  1. Great Move!!

Great moving and storage. We scheduled our move well in advance. NORCO was right on time. We encountered a delay for our move in date and NORCO was able store our goods for us. They were kind informative and understanding. I am glad I left the moving to the moving specialist. They truly know their business. No damages.

  2. Not Trusworthy.

I had a very short move. The guys in charge of arranging the move were professional and timely BUT VERY HIGH PRICED. But they guys that actually performed my move- that's a different story. I had all my things in a small storage unit so it should have been an easy move, 55 miles away. They were about 6 hours late. Then all the stuff didn't make it off the truck so I asked the guy about 1 particular thing he said he never saw, yet I saw it plain and clear 24 hrs earlier. When they finally got everything off the truck at 10pm, there were boxes not marked off. They claimed they brought them in already. Who was I to argue? A few days later, after completely unpacking, I noticed several things missing. Now, things just don't disappear in thin air and my gut says these guys helped themselves to my things not sealed in boxes. When I filed a claim with the complany, (total less than $400) the owner denied my claim it. If I wanted to lie and make a false claim, I would be making up stuff worth way more $$. I felt completely ripped off by this company. The owner said he "stands by his workers" well your workers stole things from me. Not trustworthy!

  3. Outrageous.

My family was relocating from the Dallas area to Toronto, Ontario and we choosed Norco Moving for the moving. When they were packing up our belongings, they dropped 2 expensive glass jars and wouldn't let us claim it due to it not being broken on the journey to our new home. Our furniture was supposed to arrive July 18-20 but the truck had to have extensive maintenance which halted the truck from leaving on time. Our furniture finally arrived on July 29 nearly 10 days after the ETA. The people who were bringing our furniture inside the house were very nice and happy to be working on the hot summer day. We were very angered when we found out that our favourite table and many outdoor furnishings were "accidentally" not put on the truck. They finally arrived a month later and we were angered once again after there was 2 humongous dents in our dining room table plus they took the tires off our bikes. Who in the world takes off bike tires?!? I would never in my whole life recommend these people to anyone. They were very bossy and never let us have our opinions of the matter. I would rate Norco Moving and Storage 10% of 100%. I hope I never ever again have to deal with anything this outrageous.

  4. Great Move.

Movers were on time and courteous, never any trouble with what I ask for. My estimate was within $250.00 of my actual. The crew went beyond what was required to set my new house up. Had to wait for me return from closing to begin unload and they never complained. I would recommend them highly, I got 4 estimates and they were the most professional in presentation. Explained everything that would happen and what was expected of me. Move went exactly as explained so there were no suprises. Will use them again next time.

  5. Lies and Damages.

I went with Norco (local group for Mayflower) thinking it would be safer moving my stuff using "professionals".  Turns out I could have saved my self about a month of aggrevation and nearing $2000 additional spent (between move and furniture repair) had I loaded it by myself.  When looking for a mover, I did not want my property moved between trucks or put into a warehouse.  In contacting Mayflower, the salesman, James Friesenhahn, said the truck that I loaded my stuff into would then take it directly to my new location, picking or dropping off other loads along the way.  I was willing to pay an additional $800 to not have this happen (compared with ~10 other quotes that I had gotten previously).  However, my stuff was not loaded as promised My stuff was poorly loaded onto a truck then left in the Mayflower warehouse for a week.  I had my possessions picked up in Dallas on Sept. 19th and it was suppose to arrive in Salt Lake between Sept. 24th and Sept. 28th.  The furniture was put into the warehouse until the 25th, then arrived on Oct. 1st.  In addition to the delay, I had 8 pieces of furniture damaged and it is estimated to cost $950 to fix it.  The damage includes a dining room table that I saw the movers drop on a concrete floor while taking it out of the elevator (they did not notice they had gouged it - I noticed the hole in the packing blanket and asked them to unwrap it to find a chunk missing).  They also ripped off two palm-sized chunks out of one of the dressers.   In addition to problems with the move itself, I am still working with the claims service two weeks later to try and get my furniture repaired.  They say it will take another week to formalize the claim form and then two plus weeks to either be cashed out or have the furniture repaired.   Also, they over estimated the weight by 1,300 lbs. and it took almost a month to get reimbursed the $417 they overcharged (Sept. 19th to Oct. 12th).   So - for those reading - never use Norco unless you want your furniture destroyed and can spend a month trying to fight them on the phone.
