  1. Nightmare moving experience.

    1) The movers did not show up, despite confirming phone calls two days and then the night before. Two hours later I was informed that one of the four movers showed up but the other three didn't. I was told another four person team would show up at 2, they arrived at 2:30, five hours later than the promised time of between 9-10 am. An apologetic customer care representative promised me a "substantial" and "big" discount. The company said it would provide me a 20% discount for being five hours late. Although this seemed rather thin, and not at all "substantial", I reluctantly agreed.
    2) The movers were two, two-man teams that had never worked together. One of the movers was a know-it-all and began bossing the other movers around. The arguing led to delays, and finally to each of the two teams kind of going their own way. The know-it-all took forever to do things "his" way and there were disputes about how and when to wrap furniture, how and when to load it, and how to carry it. There was chaos and disorganization.
    3) The move of a three bedroom house, to another three bedroom house 3 miles away, took 8 hours. One of the teams apologized profusely to me for the unprofessional conduct of the other team and told me the move never should have taken this long. The other team, which was local, by that time had decided it was done working and went home, leaving only two moves for the last two hours of the move while I was billed for four workers for the final two hours.
    4) The very kind customer representative was apologetic and agreed to advocate for me to get a 50% discount to compensate for the total disaster of a move.
    5) Five days later, unsurprisingly, she said "management" of The Portland Moving company simply said no.

This is the email address I have for them info@portlandmovingpro.com

I am trying to ascertain the corporate name of this interstate mover and their license information. Be warned!
