  1. Damaged goods no compensation.

I moved from Georgia to Texas. Over $1500 in damages to TV, stool, nightstand and missing items. Only offered $90 as compensation. WARNING:Stay away from Prodigy Moving and Storage!!

  2. NIGHTMARE & THIEVES- Moved from Fayetteville, NC to Atlanta, GA.

DO NOT GO FOR THIS MOVING COMPANY. They are biggest thieves and scam. There are two drivers and they arrived in an Enterprise Truck as we didn't have much. Like any other review, yes they say lower price at first then on the day of move they come with cubic feet BS. Do not keep their word of delivering on time. Oh and the highlight: My two large suitcases worth of clothing Indian (wedding clothes from my parents and in-laws) and dresses were STOLEN and in those suitcases they replaced it with my husband's clothes to look like nothing is gone. I am still in shock about this. My husband kept on calling them to find out where they were, no one will pick up and gave a run around to call this number etc. A very unprofessional, rude lady finally picked up and was cursing at my husband. They are so unprofessional. Finally, when the delivery was made, a chair was broken and of course the clothes were missing and guess what after claiming they literally offered $8 for $500 worth of chair and didn't offer anything for the stolen clothes as they lied it wasn't in list as an inventory.

Be very careful of this company and they hire drivers who has past criminal record.

PLEASE I WILL INSIST DO NOT GO FOR THIS COMPANY. They will attract you with their lower rates but your $5000 worth of things will get stolen when they take an overnight break somewhere.

  3. Long Distance move from Ridgefield, CT to Naples, FL.

Believe everything negative you read about this company. Deceptive bait and switch, cheap boxes, inferior packing, independent truckers, extensive time between pick up and delivered, 40+ lost boxes, extensive damage, insurance is a joke. Run from from any company using DOT 2780116 including Cost Country Movers of 5213 Grays Ave, PA,

CHECK THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FILE BY THE FLORIDA ATTORNEY GENERAL 18-25446-CIV-ALTONAGA. Who knows how many AKA's they use under DOT 2780116.

  4. Worst Company Ever! Avoid if Possible.

Like everyone has mentioned this company will rip you off and throw you to the wolves! Movers were not able to get into my complex- fooled me into renting my own moving truck and never moved my items into my apartment. They will take their money and go! Not worth the savings you think you will get. Trust me choose another company!

  5. Disgusting service.

This company has the worst movers. The movers WILL ABUSE you. They will tell you they don't care about the company and that they are independent truckers. The person who came to deliver the goods at my new place, at one point said, "Do you think a 18 wheeler will go through this road? Are you fu*cking stupid?" I don't want to go into more details about my traumatic experience.
As others have noted, the company has devious money making schemes. First they offer low quote, then on the day of moving they increase the cost steeply, saying the original quote was just an estimate not actual price.
In summary, AVOID this company like the plague.

  6. Long distance move.

Do NOT ever use this company for a "moving" company. They will low quote and then find added cubic feet of inventory to over charge the original quote. They will take over a month to make the move, the will lie to you on any status up-dates, they will not answer the phone on up-dates, they will not answer any e-mails sent, they will completely DAMAGE many of your items (added cost to repair many items), and they will LOOSE some of the inventory items-and will not even try to locate said lost items. They only state to file a claim and see what happens. Then they offer an embarrassing low settle offer and state "take it or leave it". Again for your own sanity--DO NOT EVER use this company for any long distance move. This company going out of business would be the best thing for the moving industry. A one star rating is a gift only because a negative 10 rating is not possible to give.

  7. Prodigy is a Scam.

This has been one of the worst experiences of my life. I was quoted $2600 initially based on the inventory I had. The day before the move, I was told that there was “miscommunication” and that the price would actually be $3900. Pretty impossible to find new movers the day before you have to be out of your place so I agreed reluctantly.

The day of my move, movers were scheduled to arrive between 11am-3pm. They did not show up until 7pm and with only two people. They were not finished until 330 in the morning. And at 1am my husband started helping them pack just to get them out of our home. They were so disruptive to my newborn baby and his sleep schedule and despite the extra money we paid for their “VIP white glove” service. We ended up having to do a lot of the work and compromise our sanity in the process.

At the end of it all, the movers say they can only put the inventory on the truck if I agree to pay the new amount - $7700. The price TRIPLED from the original quote. And the secondary option was for them to leave with all of our belongings in the driveway. With a 7 week old baby and a flight to catch the next day, we felt we had no choice and had to agree.

