  1. Do Not Use this Company.

I strongly urge anyone looking to relocate furniture not you use this company. They are the nicest people up until when they put your items on their truck. They give discounts because they know what's going to happen later. They came a day and a half late. Once the foreman gets halfway through packing he gets you to sign the papers and collect the down pmt. He then tells you the space you paid for isn't enough for your furniture. At which point the price is going to change. It can double triple or quadruple and I'm not joking about the amounts. The supposedly owner Norma Smith is not the real owner, she just registered the business for her friend Ian Gary Manning. (Google him before you do anything) The address on the contract is a home that she lives in which she said he was supposed to change a while back. He claims he's just the manager. He is the most unprofessional person I've ever met in my life. He doesn't return calls, doesn't keep good on his promises, he leases out jobs which is why he can't do anything about prices (as he claims). My move to fl from nj was the worst situation I've had to go through in my life because of this company. They originally quoted me 1800 then went to 4100 then down to 2600 because I was referred to them by a mutual party. I had to get the police involved twice only for them to say they can't get involved in civil matters so they were no help. The building that they operate out of does not have a sign with there name because they are scammers. I truly don't understand how anyone could work for this company or even sleep at night knowing what they do. This guy Ian Gary Manning had the same business in N.Y. and left there after going out of business there doing the same thing to his customers. I met with 2 lawyers who said it's unfortunate but the moving industry words there contracts in a way so that they are protected not the customer. This is just half of my story and it's sad that they put there customer's through this but I guess the devil doesn't care who he rips off.

  2. Class Action Lawsuit..

By the sounds of it we all have a lot in common with having had a horrific experience with North American Prime moving company!

    The story:

My family and I relocated from Florida to CT for work last month and we were initially quoted $2000. We signed a contract for the quoted estimate this including fees, tape, boxes and taxes. The day of our scheduled move North American prime dispatch called to inform us that the truck broke down and we would have to push our move date back by 2 days. Because of this we were offered a discount for the inconvenience but that was a scam, no discount was offered in fact the manager "Sam" denied ever saying such. Once on scene the two men, took 16 hours to pack and load a small three bedroom apt charging us extra for "tape $8 a roll, bags for our beds at $35p, $75 for extra stairs, $300 for more qubic space etc etc..because we were on a budget and couldn't afford to throw a few extra hundred on top of the already 800 over pay in charges we were forced to leave our daughters beds behind and some of there personal belongings. the manager "sam" is one of the most unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate people I have EVER come in contact with. Now, in CT our stuff was supposed to be here today but they called and informed us that due to weather, our funtiure will likely not arrive until next week sometime. The point of me sharing my experience? I plan on filing a lawsuit for false advertisement, fraud, breach of contract and property destruction. There is more than enough evidence and testimony JUST on this forum alone to make this a case. I am not going after anything but what money has been wrongfully charged to me. Who's in?

Feel free to contact me via email gallant.proof@live.comb

    Thanks.

    Joe.

  3. Cons, Liars, Thieves.

Took my stuff back in May after quoting me $1180 to move cross country. Once they picked up, they said that it was going to be $2800. They brought it to Austin, and put it in a storage unit. I was then billed $250 a month for storage. When I finally was able to pay off the balance yesterday, they put it in a non-climate controlled unit (which they told me it would be in), and my stuff was broken & infested with bugs.

After I met their demands of a final payment via cash deposit in their bank, they gave me the details of where my stuff was in storage, the gate code, and that my key to the unit had been left under the door (what the heck?).

I get to the storage unit, and my gate code doesn't work. Go inside, they won't help me because I didn't rent the unit. Had to call these [EDIT] at North American Prime, and turns out they hadn't paid the bill. The storage unit rented for $80 a month, and they were charging me $250.

Finally got them to pay the bill, and authorize me to access the unit. Get there, of course the key isn't there.

Luckily, the amazing individuals at the storage unit helped me cut the lock with bolt cutters, rented me a unit two units down, helped me move my stuff, and gave me a free month rent and waived my fees to help make up for the awful experience I had.

DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY. I WILL PAY YOU TO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!

  4. Do Not Hire.

If I could give them negative stars I would. They're con artists and theives. My grandmother passed away and my parents attempted to ship me furniture, china, crystal, etc that was left to me. These "movers" put it on the truck and then demanded more money. When we refused, citing the initial contract, they refused to remove our items from the truck and left. They essentially stole our property and will not release it to us until we pay hundreds of dollars in extra "fees" which were never mentioned or agreed upon. I am devastated to have lost all my grandmother's possessions. DO NOT HIRE if you ever want to see your belongings again.

  5. Awful. Just completely Awful. Do not trust this company with your move.

This was hands down the worst company I have ever worked with in my life. These guys were shady, untrustworthy, and cheated me out of my money, not to mention lost some of my things and ruined my furniture.

  6. Tripled the Price!!

My wife and I moved from Atlanta to Durham, NC. We employed a moving company, North America Prime, to move from a one-room bedroom apartment to another. They estimated our move at $1250, 8 weeks prior to our move, and offered a 25% discount. On the week of our move, we provided an updated box count, and they lowered our price to $1211. On the day of the move (after arriving 3 hours late, causing us to push back our move in date), they loaded our belongings onto the truck and then quoted a $3600 price (3x the original price), demanding cash (no mention of our agreed upon 25% discount). They threatened not to deliver unless we paid the full amount in cash at the time. Given that it was a Sunday and the leasing office was closing in 1 hour, we were forced to pay. The next day, they arrived 3 hours late, and demanded an extra $150 because they had to park the truck 20 feet from the loading dock. Again, they threatened not to unload our personal items unless we paid in cash.

