprised to find my property arrived before the estimated time with the best gentlemen to help move. I wouldn't use or recommend any other company.

All of my packages and property was handled carefully without any issues along the way. They're the most professional and reliable long distance movers I've ever dealt with. Long distance movers
I was in need of long distance movers in a short amount of time and came across this company. The people that I spoke with were super friendly with great communication and very professional, quick and helpful. Only at the cost of $2300!. It was a great experience and all my belongings were transported safely and in a timely manner to my new residence. I would most definitely use this service again in the future and I highly recommend this company.

Smoothest move ever
NMS was fantastic. The communication was smooth and the movers arrived right on time. They got right to work boxing everything up and got the show on the road in no time.
Though we were under a steep deadline to move out of the house, NMS was extremely helpful and responsive to our situation. Moving is usually stressful, especially with a long-distance move like ours was. But NMS took care of everything. Thank you, NMS!
Great quality, professionalism
Nationwide Moving Services is unmatched when it comes to the quality needed to be good at what they do. Hiring a moving company was hard to decide on. My wife and I were skeptical about hiring out of state long distance movers for our moving needs, especially with the size and number of large items we had to transport. But NMS did everything to surpass every hope we could have had and more. I’d definitely use (and recommend) Nationwide Moving Services. 4/5.
Terrible experience
We contacted nationwide- they are brokers- brokered out our move to logistics pro- who in turn, contracted our belongings out to another mover. We lost family flags of deceased family members- numerous boxes of kitchen items, personal information and a router table. After numerous calls for assist with locating our items- the contracted mover informed us, “why are you complaining? I didn’t charge you an additional 2,000 for having to back up to our driveway and unload 50 feet from our garage.” The move from Denver to Washington state was around 11,000.00. I believed we were paying for all of our items to arrive. To date, we have not been able to get a call back for remediation.

Quality Service!
They were tremendous in helping my family move across country. We hired long distance movers from them and they gave us a completely satisfactory service by helping us move from Orlando, FL to Charleston, SC for just a few grand. I was expecting to being for an arm and a leg with horrible service, but they treated my family with the upmost respect and assisted us through everything. I'm very happy with their services!
Best Movers I Have Ever Used!
I truly am thrilled to say that this moving company could not have made me feel more safe and protected than these folks did. My property and privacy both felt more than respected. For someone who moves frequently, it is a big thing for me to say a moving company is the best I have ever used; I would say that about this company.