Fast forward, I can’t reach anyone in management to share my experience. And when I’ve asked dispatch for updates on the truck, they say they don’t know where any of my things are. It has truly been a miserable experience and I would not recommend these con artists to anyone. Not even my worst enemy.

  8. Nightmare Experience.

This has been a horrible experience. I wont complain about the delivery time EVEN THOUGH the movers advised that it would be delivered in a few days, it was several weeks. I'm reasonable enough to understand that they had a bigger window based on the contract and that his words were more of an estimation. I even offered to have some other movers pick it up from the warehouse because it was so long. The issue is, IF THEY DAMAGE ANYTHING, IT WILL NOT BE REPLACED. NO MATTER WHAT THEY TELL YOU. I went with them because they were the cheapest. Now I see why. First, it will always cost more than what they quote you but that's because the size estimates they use are way off. The movers said my sectional was “extremely oversized”. So plan for an error range of 30% or more. I just ended up hiring another moving company to bring the rest of my things because it would have cost more for them to add it on during pickup so yes, I hired 2 moving companies.
The Pros: the movers themselves are really nice men.
Susan at the customer care was communicative and updated me throughout the move, even as it was delayed she would check and keep me updated.
Even the people who call to go over your list of items are very friendly.

The Cons: They wrapped things with tape directly on wood! There is peeled finish on almost every item.
They must have used the furniture like it was bumper cars because the sofa was ripped on the side- they wont replace or repair it even after I sent the receipt in.
They literally dropped my television, noted it- apologized right then and there, the movers wrote it down that they dropped it and they refused to pay for it. Just flat out said $267 to cover your ripped sofa (its one year old), your entertainment center-where the doors are ripped off, tables and dresser AND the "72 inch LED television we dropped- they literally dropped it and noted on the paperwork that they did. I called while the movers were still unloading to report it since they were standing here. Their response was “just file a report” How is that even close to okay? I held this busted television leaning against a wall in my hallway for over a month while they "investigated". Do your research, cheap is cheap for a reason. Look, I would say use them if, at the very least they paid for things that they ADMITTEDLY DAMAGE, but, even though I heard they wouldn’t it just didn't make sense. TRUST ME, THEY WONT. Heck that’s the guarantee for every mover. They said they pay $.67 per pound… remember when I said they’d already under-estimated the weight of everything? Even the movers said that all of my pieces were bigger than the estimates. Now I see why they do that, so if its damaged, they can use they smallest weight possible. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Generally nothing is bad enough for me to take time to write a review but after waiting over a month to solve an issue, this was just disappointing and frankly surprising.

  9. Move to Florida.

They showed up two hours late for pick up with only two workers. They were nice enough but we had a communications problem with their English which made things hard. We showed them what was go and to be packed. I did not follow them around. Long story short I went over cubic feet and cost me one hell of a check before it was all over. I explained I wasn't a professional mover and I estimated wrong. The worker ask why I didn't get a company estimator to come out. I said when I called I was never offered one. He said too bad. After announcing they worked for tips, had out, they left. Going through house I noticed another six large items they forgot. Move to Florida. I waited another two weeks for my items arrive. When they finally did some of the boxes were crushed. Have pictures. Again the workers started to bring our stuff in, I explained the boxes were marked with each room. I was told they don't do that, which room did we want all the boxes stacked, and by the way we work for tips. So my wife and I, in our 70's had great time trying to move boxes and unpack. I could go on and on. Never again.

  10. Stay away.

If you care about your stuff, stay away from this moving company. Their lack of communication is absolutely frustrating.

So , let me describe my experience with this Moving company. I got a great deal for a move from Jersey City, NJ to Sunnyvale, California. I had 6 boxes and a bed. It was within $1500. I said, I do not have the destination address right away. The mover said, they do a courtesy hold for 30 days and I can provide them the destination any time within those 30 days. So far, I was really impressed.
The pick up day came on 30th of March. 3 movers came on the day and asked me to pay $190 for long carry, since it was an apartment and not a single house. It was a bit surprising since I was not intimated earlier about the extra cost. However, I still do not lose faith and still think I have a good deal.
I post the movers about the destination address on 13th of April and give them 24th April as the first date on which they can deliver.
I call them on 22nd April since I had 24th April on my mind as delivery date. I get told, my stuff does not get loaded on truck till the delivery date which again came as surprise because in no way, things can arrive magically from NJ to California in one day. Still, I do not lose faith. I again call on 26th, to check if my stuff has been loaded on truck. This time I get told, they have not yet found a driver and I should call them after 48 hrs to check the date when the stuff can be loaded on truck(please mind, not delivery but 'loaded on truck').

