  1. Stay Away.

    UPDATE:
STAY AWAY!! They are the WORST especially with customer service! Today I called to check the status of my claim from four months ago about my damaged furniture and floors (because no one had called to update me) and was told that because I opted out of insurance, my claim doesn’t matter. I then said “so because I opted out of insurance, that gives you the right to treat my things like crap? That’s not right” and the response I got back was “yup, is there anything else I can do for you?” What a terrible, unprofessional business!! I know the price is cheap but not worth it AT ALL. DO NOT SO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!

This company was recommended to me and after my experience, I will never use them again. I was quoted $250 for my minimal amount of furniture which was decent so I went with it. I was also told that they would be coming sometime between 7-9am and that they would call when they were on the way. They showed up at 8:55 with no heads up or phonecall. But, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided it wasn’t a huge deal. When they showed up, I informed them to be extra careful with my tv stand because part of it was broken in the back. As I’m watching the movers take my stuff, they were not being careful at all. As a paying customer, I expect them to treat my stuff like their own which was NOT the case. Anyway, they took the tv stand and as they turned the corner, the leg broke off because they were not careful and turned the corner too quickly (this was unrelated to the part that was already broken — totally different spot). I understand that mistakes happen, but what bothered me was their response. When I asked what they were going to do about the tv stand that they broke, the response was “well it was cheap anyway” and of course it was blamed on me since I opted out of having it wrapped beforehand. They said there was nothing they could do about it and might as well throw it out. I’m sorry, what?!? If they were at least a little apologetic, I’d be more understanding. But no apology, instead it was my fault and of course the excuse “it was already broken” was used. Then, the guy offered to wrap my couches free of cost so I took him up on it. I had scheduled a two hour window and was told that any extra hour would be $135 (per hour). I didn’t think wrapping couches would take long but they spent 20 minutes doing it. I had a feeling they were taking their time to extend the window and get paid more so I spoke up and said I did not want to go over the time and needed the couches loaded ASAP. Side note - the “covers” for the couches were dirtier than my actual couches! Covered in dirt, leaves, and stains. I would’ve been better off just putting them as is in the trunk. On top of that, they were NOT careful with my furniture at all. When we got to my new place, I noticed half of my furniture was scratched. My new place had brand new wooden floors so I told them to please be careful because I would get charged for scratches. So what do they do? Drag my furniture across until I stopped them. I’m an understanding person and usually not one to complain, but if these people had just treated me like a paying customer and taken care of my things with respect, I would have been more appreciative. Instead, I felt like they wanted to get the job done without being careful. Maybe I was treated like this because I look much younger than I am, but regardless, there’s no excuse. I would have loved to give them a bigger tip but unfortunately I couldn’t justify more than an extra $20. I think they would have many more customers if they treated their customer’s furniture as if it were their own, AND treated customers with respect. I was so disappointed and I will not be using this moving service again. Takeaway: now I have to spend $300 on a new tv stand. You’d be better off using a more expensive moving company or just having friends help you as opposed to using this company. Lesson learned: you get what you pay for!

  2. Horrible Company!

Price isn’t the thing to consider as I quickly learned when identifying a mover. As I worked with the community I was moving into identifying the exact time I’d have access to the unit, I attempted to keep their receptionist Ellein in the loop and experienced a great deal of non-communication, and was given times to call back and nobody answered. Eventually I was instructed to call back Friday at 5:30 and someone would accommodate me and accept my deposit - I spoke with Pete whom at the point said he would call me back and again I was ghosted!! The day of my move after signing the contract and think it was in the past, Pete himself called during my pickup window and told me he didn’t appreciate the phone calls and the extensive follow up and said my business was not welcome cancelling my move before cutting the conversation short and hanging up! This was all a new experience to me and I encourage those looking for movers to be cautious and complete in your search, it’s fair to say there are many more professional movers out there than Pete’s Ultimate Movers and I would not recommend them to anyone!

  3. Stay away from this scam company led by kingpin Peter Suffrena!

Don't hire Pete's Ultimate Movers unless you want to spend hundreds of dollars on learning how to get scammed or scam other people.

