  1. I Also Worked For Them.

However, I refuse to waste a moment of my life dissing or worsening their name, unless it is one hundred percent accurate. I am just here because I truly believe in karma, and I felt compelled to inform New Jersey and New York how corrupt this company is. A post prior to mine stated that she worked for this company. I would like to say that this is absolutely true, and that they are indeed corrupt. I will not use names, becuase that is unfair. But I have a feeling I know who posted that review.. and she is right. Everything that she said is true. From the fake posts that are posted by employees to the fact that they believe Indians are more likely to pay bigger bills. The truth of the matter is, these people (most of them, at least) moved to the United States from wherever they came from to steal our money and cheat our families. So, be aware. They are not a legitimate moving company. They are cons and very good at doing so. So good, in fact, that even their voice impersonations are believable. One of the women who works for this company is talented in using different voices so that she would never have to take the blame for the evil actions of this company. I apologize to each and every family that I hurt while employeed by this company. I was in dire need of money and truly wasn't thinking in any other way than out of selfishness. I now see how wrong I was for allowing this evil to continue flowing in my life for so long. I now work for a legitimate company, and I see how different things are in the real world, rather than the cheap and condescending world I was stuck in with these terrible people. Take my advice. Avoid at all costs. If you really need to hire anybody to assist your moving day, please feel free to hire a U-haul for the day and pay a few of your friends. DO NOT allow them to cheat you. Stop giving these people who do not deserve the time of day OR the money the satisfaction. Again, I apologize and good luck. .

  2. Blood Suckers!!

These people are blood suckers!!  When I called them for the first time they were very quick at responding and accepted for 60$ dollars/hour. I told them clearly that moving can be done less than 2 hours and they agreed for the hours. When we reached the destination they gave a bill for $600.00. When questioned, the 2 guys were very unprofessional in answering and refused to unload my stuff from their truck until I pay them. Very disappointed and never ever choose these guys anymore.. better rent a u-haul and call some friends for help..

  3. I worked for them! Sorry.

I use to work for this company and I just want to say sorry to everyone who was sucker into booking with these people! The way that business is ran is totally SCAM! There location is not a real moving office its a small office building. Theres only two girls who works in the office and out of the two one of them is the actual owner of the company cause its under her name but she don't really run the company. a israel immigrant actually runs the company. Its under the girls name cause of her credit basically. But lije I said there's only two girls who answers phones but the one girl has five names with five diff impersonation voice to fool you. But its only two girls! The way they run there business is they book alot of jobs everyday and the day of the move the boss chooses by most bedrooms cause its more furniture so its more chsrges! Or if your indian cause they think they have mey automatically so they can bank on them. If you live in ny there def. Not going to you unless your the only job they have for the day! I really don't know how they can live with themselves cause I couldent. Hearing people crying or yling on the phone cause they being raped of costs is the worst feeling. Horrible situation to be in and horrible for people to be in. there trucks comes out of garfield! Not no where else!! They lie making it seem like its around you just to make you feel better. I don't know what else to say. Sorry for you guys just report them and eventually they will be shutdown.

  4. NJ Elite Movers are Criminals.

They are liars, they do not disclose that payment is in the form of cash, they do not disclose that they charge for stairs. Do not use these people. Their BBB rating is F. I moved around the block. They did not carry any furniture. They spent two hours taping furniture, that was not necessary. I carried all the lamps myself, mirrors, boxes, clothing. All they took was one bedroom set, sectional living sofa, one dresser, one tv. one dinning room table, I carried the chairs myself, two coffee tables and a flat screen TV. The charged my $1,972 in cash. Then the foreman asked me if I use to have money because I had nice furniture. That man should be put behind bars.

  5. Bad moving experience.

This moving company nj elite movers, as they are called, should be behind bars. for robbing people without a gun. How there getting away with what they are doing shows how bad our justice sysem has became. after being ripped off for about a $800.00 over charge on a light move in NJ from toms river to bordentown, which they estimated to be 7 hours. and charged $1650.00 for a move that they told me would be $70.00 per hour. The original qoute they gave me was $210.00. The $1100.00 extra they charged me for the move they told me was for packing and blankets, tape and one flight of stairs at the new residense. After the move I researched these movers on line, there on many complaints of the same type of rip off. seems they continue to get away with this outright fraud of a business they call nj elite movers. I intend to persue this further, so as to protect other honest people from these vultures. I might add two of the workers appeared to be young hard working imigrants, who were hired by elite movers for minimum wage I'm sure. I am not blaming them for the rip off. It was the foreman on the truck who made up the bill.`and his boss whoever he is.

  6. This company is a scam.

This company is a scam they sub it out to people who come in a rental truck, they charge per step per man, and then they tell you they need all cash or a certified check after everything is on the truck. They took no boxes, clothing, lamps, or mirrors. They wrap things up so tight so you can spend a fortune on packing materials. If you want to pay double, be stressed and be scammed this is the company for you. Please do not use them. I am trying to save you some of the stress I went through. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.

