Pineapple Exspress Movers

Kept some of our items and lied about delivering them.

Our move from the mainland to Hawaii took a lot of research and planning to find the best and most economical way. It was a little more difficult because we lived in a rural area of Colorado. We were far from major cities and ports to ship from. We read from others it would be best to sell everything and rebuy in Hawaii. We decided to downsize and only ship items of sentimental value, major importance and items which we would have to pay more for to replace. We decided on Pineapple Express Movers, 44117 4th St Lancaster, CA. because they would ship door to door. We down sized enough, down to 400c.f. to share a container.
In the beginning, when they wanted our business, they responded promptly and politely. They said they were fairly a new company but had all the appropriate paper work, were very helpful. The initial estimate was for $1,600.00.They did require a credit card deposit of $285 but only cash upon pick up & delivery. We paid $2,172 cash at pick up and $543 at delivery for a total of $3,000. Our items were loaded on 08-14-2018 and delivered to our new home in Hawaii on 10-17-2018. When the items arrived we checked over as much as possible and noticed 2 most expensive items missing. Our grandmothers heirloom 1860s Victorian chair, a 30yr old hand woven oriental wool rug also a brand new Queen sized mattress. We also noted several boxes smashed a 4 broken items. (Amazingly our big screen TV made it intact.)The owner Kenny said he would look and send them on the next container. Later that evening we discovered more items missing and called them right away. We are writing this review in hopes to recover our items after 7 months of trying. We were told all of our items had been found and would be shipped on the next container they sent. They lied to us on Sept. 5th by telling us the items were on a container at sea and should arrive in 3-4 weeks. Since they are a new company we wanted to give them the chance to make it right. We waited 4 weeks with no word from them. We text the owner on Oct. 8 and called on the 10th with no reply, called left message at office again on Oct 18th, text Oct 19th. We finally got a reply that our items had been located (again?) & they were put in a container leaving next week. On Nov 29 we text them again with no response. On Dec. 3rd we were told they are in the front of the container(again?) and on and on..Now they tell us to just be patient with them and they should be here the 2nd week of March.. Going on 7 months and still stringing us along. They kept our items with no intention of returning and lied on multiple occasions.
