Ideal Relocations.
From North Carolina to Florida, I relocated like a king. In my entire life, I have never figured out that relocations could be that easy. Based on what I had heard from others, relocations were so hectic and full of stress. I did not expect my experience to be different. Through the support of One Way Van Lines team, however, everything turned out so amazingly. In the subsequent relocations, I will seek their services without even thinking twice about. They have proved that they can be trusted with relocation jobs. I am grateful to the whole team.
Best relocation service.
One Way Van Lines were very courteous throughout my moving process. They always called me to update me about the move. They had a big issue when they were trapped in a traffic snarl up and made know about it. I felt that they were treating me like a boss, and I cannot thank them enough for the timely delivery despite the traffic problems. The manager is especially helpful and called me from the office to tell me that they had arrived in my new home at Belvidere in Illinois.
Look elsewhere, I'll never use them again.
In short, "my experience" was not good - One Way promised a delivery time, however, they were approximately a week and a half late, which caused a lot of hassles with moving from California to Washington. If they were specific/ upfront about their 7 to 21 day delivery time, I could have planned differently, which would have saved me time, money (i.e staying in Hotels and Motels).
The best advice I can give is USE/ FIND A LOCAL MOVER that goes State to State, by doing so, you will be in "direct" contact with the mover and driver and can establish a guaranteed arrival time!!

I now understand why One Way Van Lines are regarded so highly. From obtaining my quote to the very end of my move, I was appreciated, and my needs were all considered from packing to unpacking. They ensured that my things weren’t harmed and were in perfect condition at the end of the move. I adored how they wrapped my mattresses, and I want to salute them for a top quality moving at very affordable price.
Do Not Hire This Incompetent Company!!
Do not trust anything they tell you or that is in writing (contract). Our entire experience has been very negative. As a first time consumer for hiring a moving company, I feel as though I was taken advantage of. They under estimated my cubic feet by almost 1/3, causing an increase of $1500.00. The damage that our belongings have suffered are unacceptable and non-repairable. The waiting time to receive your belongings is absolutely ridiculous! They don't tell you that they start counting days (business days) from the first day you are available to have your things delivered. In the contract, there is a guarantee for delivery of less that 500 mile, delivery will be within 10 days. Average is 0-6 days for delivery within 500 mile. We moved approximately 370 miles, had belongings picked up on Sept 6., our first day available for delivery was Sept. 18. We finally received our belongings on Oct. 17. That's 6 weeks after pick up and 4 weeks after our first available delivery date. Keep in mind that everyday that you live without your belongings, it costs you extra money because you either have to buy kitchen ware to cook or eat out everyday. What furniture do you use? Eat, sit and sleep..on the FLOOR of your new home! If you ship your clothing, you've got only the clothes that you carried with you in your suitcase, unless you buy more. We moved to our new home and needed to repair a couple things that would have taken minutes, doing it by ourselves. Since the company held my husband's tools hostage, we had to hire people to do the repairs (costing approx. $4500.00).
Please do not hire this company unless you don't mind giving your hard earned money away to a company that is only concerned with lining their pockets with it.

My moving with One Way Van Lines was simply amazing!! The team of movers doing the job accomplished it faultlessly and delivered all my possessions in superb condition in two days (from Maine to Alabama). The company also charged me reasonably, which made great sense owing to my finances. I liked my cooperation with the team of movers, and I thank my friend for recommending them to me. I highly suggest them to you for all your moving needs. My move from Maine to Enterprise, Alabama was pretty fine with no glitches at all!! The company staffs were open and proficient throughout the process. They sent a skilled team who arranged all my properties in separate boxes which ensured the safety of my possessions. They were very competitive in their pricing seeing that other companies asked for more money. They expertly wrapped my mattresses and crated my TVs for free, unlike other companies who added an extra charge in their quotes. Thank you, One Way Van Lines!!
Worst experience of my life..effecting a baby's life!
Hired a broker who hired One Way Van Lines. Picked up my stuff in Pittsburgh PA on 08/10/2018, delivery to California was set for 09/08/2018..today is 10/03/2018 and still NO stuff. The manager told me is was "estimated" to come last week, no calls. The manager basically laughed at me when I told him how this was effecting myself and my child's life. He told me to take it up with DOT after 30 days. The movers nor the broker will call me back.
