Terrible Company.
Moved from Texas to New York, they lost our furniture, rifled through our things, stole my DVDs, destroyed one of a kind artwork, dropped a file cabinet down a flight of stairs and pretended it was nothing,lied to my face, rude to my wife, hit me with hidden charges, then delivered my furniture two weeks late. Bad experience, bad company. Buyer beware.
Missing box.
One box was lost containing part of set of valuable antique china. The Anthem Claim management company reviewed my claim and said I had signed the paper which had said the company is not responsible for lost boxes. I have found it in the fine print of the paper I signed at pickup. The company is now to pay me $45, the rate based on estimated weight of a box. It is an embarrassment to me. Anyone moving items needs to be aware of this. I would have made other arrangements to move valuable items. My loss may be a lesson for others. I had been overcharged by several hundred dollars at pickup and the moving company later re-imbursed me for that. .

To say that I am displeased with this moving company would be a gross understatement. They are completely unreliable. At this point I am worried about the condition of my belongings. For the past 2 and a half weeks all they have done is lie to me about when my things will arrive. They keep extendng the deadline. They are dishonest, almost impossible to reach (believe me I tried to call and speak to someone about this on the phone but of course no one answers EVER). I can't believe the lack of service. And because of how poor the service has been, I am going to ACTIVELY urge people to choose another company over this one. .
Won't stop charging my credit Card.
I recently moved from Texas to Oregon. I tried to hire R&L moving. I placed a deposit as requested, and that is where the fun started. The first sign that I was in trouble was the fact they charged my credit card 2 times. I spoke with the owner and they got the charge removed. I tried to get the move scheduled and was never able to reach anyone. I then tried to get my deposit refunded which they did but then turned right around and charged my card again. I noticed last night they again charged me so now I have been charged 4 times on my card. I have had to cancel the credit card just to stop this over charging of my card for a move I could never get scheduled. I ended up having my stuff moved by Presto Logistics which was a fantastic experience and not one thing was damaged or lost.
Nice company to deal with.
Very nice people to deal with, very helpful. I had to find a place to store my items for about 10 months while I was out of country. All of my stuff was kept securely and in good conditions. The price they charged me was not expensive at all compared to other public storage companies. When I returned back, they delivered everything in a few days after I moved to a new apartment. I gave them a short notice and they responded promptly to my request. Three men – Alex, Mario and Edwin - who came to move in my stuff were very skillful. Good team work. They knew what they did. Great job!