The worst part is that the owner Petersonn Suffrena Sr. (Pete Suffrena) concocts his ploy from the beginning of the sales cycle. He lies about their services and pricing to get you to commit, and then he upcharges you on the day of the move with random stuff and changes the terms.

He even lies in person and says he is not Pete and has a different name. C'mon bro.. this is the 21st century. Try something new. I've got all your pictures and records pulled up on the Internet.

Pete Suffrena is a smart man though. Scammers tend to be highly intelligent. Why else would I fall for such a trick? He tries to document everything via text and email, and sends all customers a contract to sign up front.

I don't even know where to begin with this fraudulent company that operates as "movers."

First, the company changed the scheduled moving day on me. They were not flexible at all. I had to scramble like crazy to accommodate them. They were extremely pushy via text and on the phone. See attached photo. A friend of mine whom hired Pete's Ultimate Moving told me owner Pete Suffrena really hopes that you can't make the new day so they can charge you the deposit without doing any work.

I paid these guys for six hours. They slacked off in their truck while my mother-in-law and I did the packing and heavy work.

On top of that, one of the workers took a nasty [EDIT] in our bathroom, and it stunk up our entire apartment. He didn't bother to flush the toilet. My mother-in-law almost passed out because of the putrid smell. I tried to take a picture of his crap, but I couldn't open my eyes because the smell was so bad. I had to flush the toilet immediately. The worst part is that, since we were moving, all the cleaning supplies and air fresheners were packed up and gone. This was truly a [EDIT] moving experience!

Then, Pete's Ultimate Movers and their head honcho Peter Suffrena showed up 15 minutes late to the destination because they took the wrong route.

They promised me they'd unpack, assemble and reassemble everything we had in boxes (including new ones that had never been opened), and pretty much do anything moving or unpacking related during the six hours I retained them.

Instead, they refused to work, did a horrible job reassembling one of our beds, joked around in their language (I think Haitian Creole - I know French and could understand some sentences of them making fun of my mother-in-law and wife), opened up our new furniture and spread it all around our living room without assembling it, and the worst part: they quietly got into their big truck, and drove off 1 1/2 hours early with no notice or anything. They didn't say they were done. They didn't thank us. They snuck out of our home and scrammed - or should I say scammed? They took around $200 in extra CASH from us.

Had Pete Suffrena been a man, he would've made me sign something or asked for some feedback before leaving. He would been fair and said he wanted to leave early, so he would've given me back some cash. I'm looking forward to reporting him and his company to my buddies in City Hall and Hillsborough County.

I applaud Pete Suffrena for his business savvy. He's good.. very good.

I recommend any clients of Pete's Ultimate Movers take pictures and videos of this crew while they're "working." Record your phone conversations with them, and screen capture their texts.

Buyer beware! There are so many better and cheaper moving companies out there. Pete's Ultimate Movers is not one of them.

My hard earned money is lost forever!

  4. Prompt and accomodating.

I'm not sure why Pete's Ultimate Movers has some negative reviews. I can't say anything else than great things about this company. About a month before my moving day I had set up and paid a deposit to another moving company (ATCR Movers). On my moving day, 20 min. before the scheduled time I got and email from the company canceling. Yes, I said 20 (twenty) minutes before. They never answer the phone or replied my messages. Luckily, my husband and I own a company and own a few trailers. So we decided to try to do as much as possible ourselves. At the end of the day we were ready to die. Next day, Sunday Labor Day weekend at 7 a.m we decided to try to hire another company. I sent messages to 15 companies I found online. A few contacted me the same day. Most of them were not willing to do it soon enough. 2 companies told me they could do it next day, but charging me an insane amount extra. Extra fee for next day and another one due to the holiday. Then Pete, from Pete's Ultimate Movers contacted me. He was willing to do it the same day. No extra charges. They got to my house at the scheduled time (like 4 hrs after the initial txt). Pete review with me the price, the same special that was advertised (I believe $600, or something like that). He also told me if we went over the 5 hrs, each extra hr would be X amount (again I'm not 100 % sure, but I think it was around 100) Immediately, he gave me advice on things I could do in order to speed the process and try to stay within the 5 hrs, for me to save some money. They didn't dragged their feet trying to waste time. My house was a 2 story house, 5 bedrooms (1 downstairs and 4 ), 2 living rooms (1 on the first floor and 1 on the second floor), and office and a 6 person jacuzzi. My husband and I had moved most things from the first floor, but nothing from the second floor. The guys work hard, fast but super carefully with they wooden floor, furniture and walls. Our new house is 1hr away from the previous house. We ended up having to pay only 2 extra hours. In addition to it, they were super polite and nice to my 10 and 8 year old children. Nothing was scratched, or missed handled. I hope not to move in many, many years. But if I do so, I would call them again. I've already recommended them to one of my friends who will be moving in a few months.
    Kuddos to you Pete!