I have been living out of a suitcase with a 20 month old baby for 54 days now.
Move yourself..Your life will be so much better.
First of all..If you haven't heard from other reviews, these people are a broker. All they do is google search movers in your area and then go with the cheapest, poorly rated one they can find. We did not hire the end company and were only told the day before they arrived. Basically we kinda got the hint there was something fishy going on when they told us to make the money order out to a different company but we were never told outright who was showing up. We were told the day before our move that they would be there to pick up our stuff on sunday instead of saturday, now we have to change our hotel reservation. Sunday comes and they said they would call us before they arrived. They did not. Only after they appeared did we meet One Way Van Lines. The Crew of three took 4 hrs to move a house that was completely packed except for large items like beds and dressers. One of the crew even hung out on his phone for a decent amount of time so they other guys could get some work done, how nice..When they finally got the load packed and we looked at the paper work we realized that not only could these guys not speak english but they couldn't write in english either.
As Soon as they left we had to rush out to get to our hotel in north carolina, we were moving from Delaware to Florida. Once we got to Florida we were immediately asked for a move in date. Our house didn't close for about a month/ month and a half and we let them know as soon as we found a place that we could move in on September 4th. We heard nothing from One Way until WE called on the 4th to get a status update. We were then informed that Charter told us 5 business days to get our stuff, and that was a lie. We were then told by dispatch that it would be 10 days and that it should be sent out that coming friday. We hear nothing on friday so we start emailing and calling, just to be told that they only one who can answer our questions is bryan or Brayn Lucas from one way. So, we are told by one ways office to keep trying him and we did..for a whole week. Now since we are not getting a response we start contacting the BBB of the state where we One way is located (Maryland) and Florida as well as the attorney general. They suggested that we contact the local Police in Maryland. After contacting the Sheriff they said they knew exactly who One way was and would send an officer over there to check things out since they said they knew they were a scam. As we were sending the Sheriff over I got on the phone with Charters Customer service that swore up and down that One way was Awesome and that I shouldn't believe the negative reviews. Well, after laughing at how stupid and naive they thought I was I was put on hold and when she came back I was told that she called bryan from one way and that he said we spoke to us the day before. We did not! After I got off the phone with Charter we heard back from the police that said that One Way could hold our belongings for up to 21 days and that while Charter spoke to Bryan at One way the office staff told the police that he was out of the country. I proceeded to inform Charter that The person they said they talked to was out of the country so how could they have reached him so quickly especially since he was not returning any of our calls or emails. Finally, after my wife loses her cool with the staff at One way she is told to only contact bryan and to leave them alone. We only want a move in window that isn't weeks away so we can plan out work and school. Read the reviews on both One way and Charter Van Lines the 5 star ones are most likely fake and I've reached out to the ones that give a heck of a lot of detail and we are all seeking legal action. See the pictures below of their packing list and tell me if you want these people handling your life possessions.
Do not use!
I booked my move through Charter Van Lines. They farmed it out to One Way. My belongings were to be picked up on June 13, they didn't show up until the 15th. Expected to be delivered in a week. No belongings for a month. No answer every time I called or emailed. When they did answer, I was told another time frame. Always later. Finally they called and said I had too much stuff and needed 1200.00 more.
When my belongings finally arrived a month later, it was a totally different truck. My boxes were smashed and my totes were all cracked. The boxes were damp. My good crystal and dishes were in pieces. They piled heavy totes on top of boxes, things were upside down and sideways. I asked where they came from and was told Miami. I live in Daytona. When they were done, I gave them a soda and one of the men actually said "we usually take our tips in cash not drinks" yeah well sorry! Worse experience of my life!!
Awful moving co.
Do not use this company. After they picked up our furniture they doubled our bill. They were late picking up our furniture and it took them six weeks to get our furniture to us. Also, when they finally got the furniture to us they claimed that they could not get the truck through the gate and had to ferry out furniture to us, another 650.00. They do not return phone calls and no one will answer the phone once they have your furniture. We did not choose this company we contracted with a company called Purple Heart movers because we thought they were vets. Once they had our money we could never reach them again. They will not answer the telephone you are always directed to leave a message and they will not call you back. This company did not live up to any of their promises.
