  1. Thanks for a good job!

I had no problems with these guys. Have no idea why the got negative reviews. My move went great. Good job!

  2. Good services.

Used their services twice now. First to move me from my 2 bedroom condo in Baltimore and then I've stored some items with them for about 3 months. Then I got my furniture moved from the storage to my new house in Towson. Guys worked fast, didn't take any breaks and delivered everything safely. Foreman was straightforward and honest. Would definitely use them again.

  3. You can do BETTER move yourself.

I contacted Premium Movers & Storage to move me from an apartment to an apartment literally 3-5 minutes away (distance from each other). It took 3 men 4 HOURS to move my one bedroom apt- I had a total of 17 boxes and minimal large items. The time wasted came in from 2 of the guys not even being apart of the moving company (picked up apparently) and "wrapping" items unnecessarily- of which they charge you for the tape rolls they use of course. I was not even made aware of all the insane amount of charges they throw on you WHEN THEY SHOW UP TO MOVE - in addition to the hourly rate plus travel time that they advertise- they also charge you for tape ($4.50 PER ROLL- of which you will need at least 8), tax on the tape, and gas surcharges.. neither of which are made known to you when you call to reserve them. Additionally, nearly half of my dishes were broken in the process and I had to leave stuff at my old apt because of the time it took them to get my things out. I could have done a heck of a better job moving myself!!

  4. The movers are great!!

Premium Moving and Storage company has moved me 3 times from Washington DC to Alexandria VA, from Alexandria, VA to Woodbridge, VA and from Woodbridge, VA to Washington DC :). They are the best of the best. Denis and crew did great job done. They have never broken one thing. The movers are great!! If you use anyone else-you are tossing your money away these guys are the best.
    Best Regards , Brandi Scott.

  5. Worst Experience with a Moving Company, Ever.

I had an extremely unexpected move and so I needed to find reasonably priced movers quickly. From Craigslist, I called numerous places and Premium Storage gave me a decent estimate and I thought explained everything fully. I explained to them that I had an extremely time sensitive commitment in the afternoon and would need to be completely moved by 4pm. They assured me that they would get there no later than noon and the move would take absolutely under no circumstances more than 3 hours. Another assurance was that they would call an hour ahead of time and verify their arrival time.

I had already packed everything from my 1br apartment into boxes and really just needed a few people to throw them and some furniture in a truck, so I figured it would take no time at all.

Noon came and went without a call. So did 1pm. I called the main office at 1:30pm and the receptionist said that she would call the team and get an update as to their whereabouts and call me immediately. They did not. I called back at 1:45pm and finally I got a call from the 'truck men'. They were 'in traffic' and said they would get there when they got there, but estimated 45 minutes.

In the interim, I thought in the interest of time that I would start taking boxes down the flight of stairs and organize them in the way they would go into the truck. 45 minutes later, no call and no truck. I called again and got the same story. The truck guys called me 15 minutes later 'in traffic' and gave me the same story. 45 minutes.

By this point, of course there was an enormous thunderstorm on the way to my house, so now I have most of my possessions sitting outside in cardboard boxes and the moving truck over 3 hours late.

When they finally got there, 4 hours late, I refused to sign the form that I would pay which was probably a dumb idea, because they sat on the truck, billing hours, until I worked things out with the main office. Well, there was no working anything out or negotiating with the main office. Either I signed the form or they left. And I needed my stuff out ASAP.

To mirror what the other reviewer said, they were incredibly slow..charged me for reams of tape unexpectedly, etc. I missed my commitment, all of my boxes got wet and are most likely mildewing as we speak in the storage unit, and this was one of the most infuriating moving experiences I have ever had.

To amplify how aggravating this was, the truck driver seemed to speak selective English, only when it was convenient.

Please do not use this moving company.

  6. Do Not Use Premium Moving & Storage, Owings Mills, MD.

Premium Moving & Storage, Owings Mills, MD held my household goods hostage and did a "work stoppage" until I paid them once we arrived to my new home (an apt). In addition, to the outrageous number of hours they charged me, due to these movers working so slowly, it took them 7 hours to move me from a townhouse that was half empty to an apt, a few miles away. Although, I kept telling them, that they were taking too much time, they insisted on double wrapping everything with tape, in which they charged me for 12 rolls at $3.50 each, that they insisted they had to use, even when I told them I didn't want it and 16 feet of "bubble wrap" for a whooping total cost of $95.00 for their "supplies".

After being forced to pay in full for the 7 hours, plus 3 additional hours they estimated it would take them to unload my items at the apt and the storage facility. Once we arrived at the storage facility, which was approximately a mile away from my new apt home, they insisted that I "sign" their paperwork that stated they were "finished", when I refused, because they had not in fact finished, and my remaining household items were still on the truck under lock and key. They did another "work stoppage " and held my remaining household items for hostage, even though I had paid in full. I then had to get the local police department involved, who then dispatched a police officer to the storage facility, in order for them to release my household items from the truck.
But, even then, they wanted and expected me pay for the time that was over the "10" hours they had estimated, and when I refused, and the police officer let them know that they had to immediately release my household goods because it's illegal to hold a person's property for hostage, and even more so, because I had paid in full for the services.

The officer also told them, when they tried to say that I owed them more money because it was over their estimated "10" hours, that it wasn't my fault that they were over the time, and that if they thought it would have taken them longer they should have estimated higher. When they insisted on asking me if I would pay for the additional time, and I refused, they put my remaining household items in front of the storage building, in which the unit I had rented was located in. I then with the help of a family member had to lift and load my items one by one to my actual storage unit. So, after being charged over $800 dollars, I ended up having to finish the job that I had already paid for in advance.