  7. Terrible management.

They arrived early which was a nice surprise. The movers themselves were professional, prompt, and quick. As far as the people back at the office it was quite dissapointing. I was supposed to get several confirmation calls and never received any. When I called the company for a confirmation I continuously was told I would get a call back later, and never did. I spoke with 2 different people on 2 different days and got false and inaccurate information. The quoted price was $225, and by the end of the day I payed $568.

  8. Horrible experience, the company lies.

The reservation specialists failed to inform us at the time of the reservation via the phone of all costs associated with the move of our friend. We were hiring the movers to help a friend out who couldn't afford to do it herself. Also we were supposed to receive an email confirming which was never received and apparently would've explained all the extra costs. We were told we would only have the 3 men moving from 9am to 12pm (3 hours) and then the day of the move they informed us it was a 5 hour minimum. A move that should've cost us less then $300.00 ended up costing us $608.00. When we called the company the manager was not helpful to us at all, she put us on hold but never hit the button and we could hear her talking about us to the people in her office. Also, Matt the driver and foreman of the move was seen by myself snorting something up his nose while standing in the driveway of the home we were moving out of. Not sure what it was but it didn't look legal to me. I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

  9. Cheaters and Liers.

I had a worst moving experience in my life due to this cheating moving company. It made me loose all my happiness in beginning life in a new place. I lost all my enthusiasm in my life due to get cheated by this dirty company . This is my first experience in life getting cheated by some one and loosing a lot of money .

Let me explain the whole story .

My previous apartment won't allow us to move out during weekend , otherwise I could have done this by my friends very easily. Hence I did some search in google and got quotes from NJ Elite movers. They had given a rate of $75/ hour through the email. In that they say this amount includes everything for packing and moving. The time begins when the truck enters your pickup location and ends when leaves your delivery place. I called the moving company and the representative assured me that everything included for $75.

The truck came on time with a super and two Mexican workers(who do all hard jobs).Super came and made a visit to my 1 bedroom apartment. I had packed all the items except my furniture(1 mattress, box spring,1 couch and a small dining table) neatly. He opened his file and showed me a contract paper within his hand. I was totally believing him and asked him is everything $75/hour?, he said yes. He was so smart and cunning so that we won't get enough chance to read the entire contract (again its my mistake) . Then they loaded everything into the truck and reached the delivery point.

before unloading he asked me to review the bill and he gave me a shocking one for $1786. My moving took hardly three hours and I was expecting a bill of $225 but got 8time bigger one. I told him I am not going to pay this as total value of goods in the truck is even less than that. He said he will take all the stuffs with him and store in a facility and we have to pay that amount too. I called the office and they said I have to pay in full. They were even not listening to us and totally in a mood of cheating us. I asked for any discount and they were not even ready for that. Most of my babies items, dresses and kitchen utensils were inside the truck, otherwise I would have told him to get lost. I had no option and borrowed money from my friend and took the remaining from the atm. I was in a totally lost stage , I called the police and they said they can't do anything for this. I was totally helpless and broken. got cheated by NJ Elite movers. Please keep away from them.

  10. Don't get scammed.

NJ Elite movers is a scam from the beginning to the very end. We got lucky that they only took what they did from us and that we got our belongings back. I strongly urge anyone to avoid using this company at all.

When we found NJ Elite Movers in May of 2011, they quoted us $285, and $75 for each month of storage. We asked if our stairs would be an extra charge, they said no it was included in the $285. They then instructed us to store all of our clothing inside of our dressers, and our supplies inside of our desks. Everything was great, what a deal!

Until they showed up. The "foreman" fast-talked my husband into signing a contract before he had it completely filled out. It was a total bait-and-switch situation. Suddenly, he was angry that we had filled up our dressers with clothing and we had to start buying boxes from him - at $35 a pop. Plus the labor was by the hour, so having to stop, empty the dresser and place everything into the box took more time. We should have told them to leave right then and there. During the process, the "foreman" made rude sexist and anti-semitic comments.

So everything was locked on the truck, and then the bill came. $1400 dollars. Along with the expensive cardboard boxes we were tricked into purchasing, we were also charged for 40 rolls of duct tape (the most expensive duct tape I have ever seen) all of the blankets, etc that they used. The worst fee though was the extra $850 for our stairs. When we explained to him that when we set up the move they said we would not be charged for the stairs over the phone, he said we had to pay him, he would not take the stuff out of the truck and he would just take it. We tried calling the office, but we were given the runaround, and were continually put on hold so people could talk to a "supervisor" who we were never allowed to speak when we asked. All the while being charged for labor while he sat in the truck with our stuff. And then our stuff drove away. They only take checks or cash as well.

They told us they would e-mail us with the bill, so with our funds depleted we left the city for the summer hoping that everything would be ok. Months passed and our storage bill never came. We tried calling repeatedly only to be met with the office hanging up, or putting us promptly on hold for long periods of time. We tried contacting their website, but received no response. Throughout the entire month of July no one picked up the phone when we called and it connected us to a nameless voicemail box that would not accept messages because it was full. They claimed they had the wrong e-mail address (even though they had two e-mail addresses, a phone number, and a forwarding address, none of which they made any attempt to contact).

