  1. Don't Use - Not a Legitimate Moving Company.

Total scam. They contacted me after I got a quote asking if I wanted something moved. I was at dinner and didn't have my notes on who I picked, but it WASN'T this company. I sent the $149, but realized the next day that this isn't the right company. Won't give me a refund. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS. DO NOT USE!!
They claim they are ProMover accredited and Thumbtack "Best of 2016", but are not on any of their sites.

  2. Exceptional service and Diligent Workers.

I postponed my move several times due to my hectic work schedule. When I finally moved, these guys came through big time and did a great job without breaking any of my stuff. It was very last minute and I was surprised they were able to accommodate me on short notice. There were punctual and very hard working. Thanks guys for your help and I will let my coworkers know about your company.

  3. DC location - Fraudulent Company - do not use!

Booked a move with this company and foolishly paid a deposit of $165 before checking for their extremely poor online reviews. Called company to request a refund within hours of sending it, but of course they refused stating all the negative reviews were for ProStar Moving - Texas locations. Due to their unwillingness to cooperate, I filed a dispute with Paypal. As such the deposit was being held from them, pending Paypal's decision. Attempted to resolve again directly with ProStar Moving (DC location) but was told by their representative they will neither provide moving services, nor issue a refund because a dispute was filed with Paypal. ProStar Moving - DC location, sent text messages threatening to engage in fraudulent activities in order to convince Paypal to release the deposit to them.

Paypal eventually released the funds due to their policy on intangible service items (not covered under buyer protection). Contacted company again and spoke with yet another representative (same number/DC location), to request a refund, being they were not going to provide the service for which a deposit was paid. Representative advised I was calling the wrong company and a deposit was never received from Paypal, then hung up on me. Paypal confirmed their release of the funds to ProStar Moving (funds were sent via link provided by the company).

DO NOT ENGAGE in any sort of business with this company, even if they charge $0.50 for 6 hours of moving! They are unprofessional, dishonest and absolutely unethical.

  4. Moving Con.

I used ProStar Moving company on Saturday, April 6, 2018. Please take heed to this message. Let me first start by saying something positive. The movers were really nice. However, they were the slowest moving crew I’ve ever experienced in my life, and I think it was done on purpose. I’ve used Prostar moving company in the past. They actually moved me into the apartment that they just moved me out of 2 years ago. However, this experience was completely different than the first. The first time I used them, they were quick and efficient. This time it took them three hours to move me out of a 1 bedroom apartment, and I didn’t even have living room furniture. I had given my living room furniture away prior to the move thinking that it would decrease the time for moving. Waste of time. I don’t remember the guys names, but I will describe them. It was a young, slim, black guy, and a white guy with mid neck length hair and an eye patch who helped me to move. If you decide to still choose Prostar, call the company and request different movers if you see them coming. Nevertheless, the biggest items the movers had to move from my home was a washer/dryer and a bedroom set. I actually assisted by taking boxes down to my car and filling my car to capacity so that it would relieve the workers from having additional boxes to move. It didn’t help! One of the movers would move things like my ironing board. I could get the ironing board. They just simply wasted time. They also seem to talk more than they worked. It felt as if they were taking mini breaks every time they would move an item. It was really irritating and I wouldn’t recommend anyone using this company unless you want to get conned out of your money since they charge $100 per hour. It was really disappointing this time and I thought Prostar were a little more respectful with how they ran their business!

  5. Used Pro Star from MD.

This is the most difficult and scandalous move I have ever encountered. They were to pack my things and they brought a small u-haul, 3 boxes and no tools to take apart my bed. They damaged furniture and it took them 7 hours even though I did have 90% of the things in boxes. I live in PA and the men were sent from MD. Now they say I owe them additional money 1 yr after the move and they won't give me their mailing address to send a cashier's check. They want to send someone to pick it up tomorrow evening? My attorney called yesterday and he has a letter to send with the check. Don't use these people from Maryland!