  7. Fast and reasonably priced services.

I highly suggest that those that are suggesting using this company disregard the other reviews. The move for me and my family was pleasant with this company. I moved from Florida to Georgia and this company's workers handled the whole process and my wife and I did not have to move a thing.

  8. Scammers.

The worst mover in the world, my quote said $1290, the guy that pick my things add $300 plus $89 and his sum was $2269 instead $1679, I called them and they kept the wrong number. Now I have to pay that amount because their mover mistake.. the worst and worst companyy.. now I don't know when is my things coming, and they blocked my number..,.

  9. Move from Georgia to Florida.

Words cannot explain the horror of dealing with this company. They're are scammers and will triple the cost of the initial quite after they have your belongings on the truck. They will send a shady truck to your house operated by a sleazy crew that will take over 15 hours to load a simple 2 bedroom move on a truck. Initial quote was $3205 went up to $4680 after walk through to which we agreed upon because they showed up a day late and needed to leave our apartment. Upon arrival of our belongings, the price skyrocketed to $7700 which doesn't include the cost of the stairs he said. The driver wouldn't open the truck to show you your stuff or begin unloading unless you pay him in CASH only! I called the cops and had them present during the transaction to guarantee we get our stuff. We ended up paying because we had stuff that we needed immediately. This is a horror story that was our reality for 5 days. Stay away and run from this company.

  10. Do Not Hire-con Company-rip-off Everyone.

THIS COMPANY LIED, CHEATED AND FAILED TO ABIDE BY THE CONTRACT. THE DRIVER'S THREATENED THE HOMEOWNERS IF THEY DID NOT PAY CASH AND DOUBLED THE ESTIMATE. WHEN I CONTACTED THE COMPANY, THEY LAUGHED IN MY FACE AND STATED IT WAS THE CUSTOMER'S FAULT. ALL OF THERE STATE PHONE NUMBERS GO TO FL. THE POOR ELDERLY PEOPLE WERE DAMAGED FINANICALLY AND EMOTIONALLY FROM THIS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. OH AND IT WAS THE SIZE OF A UHAUL AND COST $6200.00.

  11. Bad bad bad moving experience.

DO NOT HIRE!! Worst experience of my life. There are not words to express the stress I experienced by hiring this company. Lies, lies, and more lies from cost to arrival time, more than eight hours late, payment was another matter, the cost skyrocketed after the goods were packed and on the truck. Delivery another nightmare, arrived hours late, damage to my goods was unbelievable. I discovered many missing items, took another three months to get those delivered, had to go through the State Attorneys General's Office to get the remainder. I repeat, DO NOT HIRE!!

  12. Awful experience.

WARNING!! I repeat WARNING!! DO NOT USE this company. I don't care what they promise you, they are LIERS and SCAM ARTIST. I moved from Florida to North Carolina. North America Prime is in deed the WORST company ever. I was told one price over the phone and ended up paying more. The new price wasn't mentioned to me until they packed up everything on the truck, leaving me with no choice. They arrived 3 hours later then promised, and out of the 3 men one had a very bad attitude/ very arrogant. I paid more then half up front to insure that my stuff would be delivered on the date that I specified. Didn't happen. They arrived 2 days later at 11:30pm, and demanded more money then the balance owed. After a back and forth battle one of the delivery men (2 young men) decided he would take the lost. North America Prime I say again, are LIERS AND SCAM ARTIST. Please beware. Oh, they do give you the run a round over the phone and never give straight answers. I delt with an agent by the name of John and Greg and the actual packing people was owed/managed by a Jamaican man (don't remember he's name) They are the worst also. DO NOT USE North America Prime movers, you will be extremely disappointed.

  13. Scam Please do Not Use.

Order was made incorrect contract was sent with wrong inventory they price me for extra fees double the amount that was quoted. still left items at pickup location those items was never discounted off , CALLED for weeks no direct answer everything I spoke to someone different response for the same answer no customer service after order is booked all a SCAM only the movers that came out was good but they are through there OWN company but NORTH AMERICA PRIME IS A SCAM I never wrote a complaint before but this was the worst company I have ever done business with .

  14. Interstate move.

I was very nervous at first to move with this company due to the reviews I read. My relocation agent assured me that their would not be any problems. He even told me to google reviews on Wal-Mart and so I did. Wal-Mart has so many bad reviews, like in thousands. I still shop at Wal-Mart so I took a chance. They did not ask me for a deposit, so what did I have to lose. Also, the agent explained that the company averages 5 moves a day. Well to get to the point because I promised this guy that if I have a good move, write a review. All worrying for nothing. These guys came out here and did a great job. I got 30 days free storage as also promised. Then the delivery came. I do not know what these other people are saying. But I would not have written this review either if I did not promise that guy.

  15. Move with them was is a disaster.

Do not I repeat do not use North America prime movers Still did not receive my items Can never talk to anyone They leave you in limbo price is not what they say Disaster there response to me is the truck is being loaded I will call you when I know the day you will be receiving g it. Well I must have called 10 times and the truck was always being loaded and they never ever call me the so called manager was on the phone then another fellow now a girl that answers keeps telling me everyone I ask for is in a meeting I am so disgusted just wondering if I will have a table for Easter.