Finally, we came back to the city last week (first week of September 2011)and trekked out to the address listed on the website. Their facility is in a creepy old warehouse and they have an office on the third floor. When you knock on the office door no one answers. When you call their number, you always speak to a different person even though it sounds like you're always talking to the same person. The woman who answers the phone is often very rude and tells you that "YOU JUST DON'T UNDASTAND!" and made no attempt at any recourse that they took our money and our things. It took us which three days of constant calling and a 45 minute phone call to get our bill for the storage unit. The woman on the line could not for some reason send an e-mail and be on the phone at the same time. Clearly, she created the invoice right then and there. They probably never had any intention of actually billing us - the only reason our things were still there and not sold or pawned was because they are lazy.

Fortunately, we did get our things out. A few boxes appear to be missing, they never mailed us the inventory list as they promised, and some boxes had clearly been ripped open, but for the most part most of our things were still there. The feet of our dressers were completely destroyed. When we called to inform them of these issues, again we were met with complete disregard and were told that a claims form was being sent to our address, which has still yet to arrive. They threw a nasty smelling pillow onto our sofa, hopefully we don't get bedbugs.

Basically, the moral of the story is if you have to move on a budget, get some friends and do it yourself. If money is not an issue, go with a corporate, national moving service. Avoid NJ Elite Movers like the plague and learn from our stupid mistake and don't get ripped off.

  11. Cruel, Horrible, Liars, The LIST GOES ON.

So, i'm not going to bother going over my move, seeing as how every single review on here basically sums it up. Give you a low quote, get you to sign the contract, refuse to release your items once the items are on the truck.. etc etc. All I can say is, avoid them at all costs. Very bad customer service, very mean people, very tricky and sneaky. Stay.Away.

  12. Liars! Cheaters! Thieves!

These are some evil, evil people, who should be put behind bars. Immediately.
They will quote you a low price like I was given: 70 dollars per hour. They will then promise that it is only 70 per hour, no hidden fees, etc. My move, which would have come to about 210 dollars, ended up being 1300.00! Hidden stair fees, environmental protection which they made up (research this, it isn't existent), packing materials (which they state in the phone conversation "Packing services are included" real manipulative. The actual packing of the items are included, not the packing materials, which cause your price to skyrocket) stay away from them! Do not let this horrible company take your money. Selfish, evil people and karma are coming. Don't you worry!

  13. SCAM Horrible service. Quote not honored. Furniture was stolen..

I was quoted a flat rate of $80.00 per hour with 2 men and truck is what the flyer said. Minumin required 2hrs. Disassembling and reassembling furniture, mileage, gas, blankets all included when I spoke to Sal. They did not come the date we made the next day they came 3hrs late. Sal had told me $160.00 for everything if we needed more time just pay additional $80.00 per hour. Then they worked only and 1 1/2 hrs and once the 4 pieces were on the truck the rate bacame 1000.00 to get my furniture and since I was only quoted $160.00 for 2 hrs. They started adding additional stuff and Sal was no where to be found. My friend called the police we was told that I was scammed. 1guy said they would give me my furniture for 600.00 just to have them take off truck.. The police told me that this had been happening lately, that this is a civil matter. They robbed me for my furniture without a gun. Once the police left the guy claimed I would never get my furniture that they will auction it off. Storage fee would be $3000. for the month. Dont ever use this company or All for one moving co. that's what their shirts said, same people.. I am fighting for my furniture my kids tv, leather couch,4 chairs and glass wall unit. The amount listed on the paper is even hirer. Please rent your truck and move things with family and friends. Will never hire a moving company again.. I have been calling the company and now Sal is no where to be found. I made a complaint to attorney general,d.o.t, comsumers service. I'll keep you posted.

  14. Horrible!

These people are the scum of the scum. Horrible, lying, manipulative, cheating, evil people. They will quote you with a really low quote such as 75 per hour, then they will wait until the day of your move (after your items are on the truck and the contract has been signed)to tell you that your bill is something ridiculous, such as 1,000 dollars or more. Then they will fight you over the phone (screaming like maniacs) telling you that you either pay your bill, or they take your items into their storage. Trust me, avoid at all costs. They do not care about you or how much you can afford, as long as these cheap pieces of s** get your money.. they could care less if you are homeless afterwards. DO NOT PUT MONEY INTO THESE PEOPLE'S WALLETS!

  15. Worst move ever.

This company is a total scam!
Not only were they late but they were real shady about giving me a final estimate. I was moving a small apartments worth of furniture to a sizable studio only about half hr away by drive. They gave me an estimate of about 80 dollars an hour - yea right! Turns out, it was a 1500 dollar move - 2 months worth of rent at my new place. What a disaster. Do not hire these scam artists!