  5. Professional moving company.

Due to our hectic business schedules, we were unable to move our own stuff on regular basis. As a result, our home became very messy. When we started to look for a professional moving company service, we came across a few moving service providers but they had very less track record and were expensive. Our close friend recommended about Pete’s Ultimate Movers Service. When we contacted them, they responded to my queries immediately and explained about their moving services.
They arrived on time with all the required moving supplies and started the moving process effectively. To our surprise, they completed all the moving tasks in time and beyond our expectation. They also charged very less for their impressive moving service.

  6. NEVER use this company!

I have moved dozens times in my career and these con artists are by far the WORST in the business. Do NOT believe when they tell you that the price they quoted is the final price. They will lie to you when you book the appointment and tell you that they have professional movers who will wrap and protect your furniture, disassemble and reassemble you furniture at your destination, etc. In reality, they send a couple of folks they probably hired off Craigslist with little or no experience. You will be informed that you will be charged by the hour after a certain time -- and believe me, they WILL go over the time allotted, so be prepared for $100 per hour. Wrapping your furniture is extra. They will wrap it with what amounts to sticky saran wrap and throw dirty blankets on top of that and tie it will some type of twine. I felt like I should have been moving with the Clampetts! A LOCAL move no more than 47 miles one way cost me $800 -- and I have a 1 BR apt., which I packed myself. These people are liars, con artists and cheats. Run, don t walk, far and fast to another more reputable establishment. I am still trying to get them to reimburse me for a broken bed (forget about the broken lamp and scratched chair, I just want to not sleep on a mattress on the floor). I have gone to their offices, I have threatened litigation, you name it. Hate to waste time filing a suit, but may have to. Already filed a complaint with the BBB. I could go on, but feel free to email me for the whole story. Bottom line is just don t use these [EDIT] if you value your money, your time, and your furniture.  I have filed a formal complaint with the local consumer protection agency, which is currently documenting everything I've told them, and with the BBB.  I know that it's time consuming and will ultimately not replace all that I have lost, but if it saves anyone else from such a disasterous and expensive move, it will be worth it.  My hope is that the state will revoke their license and close them down for good!

  7. Never again!

Awful! A nightmare!  Where do I start? Company offered free walk-through which I requested but they never scheduled. I discussed boxes as unknown since I had just started packing and provided them instead with the square footage and layout of the apartment. The truck they brought was too small, the movers sent thought there were no boxes. Couldn't finish that day since truck was filled.  What was estimated as a four hour move was 11 hours the first day and 3 the second. The second team arrived about an hour late for what was to be a two hour move.  The second team kept missing items I was pointing out so I just startted grabbing them and putting them in my car. The total ended up being 4x the estimate. And several items broken. The most expensive being a 1 year old marble top table. The first day team kept having boxes fall off the dolly as they tried to hurry the later it became.  As I started opening boxes I found broken Lenox vases, glass trays, etc. What a disaster! But they did discount one hour for the time they got stuck on the highway..small comfort.  And now I have had to fill out forms to try to get some of these pieces replaced.   The Lenox vases I had collected over years and not easy to find. The table will be very expensive to replace.  I only submitted the tables because I knew they would give me problems, which they did and still have not resolthis this.