I call on 30th April again to check on the tentative date. I get told I have been put on Customer Rep queue and I would get a call in next 2-3 hrs. I do not get a call on 30th. I call again on 1st May. I get told the same thing that I have been put on a queue and I would get a call definitely by lunch time. If not, I can call again. And yeah, you guessed right, I do not get a call. I call back again at around 2. This time I talk to a very irritated receptionist who again puts me on this 'queue' and seems to get very irritated when I tell her that I have been put on queue since the previous day and I do not get any call back. In these busy hours it takes at least 24 hrs to get back, I am told. I am asked to give till end of day. and no, no call yet.
The big question I have now is that what is this [EDIT] queue and how long does it take to get off it. All I want to know is if my stuff is headed out for delivery?

  11. Currently Order in Process - Review.

I did my move from Prodigy(prodigymoverschatnow.com), had a pickup schedule on 03/29/2019 (NJ) -(Done on time) and need the stuff to be delivered on 04/27/2019(still waiting for my stuff to get delivered), calling them every day, getting a false response (we do not have any update at this time), telling me will give you a call and never received a single call from their side. I am sleeping on the floor and my aged parents also. I thought this is a very professional business and they do understand the importance of customer but I was wrong. sorry to say. unhappy with the service. I hope I'll get my stuff soon.

  12. Horrible.

Do yourself a favor and find another moving company. The lack of communication from this company made my daughters move from Orlando to ATL horrible experience. Not to mention we did not move any big furniture but a couch, small 3 draw dresser and a desk along with 12 boxes. They charge you for anything you may of forgotten to list like a broom or dust pan. They took 2 weeks to deliver her goods and could never give me an estimate on when they would deliver. I called on 3 different occasions for a date and they never returned my call until 2 days before delivery. Even though they told me it would only take a 2 days when they picked up my goods.
They finally arrived and proceeded to tell me it will cost extra to bring anything up the stairs. What! No one ever mentioned an extra charge for this. They claim it is on the paper they gave to my daughter but my child was not the one orchestrating the move and as a moving company you should still make these extra charges known to your client. I clearly stated it was from an apt to a house. So now I have to pay the extra or have the belongings left in my living room. I know better for next time.

  13. Poor Service and Price Gauging.

I was given a very good deal for the move and when the mover got to my house the day before I was go close on the home and I needed to move out of it they told me they could not pack up my home for the price I was quoted. This was a big surprise to me as my husband had knee surgery and the moving guy saw that he was in position to move our home items and he doubled the moving quote. I was in a rock and a hard place and had to sign the document to have them move my items. I am very unhappy with the service I received. They low balled me and got to my home and jacked up the move price to double of what I was quoted. They are very unprofessional and rude, the manager is rude and does not listen to you. When speaking to her she over talks you and says things like no one put a gun to your head and made you sign the form. I signed the form under duress, with no other options at this point. I requested my items to be delivered on 03/29/19 and did not receive them until over 2 weeks of my request day. I would not recommend this company to anyone!

  14. We are very glad we used them!

There have been many times that I have had to move. I have had good ones and bad ones. This time I had an amazing move. I was walked through the process and my hand was held by Josh the entire time. Pick up went smoothly, delivery was very quick and there were no issues and nothing was damaged. Thank you all very much for making this a wonderful process. I would recommend Prodigy moving and storage to anyone!

  15. Not a Moving Company, a SCAM.

This company is awful. We had a horrific experience with this move. The last 4 months of my life have been spent dealing with Susan K and her unfulfilled promises. We moved from Fl to MI and it was awful; everything was broken, we had no idea when it'd be delivered, then we were promised compensation as well a claim for our items, none of which has been returned to us. They are not a moving company, it's a scam for a poorly executed delivery service. I filed a claim and was offered $12 for over $2000 worth of damaged items. All our boxes were smashed and thrown around but we were told that was our fault. Susan had promised me a refund for our troubles, then had the audacity to offer me $75 to relinquish liability from this awful company. We had a better experience shipping boxes through Grey Hound; it cost less, we were treated better and less things were damaged, they even delivered our stuff and it was done with more care and respect. I hope no one else has to go through the stress and overwhelming emotional damage this has caused us.
