    Never arrived and with no explanation.

    I don’t like leaving negative reviews (I still tip 15% for bad service at a restaurant), but I believe people should read this and judge for themselves. We booked Potter’s 3 weeks in advance of our move because most of their reviews were positive and their price was reasonable. We were set to move the morning of Saturday July 13th. Potter’s also booked a move from Virginia to Texas on the same morning. A couple of days before the move, we mutually confirmed the time of 8:00am – 11:00am, as it would still give them time to move the other customer to Texas. After they inspected the place around 7:45am they said they couldn’t get to it because of the Texas move, but they’d call another two guys to help us out and they’d arrive at our place around 9:30am. No problem because we still had some cleaning to do. We waited until 10:00am, then gave Potter’s a call because nobody had shown up yet to help- no answer. 10:30 – No answer. 11, 12, same story. We didn’t get in touch with the company until 12:45. Granted he was polite and respectful, but still didn’t have a good reason as to why his movers never arrived. We tried to find other movers which proved impossible for a Saturday afternoon, so we decided to just move the stuff ourselves (which wouldn’t have been a problem if it wasn’t for my back surgery).
     
    This looks like a case of taking the bigger job (Texas) and not taking care of the company’s original obligation. Even good companies have bad days, but we got stiffed pretty bad which put us in a bind the DAY OF.
